Pebble, this is a good place to offload the woe...we are always here to listen and offer virtual hugs or a slap, whatever you are in need of. I am often in need of the slapping!!!
As I'm an old timer i'd like to offer you some advice! You are just cycle 2 so really no need to worry, or feel at all it might not happen. Try and stay positive because if it does go on a while it is even harder to keep that chin up! I've no idea how how old you are or anything else, but really cycle 2 is early days. I understand how hard it is with people announcing pregnancies left right and centre, but your turn will come.

Hugs for you pebble it is awful, being surrounded by babies must be a nightmare. It will be your turn soon!! Sometimes I think how much more magical it must be when you have waited a while or struggled (not that I wouldn't rather be instantly pregnant) x

Ahhh Mama, your DH sounds like a dream! Mine probably doesn't even know where the Hoover is!haha!

Pebbles, I get your pain. I have a fair few pg friends at the moment. It's hard. But I have to remind myself that it will happen. One day. And when it does I'm goin to love that baby more than anyone has ever loved a child! Lol! Sending you big hugs xx

Hi ladies, at the risk of being all doom and gloom I need my virtual support network (you lot!) to give me mental hugs. I've just had a full on baby week and want to cry. Fed up of putting on a brave/happy face. I work in the baby industry which is hard enough without having the added reminder that I don't have a baby of my own when today two colleagues on mat leave came in with their new arrivals and another announced she's pregnant. Argh!! What a day. I can't even have wine to feel better as I'm being sponsored not to drink in Jan :'(

I know it's very self centred and of course I'm pleased for them all but...well..you know.

Officially have the best DH ever! Have had a crap couple of days, came home to spotless house, fave wine and food, big cuddle and told how much he loves me!!! Now I do have a lot to be thankful for I should remember this more often! What a sweetheart!! He so deserves to become a daddy soon!!!!

Sorry just had to offload so I can read back and realise how lucky I am....especially when I'm feeling poop!! hope you all have a nice wkend planned :)

onelife good luck with th painting, hope its as romantic as you envisage. All attempts of decorating with my dh have pretty much ended up in an argument coz he's a know it all!

Am now pinning hopes on havin had a short LH surge of only a few hours and having DTD every other day since CD8 means I have caught it. Otherwise I am just a deluded fool... Oh well! Off to see Maroon 5 at the O2 this evening. Will have to move like Jagger instead

Jenny - When i got pregnant with DS i had been temping for almost a year as we were ttc and i didn't want to start a new job then leave. After 8months of trying one of my temp places offered me an interview for a perm position in another dept. So i said yes, i can't put my life on hold and it doesn't look like it's going to happen soon. I got the job and accepted it on xmas eve. Had a skinful on xmas day. BFP on boxing day. Started new job on 3rd Jan. Spent the 1st 3 months puking, fainting, being sent home and even getting Optic Neuritis and being blind in one eye for 12 wks, oh yes and having a mini stroke and being diagnosed with probable MS. I had to tell them after 4wks as it was just so obvious - i was unrecognisable from the person before xmas - they must have wondered why the fuck the dept i worked for had recommended me.

Awh onelife your such a romantic at heart!!! But yes I'll be surprised if it results in dtd! DH and I are very affectionate most of the time but when painting it's best that I do very little or stay out of the way! It's soooooo stressful! And takes forever!!!! But good luck! I will be thinking of you when I'm relaxing eating my steak and drinking red wine ;)

Thora and Mrs I am applying for new jobs in an attempt to tempt fate, I can't help thinking it would be easier to just book a holiday or something.

Onelife me and DP bought a house recently and never in all the time decorating did we have a playful paint fight in fact it would have been impossible with me sulking in another room after he told me I wasn't doing it right. Its painting, not nuclear fission FFS.

The other thing i did last time i got pregnant you might want to think about is; booking and paying for a trip of a lifetime £11000 ski holiday to the Canadian Rockys, then have to go and sit around the hotel all day while DH goes off skiing then spends the evenings regaling you with how great it was and he has to go to bed early as he's so tired...No?

I'm going to throw everything at it this next cycle. Ov tests twice daily, DTD at least every other day (!), Big O after DH, pillow under bum, peddling legs, grapefruit juice, Manuka Honey... What else can we do? I'm also booking a tattoo to tempt fate.

I'm doing ok thanks KS, still waiting! But feeling bit more calm at the mo with it all. Had v sad few months before Christmas where all felt bit much, but feeling more positive now so hoping it lasts! How bout you, how you feeing?

Hey Becca your symptoms sound promising!! I'm still planning on holding off testing until Monday. I have, however just bought FRER tests (2 pack) so I will have to be very restrained over the weekend not to use them!!
