  1. The year of the rainbow baby. We pledge to be positive (most of the time). We pledge to cry less, shag more and swear lots. This is the one wannamummabees!

The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

I know just what you mean sundance - things aren't the same between my sister and I as they were. We're still really close, but there's a big elephant in the room that's stopping us talking about the things that matter most to us. I know she's not talking to me about her pg as much as she would if I wasn't having trouble with it, and I'm not talking to her about how painful this is, which I used to do before she got pg. It hasn't affected our relationship on a fundamental level, and I'm sure it won't affect your friendship, it's just sad that we can't share these huge moments with each other fully Sad. I hate that I'm not as over-the-moon excited by her pg as I always imagined I'd be, and not as closely involved as I hoped I'd be.

Sundance2007 · 13/01/2014 12:23

Morning all! And welcome to newbies, hope your stay is a short one but as you may have gathered from my terrible rants over the weekend, this is a great place to vent!

So weekend from hell over. DH has been so great and patient with me, haven't cried that much since the actual mc but I'm guessing there were a few af hormones responsible too. Looking on the bright side, it means I get 2 attempts at ttc in January as opposed to one (how's that for posifrickintivity?)

May main concern now is trying to preserve my friendship with my pg bestie. It's so awkward, but more so because she's holding stuff back so as not to upset me. Obviously I'm riddled with envy but hope I would never let that show.

OttersPocket · 13/01/2014 11:40

Sal I've been getting acupuncture for two months and I can honestly say it's never been painful. Once or twice I've felt a small jab around the ankle area which has make me say ouch but that's it. Most of them I can't actually feel. I enjoy having half an hour to just lie down and not think about too much.

Seasides · 13/01/2014 11:32

Urgh, did tax return on Friday sal. Unfun, and totally forgot (also this year) to put money aside to pay the bill. Cleaned me out.

DH and I both get acupuncture. He's a giant wimp with needles but is fine with it, says it doesn't hurt. Most of them don't hurt me, but sometimes, honestly, they do. Sometimes a lot. Particularly the womb-wards ones. I think that indicates something needs fixing though...and it doesn't hurt enough to stop going, and it does stop hurting quickly.

deuscat · 13/01/2014 11:29

Parsley and MissHobart - we are first cycle post mc buddies. When are you going to POAS or expect AF? My miscarriage started on 25th December and I usually have an average of 32 day cycle. So it would be 26th jan if it was to arrive on time but I'm going to try to wait till 1st feb I think for testing.

The thought of actually POAS makes me feel very anxious now! We are not doing any charting or opk's because I haven't done previously. Just dtd every 2-3 days and obsess about try to look out for ewcm.

Sal1977 · 13/01/2014 11:02

Sad to see lots of newbies here, but a very very warm welcome to you all!

Am arse deep in over analysing my temp charts tax return bullshit today, so still not dressed but don't give a crap cos it's freezing and tipping it down outside!

My MW friend recommended a woman that does fertility acupuncture who is also a MW, so debating whether to give that a go or not. More needles I guess. Does it hurt? Also am tempted to add up how much 4 duffer babies and no take home babies have cost so far...I could've bought one from Russia by now I reckon! Haha

7dpo at the mo here in wombofdoom towers, but temp is nice and high, so trying not to keep my pecker up!

Deus + Parsley - I'm in the same boat, first cycle after mc, dtd plenty but not sure if/when I'll actually ovulate! Bloods being done a week on Wednesday, doing opk to try and spot ovulation Hmm

OttersPocket · 13/01/2014 09:50

Beets Wow, congrats! How did DH take the news?

Welcome Verity and Bonnie Sorry to see you over here but it is lovely to meet you both. I hope you're not here long though!

Thanks Parsley for the Pregnacare link. I've just bought some but obviously will only need to take them for two weeks before graduating onto actual pregnant lady vits Wink

Glad you've come to a positive decision Sal It's rubbish having to think about all these things that no one else has to (or not in my circle of upduffed friends anyway).

I'm CD 9 today - SMEP started last night (DP is not aware of this!) I'm really not looking forward to this bit of the cycle. I find it so utterly stressful trying to pinpoint OV and timing sex with DP. And I have no idea whether the Clomid will work as it has in the past post mc....

Anyway, it's a beautiful sunny (and cold) day today and I'm determined to keep the posifrickenity up!

deuscat · 13/01/2014 09:27

Congrats Beets! That's great news for the thread. We need to keep up the posifrickentivity Grin

Another pregnancy announcement on facebook last night. I hate the jealousy it brings. I hate longing to be pregnant Hmm

Trying to remind myself that it will happen in time. I'm in my first cycle post miscarriage and we had originally decided to wait till after AF before trying again. But it felt really strange to not be trying and so we are officially ttc again. Obviously this means I'm not sure when AF will be due but I'm aiming to POAS on 1st feb if she's not arrived before then as it will then be 5 and half weeks since mc.

Welcome to the newbies. I'm fairly new as well and am finding this thread a great support. Sorry to hear of your losses.

Parsley2506 · 13/01/2014 09:26

bonnie welcome, you've come to the right thread for lots of support from people who understand what it's like. I hope you won't be here long.

suzy I'm also dreading expecting AF on Friday (but as this is only 1st proper cycle post MC who knows!).

Seasides let us know if you do decide to POAS!!

Seasides · 13/01/2014 09:08

Beets - any update? What did your DH say?

Seasides · 13/01/2014 09:07

So sorry to hear your history Bonnie, did you have any investigation into the losses or was the NHS its typical helpful self?

I hope you're right, verity - I've been told and read such different things, even doctors don't have a consistent line on it. Did yours tell you it makes little difference? It's taking me way longer this time (8 months now) - though I'm not sure if that's more because it messed my hormones up. My periods have never been the same since. Sorry about pcos also, you have had it all thrown at you :-( I hope you get a happy ending very soon.

No af here - technically 1 day late now, but also still only 11 dpo. Will test tomorrow morning before doc aptmt if still nothing. Oddly not desperate to test as I think it'll just be a waste of a stick.

SuzyBean · 13/01/2014 08:36

Welcome Verity and Bonnie it sounds like you have both had the most rotten luck. Hopefully you won't be here long.

Justone I'm in the middle of the 2ww and finding it agonising! AF due on Friday. I normally temp and so tend to know by now whether I'm in with a chance but I haven't been temping this month so have no idea!

Also I had ewcm when I ov around say 15 and then now I've had loads for the last 4 days. Of course I've googled it and it either means I'm pregnant or AF is on it's way. Hmm

BonnieBeaumont · 12/01/2014 22:31

Do you mind if I join you ladies? I lost twins in Nov 2012 and twins again in July 2013. Both sets conceived naturally - mum is a non-identical twin. 2 of my best friends have recently announced their pregnancies and I'm feeling pretty low tonight as I know I'm having yet another anovulatory cycle. Last cycle was 60+ days. Hmm

Parsley2506 · 12/01/2014 22:19

Ps, just saw your thread on the miscarriage board. You will have a baby, we all will. I am not prepared to compromise on that at all!

Parsley2506 · 12/01/2014 22:09

Hi verity, welcome and so sorry about your losses. I am pretty confident I can say that we all hope you're not on this thread for long!

verity888 · 12/01/2014 21:59

yes seasides I am a unituber, also have pcos so will be starting clomid, i have all the luck.Don't think only having one tube effects things too much.

Seasides · 12/01/2014 21:49

Hi verity, it sounds like you've been through the mill and back Sad. Did you lose the tube? I'm an ectopicer too, down one tube.

No af yet :-) at least its holding off a bit. Chugging the agnus castus like it's wine. Which I haven't had for 2 whole weeks! Will def have a glass when the witch arrives though, dry Jan or no dry Jan.

Good to gear your mind's been eased Sal, hope the meds work for you. And that you nailed your hen do missP, in all senses of the word!

Misspositivity · 12/01/2014 20:44

Welcome verity. Sorry you find yourself here but we will keep you company. That's has to be the worst start to the year ever but it can only get better.

sal yes took it same time will stick to the SMep for now.

Parsley. 11 days to go. Aaaggh. At least it's keeping my mind off TTC.

verity888 · 12/01/2014 20:22

Please can I join? Two mc and an ectopic (just to spice things up). I solemnly swear to follow the 8 rules. Although I am indeed poas daily to get bfn as last loss was nye (that was a fun night!).

Sal1977 · 12/01/2014 19:56

Glad you had a good time Miss P! Yes, booze coupled with a late night could defo make a difference! Did you take it at the same time this morning or was it later than normal?

Had a chat with my lovely cousin who is a nurse about the Heparin and she said it's absolutely fine and to definitely go for it! Totes put my chicken sized mind at ease!

Parsley2506 · 12/01/2014 19:56

justone me! CD23 here. Trying to resist the call of the nice Punk IPA that's waiting for me in the kitchen and be good just in case. ::sigh::
Also symptom checking like a loon but pretending I'm not.

MissP sounds like you had a great time! exactly as it should be! plus bonus drunk sex, even better! How long to go now?

sundance I am going to echo the 'could it be implantation bleeding?' Q, but if it's not then crack open the vino and numb the disappointment treat yourself. Un-MN hug for you, at least the crappy weekend will soon be over.

Misspositivity · 12/01/2014 18:55

Hi everyone. Well I have survived my hen do. Arrived home with halo and wand at 2:30am demanding sex due to poss opk. He was very accommodating!!!! Nothing will stand in the way of SMEP. Lol.
Had a great night and best of all there was not a bump in sight.

Sorry So many are feeling low. It's so tough but we just gotta keep trying and smiling. Xxx.

Expert tempers advice required. My temp was up this morning so kind of think I have ovulated or could it have been alcohol that caused it.

Justonemoretime · 12/01/2014 18:34

Sundance no chance its an implantation bleed?

Sundance2007 · 12/01/2014 18:33

And now AF has reared her ugly head!! A week early, and the day before I'm meant to go have a smear at the colposcopy clinic. FFS!!!

Jesus....in serious need of some posifrickintivity injected into my eyeballs
