  1. The year of the rainbow baby. We pledge to be positive (most of the time). We pledge to cry less, shag more and swear lots. This is the one wannamummabees!

The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Wow, what a story Just! Like a film, that must have been some bonding...! Going to fly down to be with my sis a week after due date, then might be around for the birth :-)

I've no real pg symptoms at all...maybe a couple of odd twinges in the womb area, but could easily be imaginary. But then no af symptoms either...all is to play for! Think I'm about 11 dpo now, so a very faint line could be to be expected? I can't imagine how happy I'll be if this really is it.

My ov day has been jumping around triple, getting later and later - day 17ish this month. Have a doc appointment tomorrow to talk about funny cycle.

triplespin · 13/01/2014 17:52

Omg seaside - cant wait for your news tomorrow now. This is so very very exciting!!

I hope I get to see those magic two lines soon. Rapidly approaching my original due date in 3 weeks time. Sigh. Also just offered a seat on the train to a pg lady and it made me think that I would probably have had a similar bump.

On cd 15 with ewcm since cd12. But negative opks so far. Not sure what is going on. Does anyone else's ovulation day jump around every cycle?

Welcome to the new joiners! Hope you stay is not too long.

HollyBen · 13/01/2014 17:48

Fingers crossed seasides

CD14 here. Only negative OPKs so far, though not expecting a positive until cd16. Been getting a bit of practise in has been much easier without all the Christmas nights out getting in the way. Just had an email from the place I go to for osteopathy and deep tissue massage which says they have an acupuncturist who specialises in fertility issues so going to look into that.

SuzyBean · 13/01/2014 17:38

Seasides have you had any pg symptoms?

Justonemoretime · 13/01/2014 17:37

Wow! Busy day on here!

Seasides how exciting!

Tanny hope you found the appointment reassuring. I have heard of that super fertility thing before (when it was on the news and all my relatives sent me the link to the BBC Health website!).

I have acupuncture, and have been going since July. I hope it helps. It doesn't really hurt, only a little bit, sometimes. I find the opportunity to relax in a darkened room very nice.

I found things very difficult last year when my sister got pg and then I was as well and I lost mine. I was very open with her about how I felt and she was very understanding. In the end it was all very dramatic as I was round at her place when she went into labour all of a sudden. I ended up being her birth partner on the bathroom floor with a couple of paramedics (who arrived with 5 mins to spare). Of all the possible people to be there, it had to be me! But it was amazing.

DPO9... tick, tick, tick....

deuscat · 13/01/2014 17:29

Fingers crossed Seasides!

SuzyBean · 13/01/2014 17:22

Good luck Seaside fingers crossed for you!

fedupofrainydays · 13/01/2014 17:05

Oooooh seasides good luck!!! And fx xxxx

Sundance2007 · 13/01/2014 15:23

Keeping everything crossed Seasides - this is certainly turning out to be a more succesful thread!

MissH - I had already planned to do just that, sent my friend another text this morning and will be seeing her at the weekend. I just hope I can get pg soon too so we can go through it all together.

TannyLoo - that's interesting stuff. Scary that you might be more prone to mc too though, is there nothing they can give you to help make those good eggs take over?

Seasides · 13/01/2014 15:07

Thank you everyone :-) Trying and failing to pretend it never happened. Analysing every twinge, of course. Have lit a fire and am burning the Christmas tree to cheer myself up. I realise that sounds like I'm dancing round a fire pit in the middle of the room, but it's in the grate! Not that mad yet. Really need to find some work concentration from somewhere!

Sal1977 · 13/01/2014 14:56

Bloody hell Seasides you nearly made me piss myself clearly at 7dpo it's a pg sign!!!

Remain calm. Or, go to nearest chemist and get First Response wholesale sized pack of tests and squeeze another wee out!!

Super-fertility link (thanks to Dr Google) here

tannyLoo · 13/01/2014 14:33

Seasides fingers and toes crossed right now! It's going to be uncomfortable to type or walk until I hear your next POAS result...

I had an appt with my Gynae this morning, and more bloods taken, but he seems to think they'll all be normal. In fact he thinks I'm tickedy boo for my advanced years, with good levels of FSH. He thinks I might be someone who is "super fertile" (should have visited Dr Google before posting) and I will carry any old deformed embryo for as long as I can. This means I have a 40-50% chance of miscarrying any pregnancy...

No harm in keeping on with supplements, acupuncture (yes, it tingles rather than hurts Sal) and TTC, I just need to be prepared for more losses before a success.

With this is mind, we are happily SMEPing away, and I got a possie OPK at lunchtime, so we're cranking up to our 3 nights of going through the motions lust. DH is having performance anxiety, poor thing!

Penguin13 · 13/01/2014 14:28

FFS phone! Quit posting before I'm ready. You're IN good company for the journey here was what I meant to write!

Penguin13 · 13/01/2014 14:27

Er you

Penguin13 · 13/01/2014 14:27

Ooooooh seasides keeping everything crossed!!! except legs as it's our time to get busyGrin

Welcome Newbies. As others have said, sorry you find yourselves here on this rocky road but you're good company for the journey here.

OttersPocket · 13/01/2014 14:19

Stay positive seasides. Repeat the TTC mantra, 'you're not out until AF shows'. No more tests until the morning now Wink

Seasides · 13/01/2014 13:58

Hmm. I took another test, of course, and now convinced the first was a glitch. 2nd was flatly negative. Will take another with FMU if af doesn't turn up before then.

You're right, of course, missH - I was thinking that as I typed. I should clear the air with her.

OttersPocket · 13/01/2014 13:56

Ooooh, Seasides Fingers and toes crossed it's a true BFP! Grin

MissHobart · 13/01/2014 13:48

Oh and Seasides - Eek! Brilliant! Grin

MissHobart · 13/01/2014 13:47

Seasides & Sundance - be honest with your friends/sister, I've done that with mine, actually told them how envious I am but also happy! I've told them all about my experiences with mc, and ask them about what's happening to them, symptoms etc, I'm more excited than them! The more you do it the easier it gets, honest!

Tell them you want to hear, talk it out, it'll be much better! Grin

MissHobart · 13/01/2014 13:40

Deus - Bfp on the 22nd Dec, mc started on 27th, finished 4 days later, my cycle it's usually 30 days +/- a couple of days, been testing for ovulation for the last five days, nothing yet, don't usually have any ovulation symptoms so not a clue of if/when it'll happen, expecting AF towards the end of the month, just twiddling my thumbs either way!

Having bloods done over the next few weeks.

Amazingly I'm not stressing! Have lots of stuff planned for the next few months, including lots of relaxation/pampering me time. I've done my time putting everything else on hold to get a baby! 18 months and three major depressive episodes, time to let it go and have some fun! Grin

Seasides · 13/01/2014 13:29

Thank you! Sorry, no thought filter on that last post...I don't know if it's there...though I'm sure there was one, it's now almost invisible. What does an evap line look like? Trying very hard not to get my hopes up, also still suspect it might be ectopic as can feel something on my RHS. Will try not to poas until the morning but I doubt I'll succeed!

Fairypants · 13/01/2014 13:20

Ahh that's fantastic news!! I'm so happy for you and really hope it's nice and stickyGrin

Seasides · 13/01/2014 13:09

OH MY GOD!!! Two lines...two lines...a very very faint second line. My heart is thumping, I can't believe it. I'm shaking so much. I never thought I'd see this again. Oh my god.
