I seem to remember there was a year thread when I first joined for 2013 but that didn't go my way. I can't see a 2014 one but I am determined to get my BFP in 2014 and hoping positive mental attitude will help.

Thought if see if anyone wants to join with 2014 goal to get upduffed rather than a monthly bus - some of us just need a longer term strategy!

Hi everyone, thought I'd do a quick update - had my hycosy this week and tubes are clear Grin but now got to wait 6 weeks for appointment to discuss next steps, and try in the meantime to get dh sa results coz it's driving me mad knowing they're there and we can't have them! :/

DogandBeth · 31/01/2014 14:12

Thanks for that jenny. Glad you like my username, always nice to meet a fellow dog fan :-)
I'm 2 days late today but did another test yesterday and it was a bfn, boo! Feels like af is on her way so I think she's just messing with me.
Flofly, any news? Have got it crossed for you, and anyone else who's testing this week!

wow LEtranger, thanks for keeping us updated! What treatment did he have? I have never heard of treatment for low sperm count but great to know it is possible.

Welcome dogandbeth, love your user name, me and DP used to watch a lot of Dog back in the day....good luck to you.

SnowBells · 29/01/2014 12:57

I'm on the February bus, but might as well hop onto this one, too. Been TTC seriously for 3 months (timing), but haven't used protection in 18 months.

Have had Day 2 and Day 21 tests done, but since my last cycle when Day 21 test was done was ridiculously long (9 days), I think the test would not have been successful. Have an appointment with GP on Monday to find out.

Also using the CB Fertility Monitor this cycle. I've had a 'high' for almost 10 days... not the long-awaited peak though.

LEtranger · 29/01/2014 12:30

Hi folks, just wanted to give a little update re the 47 sperm - DH had SA again (approx 2 months post 47 result and 1 month post conception) and apparently now he has 3 million swimmers!! So that would make it all a bit more probable...

So I suppose the good news story is that there is hope for men with azoospermia - from nil to 3 mil in 10 months is pretty good going! And hgc for men can work! I read lots of sceptical things about it, because they're not sure why it works, but clearly it can!

I hope all you ladies gets your BFPs really soon - I am now feeling the joys of painful boobs, exhausted and nauseous...

DogandBeth · 28/01/2014 14:03

Thanks flofly I'll keep it crossed for you this week too.
I cracked today and did a test was a bfn boo :( af not due til tomorrow so I guess its not over til its over...

fausher · 28/01/2014 09:53

Just got my Serum Progesterone test (Day 21) report and it says.... Progesterone ---> 11.9 ng/mL. As I have not yet got the Dr's appointment, does any one have the idea what it means?
Are the hormone levels normal or what?

WheresMrMonkey · 28/01/2014 08:20

So sorry Jesse such a horrible feeling. But glad you had a good chat, fingers crossed for next month

Jessewalt · 27/01/2014 15:51

AF arrived. Gutted. Oh well, onto cycle 9 and going to the GP to get a few tests started. Long chat with husband yesterday, feel much much better.

Flofly1 · 27/01/2014 09:54

Fingers crossed Jesse.

And big welcome DogandBeth. I'm sorry you are here and so sorry about your miscarriages. We are all at different stages in this TTC malarchy.....

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed tightly for you this week.

My AF also due this week but since finding out about DH's low motility I've given up hoping for a bfp. We did get pregnant a year ago (mc at 8 weeks) but nothing since then.

We are on the IVF path at the mo but will take a few months.

WheresMrMonkey · 26/01/2014 20:06

Fingers crossed jessewalt!

Jessewalt · 26/01/2014 11:58

I am currently day 28 and at least 10/11 dpo. Period due tomorrow or Tuesday. I always get brown spotting before my period for at least 2 days, so was expecting that Friday or Saturday, but nothing. I sadly allowed myself to get excited and did a test this morning. Negative. Rubbish. Oh well, keep going....

DogandBeth · 25/01/2014 20:43

Hello can I join this thread please? Currently trying to ttc no3, started trying at the beginning of 2013 but had 2 miscarriages, one at 6 weeks in march and one at 10 weeks in June. :(
Been trying since then but no luck. Due to test next week on wed so have it all crossed but not holding out much hope.
It is good to hear your bfp stories though, does give me a little glimmer of hope.
Good luck to us all for 2014 eh?!

fausher · 25/01/2014 19:59

OneInAMinion, LEtranger and sazzlehopes.... such a great news. Congrats!
Hoping to have more bfps soon
CD 20... NO ovulation symptoms this cycle.i wonder why
I have a serum progesterone test tomorrow
Lets hope all is good

JonesSchool · 25/01/2014 12:19

Well this is an emotional roller coaster! AF arrived two days early, it only lasted 2 days, this was followed by 2 days of spotting and then sorry to be gross a couple of days of egg white stringy discharge. Start to get hopes up, feeling a bit sick, think boobs are sore ( but I think I'm just prodding them!) few cramps, but oh no bfn this morning! Oh well, trying to get on with it and be super positive for the next cycle (not desperate!)

sazzlehopes · 25/01/2014 07:53

Hey m33r all ok thanks. Just holding on to these early days and trying to enjoy my secret and not worry about every little twinge etc. I have a doctors apt on Monday, one i had booked anyway to talk about fertility and my next steps so going to that with better news! I had a straightforward pg with first child so trying to remember that and not think this will be any different just because it took an age to conceive! No real symptoms yet...a couple of headaches but nothing to report.

Hope everyone else on here is doing ok and we get more good news very soon!

m33r · 24/01/2014 17:23

sazzle how's the pg? X

sazzlehopes · 24/01/2014 15:23

Congrats LEtranger and One! Such great news - and against all the odds it seems? Hoping you have a great pregnancy...your OHs must be over the moon!

Jessewalt · 24/01/2014 10:47

On day 26 and I cannot stop 'pants watch' for signs of AF. I would love to be normal again.......

JennyOfOldstones · 23/01/2014 14:10

Congrats Minion, LEtranger, and sazzle how lovely to hear all that positive news in a row!! I have heard many other stories about people getting preganant as soon as they get referred for IVF, kind of like they relax once it is in someone else's hands. And 47 sperm, wow. But multipled by 17 times is quite a lot more, I hope you found time to open some presents in between all the shagging!! Good effort!!

gwenabee85 · 22/01/2014 21:59

Awww, big congrats to sazzle, letranger and minion, excellent news! Here's hoping your luck spreads to the rest of us! :D

DulcetMoans · 22/01/2014 20:54

Congrats ladies! So good to see positive news so early into 2014!! Amazing!
