2014 will bring me a BFP!

I seem to remember there was a year thread when I first joined for 2013 but that didn't go my way. I can't see a 2014 one but I am determined to get my BFP in 2014 and hoping positive mental attitude will help.

Thought if see if anyone wants to join with 2014 goal to get upduffed rather than a monthly bus - some of us just need a longer term strategy!

Hi everyone. I'm new to this website and wanted to join a group with other women TTC in 2014. I came off the pill in Oct last year and had an 8 week wait for my first period. Now after an 11 day bleed we are ready to start. I'm just really impatient and all my friends got pregnant within the first 3 months so it'll be nice to speak to other women with different experiences :) x

Hi sazzle . I'm thinking 2014 is our year! Completely agree, that I loved the buses in the first seven months but it got hard to keep up / not let it take over life / cope with the monthly disappointments. Here we are now though... come on 2014.

10 DPO.... Dizziness is a bit low today, no cramps but change in taste of mouth... Couldn't sleep well the night before. Fingers Crossed
I will wait till 13DPO to for HPT.

Had implant removed feb 2014 and ttc #2 since july 2013, only had 2 AF since Feb. Hoping for good news for everyone in 2014! Smile Grin

Thanks Guys! MC seems to have finally finished today so looking forward to a total new start. Maybe even some sex finally! Grin Will be good to reconnect with OH without it being about ttc!Hmm

Room for a little one? TTC #2 was aiming for a 3 year gap before I hit 40. Thought we'd cracked it with bfp in August edd 16th April. Sadly it all started to go wrong at 5+5. It took over 4 weeks to have mc confirmed and almost 12 weeks for af to return.Waiting for af to show up after first cycle ttc (been spotting for past 4 days). Really felt positive about this month and was hoping for a positive end to what has been a mega crappy year. Hoping for a bfp before my edd in 2014

Hello all, nice to join a thread like this. I'm currently moving from bus to bus and while I love the support I feel I need a longer look at the ttc thing rather than seeing it in monthly disappointments.
Ttc no2 and just entering cycle 14.... Had bloods done and DH all ok in the swimmers department. So I guess next I could have a scan to check tubes? Is that what you do next? I've no idea....

Nice/not nice to see a few familiar faces on here. m33r in particular!

In my group there are a lot of second pregnancies all being announced all with the 'first month of trying' tag and I'm finding it hard to smile and not be jealous.

I'm starting some reflexology thins month and also hoping the crazy venos improves my cm too.... I guess relaxing would help but that is easier said than done when you've been trying this long!!!

Hoping for a bfp in the new year too :) may be sooner rather than later as currently on a 2ww and cannot test until the 3rd. (Spotting at min so may be out or the running already) but hopefully 2014 will be the year.

Hmm... Hoping for the best for all of us.
Dr has prescribed that medicine for treatment of infertility and spontaneous abortion (miscarriage) by stimulating the endometrium to prepare for a pregnancy and protect an existing pregnancy.

Sounds like a few of us have appointments and test results coming in Jan then. Hopefully the start of some positive news!

No idea about the symptoms faus but obviously hoping for the best. Not heard if that second drug you mentioned. Must be hard to pinpoint 5 days before AF.

unicorns I know, I expected (naively!) that they'd give me an appointment the week I rang as I'd just started af, so frustrating! :/ let me know how yours goes though :)

Hi Ladies!
I'm 29, DH is 30. TTC since Feb 2012.

AF is due on 4th (28 day cycle) I havent tested yet as I am afraid of getting disappointed yet once again Hmm
Today is 9DPO and I am having dizziness. Cannot stand for more than 10 minutes and have a heavy head too.
I do have some symptoms this cycle... not sure its AF or BFP.
Sore nipples, faint cramping on left inner side of the back(I had these in my last cycle too), uterine cramping on 8 DPO, creamy discharge on 7 DPO (TMI).
I am taking folic acid, and my Doctor told me to take Duphaston 5 days before expected AF.
Any idea what these symptoms are about?

It's so tough to know the right thing to do one. They help us as DH works away quite a lot but I sometimes wonder if we're mis-directing our focus ...

Onward for 2014 ...

m33r - OPKs were a disaster for me...I tried them for a couple of months & they said that I never ovulated ever, when the blood tests said I did. When I went to see my doctor she said they don't work for everyone & that they hadn't worked for her...and she was 7 months pregnant at the time. It's all so tricksy!

Me too.

We've been ttc since last December and really thought I'd have a bouncing baby by now or a least a huge bump! How naive! Had 21 day test. DH checked and all good. Just waiting for fertility appt.

Trying to convince myself it takes loads of people this long!

Strategy for first six months was try to ttc at 'right' times then went to opks in May. Gave temping a go but wasn't for me.

Come on 2014!!!!

I'm in, trying for no. 3 for 13 cycles now Hmm makes no sense as DS 1 and 2 didn't take anywhere near this long.

Hey ladies, I'm brand new to Mumsnet & would love to join if that's okay? We've been TTC for 15 months now with no BFPs & no MCs, ever - just radio silence. We've had various tests done now (HSG, SA, blood tests, etc.) & we get the results later today, so at least we'll start 2014 off knowing. I'm feeling slightly anxious about our appointment & totally clueless as we just started trying without doing any real homework, charting, etc. as we thought that'd be more relaxed (& because I have an obsessive personality). So I've no idea what to expect really or what our options might be Shock

Here's hoping that 2014 is the year for all of us! x

I'm tentatively dipping my toe in here - it's a secret and no-one other than OH knows that I'm desperately broody for the first time in my life. I am hoping at some point, even if it's middle-year, for a BFP Grin.

We're not TTC right now as I am on an imposed "Make sure you are sure" condition (I've never been broody, I'm 29 and we're renovating a 3 bed-house) but I'm working on it...

I joined the 2012 TTC board and have my nearly 2 year old DD as proof.

We had a lovely wee group and we still chat regularly and meet up now

I'm in. Halfway through the tww. But don't think I am pregnant this time. Been trying intermittently in 2013 ( I have issues and am seeing someone for them).

Hopefully 2014 is the year!
