The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months (preferably 12+) NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

The 17th thread, wow! This had better be it ladies, time to get off the Sofa of Pity onto the Pouffe of Positivity and beyond!

Yep, 50mg clomid gilster. Temp shot up this morning but I did wake up at 5am so not sure how reliable it is, although I did get my +opk 2 days ago. It would be the earliest I've ever ov'd. Not sure what to expect now. Usual 8 day LP or by some miracle something nearer 'normal' which will obviously have me convinced I'm pg

BlindKitty · 31/01/2014 06:42

Oh pip I'm just reading this now. I'm so gutted for you, I really am Sad. Hopefully it's true what they say about third time being lucky. Xxxx

Gillster · 31/01/2014 04:45

Pip - so very sorry that this hasn't worked for you again. Hope that you and your DH are looking after each other and that the FC we be able to learn everything they need to make cycle 3 work for you guys.

Barking - tough day at school. Onwards and upwards as they say and at least your current cycle seems to be on track. Remind me, are you on 50mg clomid?

RP - deffo go to the docs. This must be so frustrating for you. Hopefully they can do something to assist.

Boodle - great news about the impending swift polyp removal. Try not to worry about the GA, you'll be fine. Make sure you're off work the following day too. Did you manage to sort out travel arrangements? You're unlikely to be leaving the hospital much before 2pm and that is only if you're first on the list, if that helps.

Hello to everyone else (waving)!

naty1 · 30/01/2014 23:05

I agree 1 embi rule is silly. Possibly a general rule but exception if say you only have 2 and they are embies not blasts.
Which is where we were or depending on age etc
The one at a time site suggests it may not be suitable for all.
We have been given the info but i think as private they may not be able to compel so much as advise.

Ttc#2 after 20m old icsi baby

Funky - Clearblue advert makes me want to poke something spiky up her nose. Silly cow! Maybe they should have done it with the friend bursting into snotty tears and hot-footing it out of the room. I would find that a lot more relatable.

We had a baby visiting school today. Bleurgh. I shut my classroom door and hid at the back so no one could see me if they peeked in. Barking, your day sounds a lot worse.

Pip, I've said it in the other place but I really am so sorry that the bleeding has started early. I really hope they can give you some explanations and use this to improve your treatment for a 3rd time lucky.

funkymonk · 30/01/2014 22:20

Anyone seen the clearblue digital advert? Just seen it now for the first time. Its fcking awful cringy sht

RevoltingPeasant · 30/01/2014 21:48

Eurgh Barking that sounds particularly tacky.

Pip, that sounds hard. But you do have more chances. I guess that is not helping you right now though :(

funkymonk · 30/01/2014 21:47

So very sorry pip

barkingtreefrog · 30/01/2014 21:44

pip I think I'm just a little obsessed this cycle as it appears to be the first 'working' cycle since the mc, and my temps so far have been far more stable than ever before, so I'm way too preoccupied with getting a perfect graph and a beautiful temp rise! Grin Blush Ironically, I'm so bothered about it that's why I'm waking up and messing it up! Hmm

If I'd tracked a few cycles and knew I was ovulating I don't think I'd bother, but it's the only way I know whether my body is doing anything and whether the clomid is having any effect.

Parsley2506 · 30/01/2014 21:35

pip I hope you're being well looked after by DH. Can't say anything to make it better so I won't try, but just wanted to say how sorry I am.

barking well done for not popping that fecking balloon! I would've, and then also would've run away. Oh how I envy the blissful ignorance of those who either have kids and have had no problems or those who aren't even thinking about them yet. Kudos for not doing a Carrie on the lot of them!

Pipbin · 30/01/2014 21:28

Barking my questioning of cards and presents came from your first post.

Pipbin · 30/01/2014 21:27

Barking Thats one of the reasons I stopped temping. It rules your day and means that ttcing is the first thing you think of when you wake up. Lunchtime presents and cards?

RP One more NHS cycle left. Then if there are any frosties then I'll get three transfers too, but I've not got any in the freezer as yet.

barkingtreefrog · 30/01/2014 21:24

And the rest of it. My phone clearly deleted selected parts of that post and then threw a couple of random words around. Apologies.

The bit that mainly deleted theb splurged itself should have read something like:

pip I'm so, so, sorry, words cannot express how much this stinks Thanks . Sending big hugs and lots of Wine Wine or Brew or Thanks your way.

happy nice to have a cycle buddy!

I tried to be strong and go to pg colleague's leaving drinks after school. Managed about 5 minutes. Colleague on maternity was there with baby, hadn't occured to me she would be there. Between seeing them, the massive bump holding a pink 'baby on board' balloon, and then someone trying to get me to join the 'guess the weight of the baby' sweepstake, I couldn't take it. Ran into the toilets for a bit to calm myself down, came out to try again and just dissolved into tears and ran home. At least I'm not in tomorrow to sit through the present and card giving at school.

I shall now retreat and stop making a mess of the thread Blush .

barkingtreefrog · 30/01/2014 21:21

Er, not sure where the random word home popped in from!

barkingtreefrog · 30/01/2014 21:20

happy nice to have a cycle buddy!

Woke up at 4 this morning and grabbed the thermometer before realising the time. Went back to sleep annoyed that this could throw my temperature out. Woke up again at 5. Even more annoyed. Again at 6 home. At least I'm not in school tomorrow for the lunchtime presents and cards. . By the time my alarm went off for usual temp time at 6.30 I was mad! Temp was high but obviously totally unreliable. Fx I don't go through the same thing tonight!!!

Tallyra · 30/01/2014 21:11

Oh no pip Confused I'm so sorry.

ladybunnikins · 30/01/2014 21:07

Bunny I told my consultant about you and how you got 2 put back on your first cycle but she says the guidelines in the east midlands are really strict, it's definitely only 1 on the NHS cycle here. (Although they do go up to 40 HB, 35 is ridiculous).
Pip so sorry, I hope you've got Wine and Cake.

RevoltingPeasant · 30/01/2014 20:57

I'm so sorry Pip. Where does thus leave you in terms of cycles?

Bunnygirlie · 30/01/2014 20:52

lady congrats on the bmi

pip sorry for the unhelpful nurse and your mum sounds great Shock

Pipbin · 30/01/2014 20:49

100% failed now. Full on proper bleed.

HampshireBlues · 30/01/2014 20:46

Pip sorry to hear your news, will keep everything crossed that it stops xx

Thanks all for your comments re age; we only moved 14 months ago to buy up and move into a good school area - how ironic. I also think that the counties either side have equally ridiculous age cut offs. I am resigned to paying, just hope that we get a couple of blastos so we can freeze them! Thank you also for the get well wishes; migraines settling after a lot of drugs, now just battling a back injury.

Lady big congrats on the weight loss - full steam ahead! I guess the fact that they have some recent thank you cards could be seen as a positive, I hated that the data on the HEFA website was so far out of date, it made choosing a clinic so much harder.

Hope everyone else's weeks are going ok x

ladybunnikins · 30/01/2014 19:57

Hmm, maybe I'm just bitter! I saw a card on the wall written by a child that said, "Thank you for giving me a little sister" and I thought it very unfair that this unknown person had managed to have 2 children when I can't even have 1!
Shock at your mum Pip but I know my mum doesn't really know what to say.

RevoltingPeasant · 30/01/2014 18:22

Shock at "there isn't much we can do about that" Helpful, eh? Hmm

Lady but that is a nice story! That lucky lady is like one of the berries. She will have been ttc no 1 and going through the whole shit process and now she's out the other side! That would give me hope about their success rates and the way they treat their patients.

Pipbin · 30/01/2014 17:31

Well done of getting your BMI down Lady. I had to do much the same. I also cheated by standing very tall when they measured my height and putting all my weight on one leg when they weighed me.
I called the FC about the bleeding but I spoke to the only unfriendly nurse whose response was 'well there isn't much we can do about that'. She said that I need to carry on with the Crinone and test still on Monday.

I just spoke to my mum about it. She hates children and she asked if I was going to bother having the third cycle or just give it up as a bad job!

ladybunnikins · 30/01/2014 16:37

Pip, I don't know what to say, it's so unfair. Did you speak to the FC?
Naty sorry if I missed your introduction to the thread, you seem quite knowledgeable, what's your TTC story?
I had my IVF planning appt this afternoon and while I was sat in the waiting room a man came in with lots of chocolates for the staff "for the good work they had done nine months ago". I admit, tears welled up. I know I don't know his circumstances and maybe they needed multiple cycles but I still felt Envy.
On a positive note though, the consultant I saw this time was really nice, explained things really well and showed us the embryo sheet that showed exactly how our embryos progressed last time. Also, my BMI was 29 (it used to be 37) so we can have our NHS cycle. Will probably start down-regging in late March. (I did two lots of 30 day shred wearing a bin bag under my clothes this morning just to make sure my BMI was OK!
