The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months (preferably 12+) NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

The 17th thread, wow! This had better be it ladies, time to get off the Sofa of Pity onto the Pouffe of Positivity and beyond!

Barking, quite sensibly, my clinic are having me back to do my jab teaching on the first day I'll need it. I'm happy about this as I'd probably end up forgetting! I've been too busy squirming through period pain to call clinic. I'm jut going for no news = good news.

barkingtreefrog · 23/01/2014 18:42

tiger that's rough, did they lose it at 6 months then? Sad
I don't envy you the baby shower. PG colleague leaves at the end of next week. She doesn't want a baby shower (thankfully) but there's an after work 'good luck' drink in the pub next week. I really dont want to go, I know it's silly but I still do the 'I should have been leaving for my maternity at Easter' thoughts, which rwally aren't helpful. I've been dreading my due date but maybe once it's been and gone I'll stop thinking about the dates that would have been and it will be easier.

barkingtreefrog · 23/01/2014 18:37

Boodle Can you call them and ask them about the polyp? I'm assuming they didn't call you? Do you have the drugs to start taking unless they say otherwise?

Trying very hard to keep up - there could be 7 berries hoisted up into the 'copter within the next few weeks, and that's just the IVF ones!!!! Someone leave the ladder hanging for me please, I'll be charging down the yellow brick runway yelling "wait for me!!!!!!"

BoodleDoo · 23/01/2014 16:26

Merk, I should be starting IVF this cycle, assuming no unexpected hitches. Feeling pretty low about it all right now - am blaming the hormones of AF and hoping to get a bit more positive about it soon...

CatsCantFlyFast · 23/01/2014 16:22

Lurking and sending good luck vibes to you all
Boodle what's next for you?

tigerdog · 23/01/2014 09:51

Morning all! I have also cheered up since the start of the week. Acupuncture last night seemed to have done the trick, needles around the collar bone are apparently a good pick me up!

happy glad the hsg went well, the processes to get seen in the NHS seem to take an age. I couldn’t believe it when they scheduled my follow up for mid May after my appointment last week, and that it would be a 2-3 month wait for my hsg. The postcode lottery around funding and waiting lists is also pretty rubbish, but at least we do have the opportunity to access the NHS when we need it, unlike private health systems such as the US.

Nice one pip will be keeping everything crossed for you and I hope the two week wait doesn’t pass too slowly. bunny I also hope you are hanging in there, and sending positive vibes your way.

feather mega impressed with your spin regime!

sid glad you are feeling more positive!

boodle I am suffering with you on the period pain front. So bad that they woke me up at 3am and I had to scrabble around for ibuprofen and then took forever to get back to sleep. Tired.

Just been tasked with organising a baby shower for one of my closest friends who is due mid March. I’m not overly keen on the whole baby shower concept, but a get together with friends will be nice. Both myself and a friend are putting on a brave face and doing it together. I started ttc at the same time as her, so it is a bit of a painful reminder of our lack of a baby. The other girl is also finding it a bit tough because her brother and his wife were due around the same time, but lost the baby the week before Christmas. So all in all, I think it’ll be a bit of a challenge, but we will try to make it special for our friend nonetheless.

BoodleDoo · 22/01/2014 23:24

Feather - all this talk if spin classes makes me feel tired! and guilty for being a lazy slob ! Well done for sticking to your new regime!

Gah. Super mega evil period pain tonight; even a bath didn't help at all. Please, please, please let this be the last 'proper' one I have for a while.

FeatherFeather11 · 22/01/2014 22:56

Yayyyyyy! PUPO PIP! Everything crossed for you. bunny, you too. Not long now but imagine this is the longest 2ww ever. Flowers to you both.

Welcome back kuma! How are you?? Sounds like you've got a game plan, which is ace.

funky great news that af is sorting itself.

rp shaaaaaaaaag weeeeeeeeeek!

tiger sorry af got you. I know it's hard when that glimmer is dashed, but it helps me to remember that it's the start of a new cycle and properly fresh hope when she rears her ugly head.

sid excellent news on the drugs! Wowee - fingers crossed we're headed for and explosion of IVF berry babies, ladies! Grin

Hope everyone else is well. Did spin class number four this week. It's week three of my new regime. Exhausted and off to pass out in bed. No sign of af yet - was expecting acupuncture to works its magic on the same day like last time. Hmm

barkingtreefrog · 22/01/2014 22:14

Welcome back kuma, we missed you! Smile Hope you've got a clear plan of action within the next two weeks!

funky glad your body is back on track. Well done for getting an appointment and a reassurance that they will do something to help next time. I'm worried about my progesterone levels, I think that's the cause of my short LP and very light AF. Next time I get to the FC (mid March) I'm going to ask what my results were.

CD8 here. Optimistically started shag week tonight even though I've never ov'd before cd19 at the earliest. If the acupuncture can summon up AF after 4 months of waiting then why shouldn't it have straightened out the whole cycle?! Grin Grin Nothing like delusion blind optimism Grin .

Although, dtd was sore tonight. Last time this happened was my first cycle of clomid and you clever berries diagnosed thrush (I didn't have any other symptoms than painful dtd and then being sore afterwards). I think this might be the same again so I'm just going to skip the gp this time and go to Boots! I'm remaining optimistic - last time it was followed by a bfp!!! Grin Grin Grin

BlindKitty · 22/01/2014 21:47

barking not yet. 2 of our friends went over tonight but I've (childishly) kinda fallen out with one of them so didn't go. Would rather see her on my own anyway. She's slightly better but nowhere near ready to start ttc again atm. Thanks for asking btw

Bunnygirlie · 22/01/2014 21:43

Evening all.

happy glad your HSG went well! Hope things aren't as slow as you expect them to be.

sid when do you start?

Welcome back kuma, good to see you.

sid RP kuma funky Thanks for asking how i am. AF symptom comes and goes. I feel like I'm starting to lose it, this second week is just hell! I swing from being positive one minute to being fed up the next.

Ooh Pip i had somehow missed that it was transfer! How exciting to have two PUPO people on the thread.

Yes barking it is my NY resolution to be more pessimistic. We really need a stern suffering face emoticon!

Grin
funkymonk · 22/01/2014 21:04

Good luck pupo pip!

How are you feeling bunny?

Glad hsg was ok for you happy and good news sid that you're feeling a bit brighter and are getting some decent action from sh!

Cycle day 3 here. Very light af after mc but just glad its arrived really. Had fertility clinic appt today with nurse. She invited me in after I was pestering her on phone last week. Asked what plans are and she said carry on for now with option of progesterone supplements and hcg shots when/if get next bfp. Quite why they wouldn't do it this time I don't know. Anyway they won't consider anything else on NHS until November arrives and its 2 years ttc.

IamKuma · 22/01/2014 21:01

Hello Berries, I've been trying to find the right time to sneak back in from hiding (aka the depths of my office and far too many hours of work).

Pip I have everything crossed for you....

Bunny how are you doing today? Thanks

Happy I'm glad your HSG went OK, sorry they can't give you an appointment till mid March. I had my Antral Follicle Count done last month and the earliest appointment they could give me to discuss the results was mid-march, however after some emailing today asking for my results to take to a private consultation they have found me an appointment in a fortnight. Maybe you can follow up for a cancellation? You may find that you aren't on an 18 month waiting list for IVF given that you are over 35 (or almost, have you got a b'day coming up?)

RP good luck with your upcoming shagathon.

So as of this evening, I have one private FC appointment next week and a last minute NHS appointment in 2 weeks time. Not ideally spaced for sharing the NHS results, but at least its progress.

Hello to everybody I've missed.

Tallyra · 22/01/2014 20:12

Good luck pip, another helicopter occupant soon I hope!!!!

barkingtreefrog · 22/01/2014 20:07

rp damn those feelings of hopefulness! Grin Grin Grin Grin

happy glad all went well!

pip whoop! PUPO!! Grin Grin

kitty how's your mate doing? Did you take her out in the end?

BlindKitty · 22/01/2014 19:44

pip hope today went well!

happy glad Hsg went went. Told you the worst bit was the gowns!

boodle on the subject of your acupuncturist she gave my mate a free session today after hearing about the mmc. So lovely

Pipbin · 22/01/2014 19:43

Hi guys.

ET went well. Two had made it to basso. We decided to have just one put back.
They are going to call tomorrow to tell me how the others are getting on.

RevoltingPeasant · 22/01/2014 19:15

Hello all!

Glad to hear you've picked up a bit, Sid. It's just rotten when you can't shake a feeling of hopefulness.

Happy they may well say that just so as not to make you hound them. Bet it will be sooner! And like you say, you can always do a round of private and then maybe you won't need to worry about the NHS list at all!

So CD12 here so going to make DH take his medz tonight and then tomorrow we will recommence The Shagathon aka having sex twice in four days .

Bunny is your AF symptom getting stronger or going away? Fx!

happylass · 22/01/2014 17:15

Yes Sid half of the radiology department now knows the ins and outs if my job whether they like it or not! Don't think I stopped wittering the whole time I was in there!
Am guessing the 18 month IVF wait is a maximum but we'll almost definitely have a go privately before then.
Gonna jump straight back on the TTC wagon this month though, first shag week in over 5 months starts this weekend woohoo!!
Sid I'm glad you're feeling more positive about the IVF. When do you start on the drugs?
Any news from Pip?

SidneyBristow · 22/01/2014 15:21

feather what a stressful morning - that's totally something I would do BTW, get on the wrong train - I'm glad you were able to get your treatment and hopefully AF will come knocking soon Thanks

pip sending you lots of good Berry energy for your ET today!

Happy glad the HSG went well; scans like that are mortifying until you get past the reality that there is a stranger with a plastic probe up you and just decide to concentrate on the TV screen instead Wink I find myself saying incredibly inane things until there's something for me to focus on. which basically sounds like an extension of normal life for me anyway, ha ha. Sorry about the wait - March will be here before you know it though and it may be that Sept is their estimate, but in reality they might get people in sooner, you never know Thanks

tiger sorry AF got you; being late makes it all the worse, doesn't it Thanks Cake Brew

bunny hanging in there? Thanks

parsley can't offer anything on agnus castus; the furthest I went in alternative-medicine territory was Robitussin waste of time but tasted nice

Well gang I am in possession of my downregging drug. Like Feather, my mood has shifted and I'm v glad for it. Some early nights with DH have helped, plus it's shag week so grasping onto the fantasy of a truly last-minute FYFC. I know it's not going to happen but the possibility has lifted my spirits, so I'm rolling with it. Plus it's hard to stay depressed when DH is outdoing himself shagwise Blush

FeatherFeather11 · 22/01/2014 14:33

happy know what you mean about things taking ages on NHS, remember March isn't far away! Glad all went ok with the hsg. Did they say anything about you tubes while they did it? Flowers

I made it to my appointment 20 mins late and had to pay £20 for a cab there. I was lucky that she didn't have anyone booked after me so was fine to run over. She made up all my tinctures and a massage oil which I had to fork out another £70 for. Hmm Hopefully she'll bring in my af again any day now - cd 33 and feel like it needs to happen soon so I can book in for my hsg and either get on the ivf waiting list or back on clomid.

Hope everyone is well! Has the Berrie blues lifted? It has at my end a bit.

happylass · 22/01/2014 10:37

Just called the FC and our next appt is mid March. Why does everything take so looooooong Angry. Assuming we are put on the ridiculous waiting list then we'll be looking at NHS IVF around September 2015 Shock

Parsley2506 · 22/01/2014 10:26

happy glad it went well! told you those gowns are the trickiest bit! Haha!

feather what a 'mare, and so annoying! Have you tried appealing to the acupuncturists generosity?
