Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months (preferably 12+) NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

The 17th thread, wow! This had better be it ladies, time to get off the Sofa of Pity onto the Pouffe of Positivity and beyond!

Definitely feeling better today, thanks for the support. I only seem to get these pit of blackness moments during AF week, hormones + the physical reminder I guess. It'll be 2 years since we started ttc in March, can't believe it's been so long! Shock

A good friend of mine recently had successful IVF (with donor eggs) in Spain, she had being through the (expensive) mill here and it was only when she went to the Spanish clinic that they even found out that her previous IVF was a total waste of time because her eggs were duff.

We're planning some holidays at Parsley HQ today, having something to look forward to always helps raise the spirits!

Hi y'all!

Hey RP I am 13 dpt today.

Thanks feather. I am a moron too, my iPad has a big dent in the middle from where I dropped a picture frame on it, Doh!

Thanks kuma. Still keeping everything crossed that you will get some NHS assistance!

Wow pip you are so lucky to have a pic, how cool to be able to show that baby where it started one day Smile

Lol at poor snowdog

Hello ladies,

I had blood tests done for an unrelated issue and, as it turns out, my TSH levels are high (T3 and T4 are within normal range), 5.60 at the moment, which the internetz says is too high to get pregnant and/or stay pregnant.

So I guess I will be seeing my GP after our honeymoon. It will be a true moment of "the honeymoon is now over" indeed!!!

Snowlily · 25/01/2014 17:59

Hi berries, fingers crossed for pip and bunny & hugs to those feeling low.
Snowdog made us laugh this morning: we're currently on shag week & dtd early this morning, after which I had assumed the typical legs in the air post dtd position whilst OH went downstairs to get snowdog for our usual weekend lie-in cuddles. She bursts into the bedroom with her usual excitement only to see a pair of legs in the air protruding from the bed, she was v.confused & started barking (I hasten to add I had re-donned pj's as didn't want to embarrass the poor pup!). She was fine once I spoke to her and she realised it was me and then jumped on the bed (& accidently my face-ouch) for her usual greeting :)

Went to the Dr for my 21 day test results last week and apparently all is good/normal , and it could possibly just be 'terribly bad luck' that we haven't conceived, but he will write to the FC and refer us.

The chiropractor treatment I've had seemed to bring on AF the last 2 cycles that I've had- possibly a thought for those with awol AF?

For those on healthy eating regimes Sid? we're using 'Eating to get pregnant' recipes for fertility by Lois Francis (basically GL with extras) and other GL recipe books.

Enjoy the rest of your weekends x

happylass · 25/01/2014 17:24

Yes Merkin that would be great. Not too sure about Prague but it would be good to speak to someone who has been abroad. Is Prammy Viv re-incarnated?? All just research at the moment. Doubt if DP would agree to abroad. Or that I'd have the bottle to do it in fact. Also read that insurance can be an issue.

Amazing pic Pip

Bunny when is test day? Tomorrow??

Pipbin · 25/01/2014 16:57

Prammy Had IVF in Prague I think.

Pipbin · 25/01/2014 16:56

Oh, if anyone is interested then I've put the picture of my one on board on my profile.

IamKuma · 25/01/2014 16:54

parsley gentle slap from me, I hope you are feeling better today.

I had a day like that yesterday. DH and I had a bit of a falling out over our private appointment, he didn't want to go there without all of our NHS results, and I was just in a hurry to get things moving. We've now agreed to move it to the Monday after the NHS appointment and he apologised for being a moody sod about the whole thing. There is so much pressure it isn't surprising we get down from time to time.

happy I know exactly how you feel about the time and money thing; I'm just waiting for the NHS to tell me they won't treat me, then we will fork out all of my savings on one try at IVF. Time really starts to become an issue; unless I have an ironidiff this month I won't even have the possibility of having a child until I'm 40 and will be extremely unlikely to ever have a second Sad.

Anyway, must keep my chin up, its only 16 days till our deferred private appointment anyway.

wino I'm so pleased to hear everything is good so far; try not to stress yourself out too much. High FSH/Low AMH makes it hard to conceive, so you've done the hard bit now. Hopefully we'll be chasing you into the 'copter soon.

bunny,Pip everything crossed so tightly for you both Thanks

RevoltingPeasant · 25/01/2014 15:43

In other news - because I am a moron - I broke my iPad. It was the freakiest accident. I dropped it whilst walking past a coffee table. It has a really stiff leather case all around it (iPad, not table) but the one bit of the iPad that was sticking out - the control buttons - made contact with the rim of a glass on the table and it dinted the button such that it's permanently pressed in now. It's made it pretty much unuseable.

So I may not be around as much but will lurk periodically to see what's going on with everyone! Will be over £200 to repair iPad, but - this is so awful - I totally can't live without it!! So will wince and cough up....

RevoltingPeasant · 25/01/2014 15:40

Feather - is there definitely-definitely no chance?

FeatherFeather11 · 25/01/2014 15:39

Dropping in to say hi to all and to say good luck to bunny!

parsley hope you're feeling better soon.

No sign of af here, but no chance if bfp. Grrrr.

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/01/2014 14:43

Happy I have Viv's contact details if you want her experience

RevoltingPeasant · 25/01/2014 14:13

Oooh Bunny I was thinking of you this morning! Personally I am not going to test until I'm late from now on, I've decided. I don't even have tests in the house! It's not worth the heartbreak.

Exactly how many dpo are you now? Or dpt - days post transfer!!

Hmm IVF abroad. We are not nearly at that stage yet but it's worth thinking about!!

Boom hello! How are you? How far gone?

Bunnygirlie · 25/01/2014 13:10

Thank you boom puppy lady

Bad kitty Wink

Kitty that would be great. Didn't Viv go to Prague too? Had never considered going abroad until you mentioned it but have done a bit of Googling and seems like a popular option. Am still very sceptical though and would be very particular about the country. Spain seems like a good choice. Think the issue I'd have is getting the time off work, would obviously have to be in the school hols. Worth considering though I think hmmmm.

BlindKitty · 25/01/2014 10:58

happy somewhere in Prague but could find out more if you like.

bunny you are literally the most self restrained berry I know when it comes to poas! You know that not sleeping is a symptom though yeh?

ladybunnikins · 25/01/2014 10:55

Just saying hello to everyone and good luck to Bunny and Pip.

Not posting much at the moment, waiting for IVF planning appt next week for the next cycle so just in between-IVF limbo. O'd on CD18 this month so hopefully cycles back to normal now, now 10dpo and big temp drop this morning but I'm still staring at a clearly stark-white IC like it's a magic eye picture, willing a second line to appear!
Acupuncture going well, since I started it I feel like I no longer resent all non-IVF pregnant women which has made work much easier.

PuppyMummy · 25/01/2014 10:24

bunny sending positive calming thoughts and have everything crossed xx

Boomgoestheweasel · 25/01/2014 10:08

Hello berries! Just popping in to wish bunny and pip lots of luck. Keeping up with you lot on FB but I'm terrible at posting on here these days! Looking forward to a copter bursting at the seams this year Grin xxx

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/01/2014 09:52

Viv went abroad for IVF and got diffed

Bunnygirlie · 25/01/2014 08:48

Oh parsley Hun we've all had days like that, the amount of tears i'ved cried since TTC could probably fill a bath to the brim!

barking kitty I am feeling sick, not sleeping, freaking out! The last few days are hideous! I am too scared to test. Maybe I won't and just see what happens Wink

Bring on th FUFCs happy and barking!!!!!

OP posts:
happylass · 25/01/2014 08:32

Kitty where exactly did your friend go for IVF?
I'm not exactly comfortable with having to pay for treatment but with the ridiculous waiting list here I feel we will have no choice. If we rely on the NHS it means that we wouldn't start treatment until I'm 37.5. Assuming it worked first time I'd be gone 38 by the time we got our baby. I really can't put up with another 2 years of TTC Sad. Plus it would mean that my eggs would be even older and our chances of success would be less.
Barking I'm going for an ironidiff in the next few months too! It would mean a new wedding dress and a dry hen/honeymoon but guess its a small price to pay!

BlindKitty · 25/01/2014 08:05

Omg bunny is tomorrow the day? That's come around so fast (probably not for you!)

barking not that you'll actually need ivf but after talking with my friend at work I'd totally consider ivf abroad now (if iui doesn't work again). She said all her scans, work up, etc was done here and she literally went for ec and et, and it was significantly cheaper!

barkingtreefrog · 25/01/2014 07:17

Nearly there bunny ! How are you doing?

Hi Birdy how are you?

Great news win, must have been wonderful to see Smile

parsley we all have days like that, and you're allowed a little wallow now and again, you don't need wanging unless you're still thinking like that today! Wink

I had a reality jolt last night. A friend was asking about whether I'd go private for IVF and I said no, we'd go for adoption if it didn't work with the NHS. She said it was a lot cheaper if you did the egg sharing as she'd looked into it. Then I realised that by the time I've had my IVF round I'll be too old for egg sharing Sad . It's irrelevant really, as I've always said I won't go private, financially it's not a route I want to go down.

But I'm going to get a bfp this cycle as a triumph to irony - it would come just in time to ruin my hen do! And make it very obvious to everyone at the wedding that the bride wasn't drinking!! Grin

BoodleDoo · 25/01/2014 00:36

Don't be too hard on yourself - these days happen. Do what ever gives you comfort. (For me, hot bath and comedy panel shows...)
