Hi everyone my AF appeared on 3rd December, so got kicked off the December bus pretty early! But couldn't see a January bus yet!! My stats are TTC #2 cycle 5 Sad BFP due 8th Jan.

Had my first post-MC wobble on Friday night whilst walking home from the staff party (yes, wine and gin were involved ). Think it's out of my system now. It was one week since the op. Read up this morning and my risk of miscarriage isn't increased when TTC again and my fertility may be higher for the next 3 months! So full steam ahead on the January bus (to mix a metaphor)!

KitKat1985 · 21/12/2013 21:12

Oh cool. Always nice to meet others in the same TTC boat! Smile Me and DH have had all the same thoughts about maybe the time isn't right etc, but then thought 'to hell with it, let's go for it anyway'! Wishing you a successful month on your first TTC bus!

Meezermum · 21/12/2013 14:07

Thanks Kitkat! I know what you mean. I swing from excitement to omg what are we doing, how will be cope, how will be afford it, what about my career, and then back again! But people always say there's no 'right' time so I think this is as right as it's ever going to be.

I have vey long cycles (39 days) so our next window is mid Jan. The wait is killing me! I'm so getting ahead of myself - names already chosen, some baby stuff already bought. I hope I'm not setting myself up for a fall!

Looks like we're the same age as well. 1985 is a good year! :)

KitKat1985 · 21/12/2013 13:49

Yep meezermum you've got your stats right. Me and DH are also trying for our first. Usually I'm just really excited about it but I occasionally get panicky and think 'gaah, what the hell am I doing, I can barely even look after myself'! I hope you settled in quick. It's a nice friendly community and a good place to ask questions you don't want to ask anyone else.

I'm on CD9 and gearing up for our DTD-athon. Luckily me and DH both have some time off together over the festive break which should coincide with my most fertile days this month, meaning we should get plenty of DTD in (provided I have a normal length cycle this month, unlike last month's first cycle off the pill which was nearly 6 weeks long)! Hoping for a BFP in January to get the year off to a good start! Xmas Smile

MundayCakes85 · 21/12/2013 13:13

Hi Messer welcome on board! Bet you're all excited to get started!
Hope everyone's enjoying the festivities if not the weather. Think we'll have a wet Christmas this year!
I'm over my grump now, but stuck at work until 8.30 Sad will start the SMEP tonight- doctor told me to do it every other day especially cd10-20 so fingers crossed. Also a friend said she had an inverted cervix (?) so maybe girl on top might work this month- sorry for TMI! I'll try anything this month Grin

Meezermum · 21/12/2013 12:57

Hi, I'm new here and feeling a bit lost :s

OH and I will be trying for the first time in Jan. My period is due Jan 31st so I think that makes my stats TTC #1 cycle 1, BFP due Jan 31st.

Have I done that right?!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 21/12/2013 11:39

Sorry, meant to say, have a great day with Christmas prep if thats what you're doing, and thanks for the advice

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 21/12/2013 11:38

We're going sledging then for a meal, organized by DH himself no less! Which is a massive surprise as like you pebble my DH is not one for planning-I've have done all the Xmas shopping, arranging and wrapping for both sides this year! Bil has just invited himself over for the afternoon so better get up and dressed

pebble82 · 21/12/2013 11:08

Ah, the big Christmas dash is getting everyone. Not sure about you but my OH doesn't seem to do anything. I've bought his whole family gifts and all he's planning to do is turn up. He shows as much interest in Christmas as he does in baby making. He'll go along with it but draws the line at any preparation. Grr.

Anyway, must stop being so grouchy, tis the season to be jolly.

One thing that is getting me a bit down is that I'm taking my temp everyday and although I would swear I ovulated on Mon/Tues (16/17th I had lots of ewcm and OV pains) I haven't seen any rise in temp. Anyone else had this happen? I'm driving myself mad on Google reading things that say my body is just mimicking OV and actually I'll never release an egg :-(

Choccywoccydodah · 21/12/2013 10:50

Happy anniversary things (tries to erase the vision of you in bed with a bum prop Wink) Have a great day!!
Re opks, see my previous post, that's what I do Smile

Have fun kitty, try not to stress too much with the shopping!!
My dh hasn't bought a SINGLE present yet, he's planning to do it Monday, madness!!

Kt1991 · 21/12/2013 10:32

Xposts with things ! Happy anniversary :) do you have any plans for it?

Kt1991 · 21/12/2013 10:31

Welcome to more newbies! when im on a computer later will add you on the list! Can't believe how busy this bus is already!
Enjoy your day/ evening choccy Smile that's good that your DS wasn't scared of FC. It always feels nice gettung your hair done and being able to actually go out and show it off!
We're off to do the dreaded food shop this morning then seeing some family we won't see over Xmas later and dinner at my DMs. Then last min presents to wrap up!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 21/12/2013 10:23

Morning all Grin choccy your days sounds fab! Currently laid in bed with pillow bum prop in place whilst dh cooks breakfast. It's our wedding anniversary today Grin

Re OPKs do you generally use them twice a day? Have bought some and intend to use this month. Think maybe I ov slightly later than average as so far cycles off the pill have been 32-33 days and we had A LOT of sex last month except cd16-20 as DH was away. Advice on how to use them most appreciated

Choccywoccydodah · 21/12/2013 10:01

Good on you kitty Grin
I normally start testing around 2pm on cd8, then 10am and 5pm from day 12 when they start getting darker for me. I usually get a positive on cd14, but due to this chemical lasting a long time I'm not sure when I'll ov this month! So it's twice a day from today I think (cd8).
What are we all doing today?

We live in town so I'm going to take ds to see Santa at the church if he's there. He's normally scared but apparently at his Christmas party yesterday he was first in the queue!

Then I'm having my hair coloured and cut at 2.30, then a friends 40th birthday party tonight Grin

Kittyrose1 · 21/12/2013 08:22

Morning! Welcome to the newbies on the bus, it's getting busier here by the day let's hope we are all in line for our new year BFPs :)
This morning I have ordered ic OPKs and a basal thermometer off of eBay (thanks choccy), so much for re "relaxed" approach lol! Thing with me is once my made is set on something, I go at it with all my effort and I can be quite inpatient so there we go, I have succumbed! My excuse is my irregular periods mean I have no clue wen I ov each month as I have very little cm either...
AF is seems to be finishing today!

Nordicmom · 21/12/2013 01:12

Hi!
Can I join? December bus was my first one and haven't been on the threads since got my af . Well ov is here soon and have just started testing and hoping it's not as late as last month since that makes it right on Christmas when we're staying the night with my parents with no privacy . Other days would work . Anyway managed to get all obsessed last time already on the first go for years so that's not a good sign since this will probably take a long time if it'll ever happen ...
Anyhow please add me to the stats:
Nordicmom ttc 3 cycle 2 BFP due 8.1.?

ImaginaryHat · 20/12/2013 23:30

Evening all.

Mama sorry to hear about your food, definitely get out and re-buy before the crazies start bulk buying enough for a month because the supermarket will be shut for 1 day!

Welcome back Notta, sorry you've not had any luck so far but Jan will be our month!

I need to re-stock on the ic opks and preg test front. Im sure the people at home health have me on their crazy list the amount Ive ordered and gone through these past few months!

Munday sorry you're feeling blue, I know the 'why hasn't it happened yet' feeling well and it sucks. Hope you feel better soon Flowers

MundayCakes85 · 20/12/2013 21:47

Choccy I was trying to convince myself that AF was actually implantation bleeding as my temp hasn't actually dropped from last month!! Obviously ttc has driven me bonkers.
Just having a moment of "why hasn't it happened for us yet?" But I'm sure I'll get over it. Not holding out hope for Jan as DH is in a different part of the country over the fertile period Sad
Hope everyone's having a fun-filled festive evening x

mum2kiss · 20/12/2013 21:39

so I googled the blood tinged ewcm thing and lots of people saying its caused by an oestrogen surge and is a sign of being extra fertile that day! dp doesnt get here until tomorrow and it looks like I may be O-ing earlier than expected!!!!

Sparrowlegs248 · 20/12/2013 18:52

Read back a little. Waves at mama cycle 7 together!

Sorry to hear your news choccy fx for you this time.

Sparrowlegs248 · 20/12/2013 18:34

Evening all. I've been awol for a couple of months but am back and STILL not preggers.

Jumping aboard, rather rudely as not read back at all.

Nottalotta. Ttc #1 C 7 i think. Bfp due 3rd jan.

Choccywoccydodah · 20/12/2013 18:15

Munday, cd9 and you tested? How come that early?

MundayCakes85 · 20/12/2013 17:16

Slap required please- cd9 and temp hasn't dropped yet from last month. So POAS and obviously negative Blush
Please add me to the back of the bus:
MundayCakes ttc 1, cycle 6, bfp due 12th Jan.
Will be Sod's law it happens this month as I have my SIL's wedding end of Sept.
Choccy sounds like you're ready for next week. I spent the morning putting the roof on my gingerbread house, now have nowhere to store it!!
Off to catch up on the last few pages x

Choccywoccydodah · 20/12/2013 17:02

I've received my baby aspirin today, fingers crossed it works this month!

Choccywoccydodah · 20/12/2013 17:00

I order mine off ebay but lots do order from amazon too Smile
Think mine were £3.49 for 30 ov tests or £2.99 for 20. Preg tests were £2.25 for 20 Smile
