Month 7 of TTC and keeping my fingers crossed we'll get a wonderful Christmas present!

Mummybare - yay! Still hope! Please keep us updated.

As for me... Can anyone advise?!

Finally yesterday evening (cd33), I had some light pink when I wiped. I thought FINALLY, AF is here, and I can start over again. I have quite heavy periods so expected today to be the lovely full flow gush of bright red blood ( tmi, I know!).

However... It was a little bit pink. And then very dark brown (put a pad in to check, there hasn't been much though). What the...?! I want to think implantation bleeding... But why would it come now? I don't get it Confused

When do you think you'll test, mummybare?

mummybare · 16/12/2013 19:48

Aww, don't run out of hope, Loveyou!

Have been trying to distract myself the past few days, then I realised this morning I've made a bit of a balls-up. That funeral last month where I was on my period, that I thought was on the 13th, was in fact on the 20th. So it has been too early to test, which is great news and I think it's still possible that I'm pg - yay! - but I 'm so annoyed with myself for being so silly and causing myself so much stress!

Will retest in a couple of days.

Loveyouthree · 14/12/2013 22:24

I've run out of tests Blush

And also run out of hope, ha, so probably will just leave it for at least a week now. Frustrating!

KitKat1985 · 14/12/2013 21:44

Oooh, maybe test again tomorrow loveyouthree?

Loveyouthree · 14/12/2013 20:22

Hey all, still no sign of period! Very confused.

I can't have ovulated when I had a HUGE (sorry if tmi) amount of ewcm, because that was on cd12-13, and I'm now on cd32 (longest cycle for a very long time). Bfn on Friday morning, not even a hint of a line.

I must have ovulated late but DP and I have barely dtd since then so I don't think I'll be having an August baby.

Is everyone ok? Any updates?

Sorry to hear you got AF, KitKat, but I'm glad you're not in limbo anymore :)

KitKat1985 · 14/12/2013 12:33

I think mummybare that you are still in with a chance since AF hasn't shown up. Maybe you ovulated late?

Just wanted to say congrats again angelgabe. Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy! x

mummybare · 14/12/2013 07:36

Erm, so I tested last night AND this morning and got two bfns.

I still 'feel pregnant', but I'm probably completely delusional getting a bit carried away.

Still, at least my complete cluelessness about my cycle and the lack of AF means there's still a glimmer of hope.

Good luck to all the rest of you still hoping for a bfp!

angelgabe · 13/12/2013 23:29

KitKat i'm sorry as well. That sounded like implantation bleeding!

Mummbare i'd get the cheese and rare steak in now "while you don't know"!! Hope you get a good result tomorrow....fingers crossed for you.
I have lots of cramping and keep racing to the toilet as I keep thinking my AF is going to arrive still.
I'm thinking of you all and hoping your next cycles will provide BFP's!

Mummybare keep us posted!
Thank you all for your lovely words of congratulations
xx

What did you decide to do in the end mummybare? Test this evening or tomorrow? x

mummybare · 13/12/2013 19:27

Aww, sorry to hear that KitKat.

I'm not sure whether to test this evening or wait till tomorrow morning.

If I am I feel a bit guilty about the rare steak and glass of wine last night and the brie sandwich at lunch today. In my defence, it was supposed to be medium, it was a small wine that I didn't finish and I only realised what I was doing halfway through the sandwich. But still...

KitKat1985 · 13/12/2013 06:16

Ahh, have worked the discharge out this morning. AF arrived first thing as my Friday the 13th surprise... Just in time for a 14 hour shift.

On the positive side, it's put an end to all my confusion, and (assuming a more regular cycle next month) my fertile days should coincide with the time off me and DH have over Christmas, which will be quite handy. Here's to some guilt-free Christmas drinking! Wine

Best of luck to everyone testing today. Will keep checking in and seeing how you are all doing. We need another BFP! Grin

Jellybellymoo · 13/12/2013 00:20

Thanks mummybare and Kitkat, congrats angel babe that's great news!! After 7 months tyc you deserve it!! That woman sounds awful loveyouthree, I hope you told her otherwise!! So rude!!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 12/12/2013 21:11

Congratulations angelbabe!!!! (Tip to everyone else: every ttc thread I've been on has resulted in op getting bfp. Start threads Grin)

kitkat - that could be implantation bleeding
Maybe you ov-ed later than you thought?

I'll have two August borns if this one sticks. I'm a teacher and don't usually notice the difference (actually, I do spot the September borns but not usually any other differences) stupid woman!

KitKat1985 · 12/12/2013 17:41

Whoop whoop angelgabe! Don't feel bad about us lot - you've been trying 7 months, and wasn't sure you could be pregnant, so I think you've definitely earnt your bfp! Lol! Massive congrats to you. Wonderful timing as well just before Christmas! Here, have some cake! Cake

Sorry to hear about the witch turning up jellybellymoo. I know it sounds like a poor consolation prize but focus on having a properly merry Christmas with lots of mulled wine and pregnancy contraband - like brie and stilton, and having your bfp in the new year!

Sorry to hear about your BFN as well mummybare. But as you say, you're not out yet until AF arrives!

And I can't believe that woman was so rude to you loveyouthree! I think the 'August baby' thing is well over-stated. Yes there may be a small difference at first, as there probably will be a difference between kids just turned five and those nearly six, but I think after a year or two other factors become far more significant. I am near-enough an August baby (born July 30th) and did fine at school and have a masters degree. Yes, not everyone born in August will do well at school, but neither will those born in September, so it's all piffle really I think (love the word piffle)!

TMI ALERT!!! As for me, past two days on about 3 occasions have gone to the toilet and there has been some normal clear / creamy coloured discharge but with a small amount of pink / brown discharge in. Doesn't appear to be AF as wrong colour and no-where near heavy enough (not even really heavy enough to be spotting). What new hormonal torture is this!?! Also mummybare came home from work and found my internet cheapie tests as well. Did one about 5pm-ish (partly because they were there I think!) and another BFN... Now on CD36. Guess I'll just keep waiting for AF to turn up. Confused

mummybare · 12/12/2013 16:57

Oh wow, angel, that's fantastic news! And especially seeing as you thought it wasn't possible - makes it all the more special to get that bfp. So pleased for you :)

Loveyouthree · 12/12/2013 16:52

Omg!!!

Congratulations angel :) brilliant news!! Xxx

angelgabe · 12/12/2013 16:12

So sorry to hear your BFP's mummybare and loveyouthree, i feel terrible for you, the disappointment is a bit overwhelming at times. it has been for me.

It makes it harder for me to say I got a BFP this morning! I'm still in shock. This is baby #1 for us and we have been trying 7 months. I genuinely thought I couldn't be pregnant as I had an ultrasound last week and was told I had a polycistic left ovary, my endometruim lining was too thin to get pregnant and there was no corpus luteum which means I hadn't ovulated. So I am in total shock!!!

I'm sorry not to be sharing the joy with all of you....

xx

mummybare · 12/12/2013 15:42

Shock Wow, Loveyou, did that woman mean to be so rude??

I'm sure it can make a difference for some kids, but I would have thought, as long as you don't let them become despondent if they're a bit behind at first, it will even out most of the time. It's certainly not enough to put me off anyway. Obviously.

Loveyouthree · 12/12/2013 14:41

Sorry guys :(

Mummybare - I know that post was for jellybelly but thanks, it really helped :)

I want AF to come now! DP is working away and keeps asking have you come on yet? He thinks there's still a chance if I haven't, but there's a 0.001% chance, because he works away! Aargh.

Yes, September babies are, in theory, the geniuses. My son is the youngest in his year Shock and one cheeky woman I used to work with was charmful enough to ask why on earth I'd got pregnant when I had, as he'd be at a severe disadvantage and have no friends! What?!

Luckily a good friend from school was also an end of August baby, and she got a first in a Law degree at the grand old age of 20!! So pahhh.

Hope someone along with ATruth gets their wish!

mummybare · 12/12/2013 13:56

Oh no Jellybelly Sad

So disappointing, but not the worst time of year if you think about it: lots going on, so plenty of distractions and booze everywhere. The festive period will fly by and then you can get down to business without having to make up excuses why you don't want any eggnog every five minutes. Just focus on the genius September baby you're going to make in just a couple of weeks :)

Jellybellymoo · 12/12/2013 13:38

Sorry to hear that loveyouthree, the witch turned up this morning, I'm utterly gutted :( maybe next month!! Xx

mummybare · 12/12/2013 12:36

Just tested again: BFN Sad

It was with a cheapie test, though, so at least I can keep testing obsessively regularly now, to give me some kind of illusion of control Grin

KitKat1985 · 12/12/2013 08:48

Sorry to hear that loveyouthree. Don't give up hope yet though. You're not out until AF turns up. You may just have ovulated late this month?

Anyone else poas yet today? Good luck to all those testing later! x

mummybare · 12/12/2013 08:44

Sorry to hear that Loveyou - but as you say, there's always next month and, unless AF shows up, there's still a chance, right?

And don't they say September babies have an academic advantage down the line? I would quite like my DC to be two school years apart rather than three, so would really like it to work out this time, but there's always that silver lining!

Fingers still firmly crossed for us all :)

Loveyouthree · 12/12/2013 07:04

Bfn... As expected! Tbh I'm looking forward to a drink at christmas now, and august isn't the best time for me to have a baby because I've already got an August child still wishes she was pregnant though

Good luck to everyone else... Maybe instead of having the youngest in the school year we're going to have the oldest!
