Oh sebs you poor thing. It really is one thing after another for you at the moment! I suppose google does have its uses if that has been the problem all along? Its not nice for you to have to go through whatever it is but you seem to have a straight head on with it all. Will you call the doctors or midwife on monday? Hope you manage to get some rest tonight x

Well its been an interesting day!!

Started bleeding more heavily last night and today there has been lots of black sludge and lots of pinky red blood, no cramping. But when i say 'bleeding' its nothing like period blood and it only touches the pad, but when i wipe there is a coating on the tissue each time and it is mucousy.

When i googled bloody mucous in early pregnancy loads of stuff on cervical erosion came up, so i can't help wonder if it could be this instead of a threatened miscarriage. I also did another Clearblue digi with dilute afternoon wee and 3+ came up, so my HCG has obviously risen appropriately and is currently still high.

So it really is a waiting game.

Either this is going to end in miscarriage or i am going to be scanned on the 17th and see a heart beat. I honestly couldn't tell you what i think in my heart as i have resigned myself to all scenarios, im not even scared of seeing blood anymore!!

Ha fedup we are the opposite, weekends are a bad time for us for fertile period to fall! Did the clearblue ov test today but no smiley face, it's still a few days early I think, if I go off of last month I got a positive on cd 14, which will be thursday for me, which isn't ideal in terms of dtd! Hopefully we can catch it a day or two before I ovulate. Not sure you deserve a slap, more of a !! It's totally understandable the way you are feeling given your past year or so. What day do you expect AF? I can understand you wanting to wait till then too, I think I will too this month.
Sebs I think quiet optimism is the way to go from now on, I wish I could practice what I preach though! As long as it doesn't turn to heavy red blood with cramps surely it will all be ok for you.
Zippy how are you feeling? Do you have an inkling if it will be AF or BFP?
And where on earth are you girls living, it has been horrendous here today, blowing a gale and chucking it down with rain/sleet!!

Demi123 · 01/02/2014 15:03

Ginger - thank you :) and yes this will be my first, we've done it again today so fingers crossed this will be our month!! I shall keep u all posted , thank you to ur reply to fed up xxxx

zippygeorgebungle · 01/02/2014 13:57

Oh fedup. Maybe try and view it the other way, if you can..like if you don't get your bfp that is convenient whilst you are so busy and have so much planned. You know you do get bfps so all is not lost, it will be next month.

And if it is your bfp, you have to start thinking of due dates and the joyful bit and concentrating on all the ace bits.

All a loads of nonsense I know. I'm expecting AF in next few days too. Tomorrow if it is the cycle I had all my life until the last few months when it seems to have got longer.

sebs, you're pregnant and doing ace. I feel very positive for you. x

Gorgeous sunny day here too. Life is good Grin

fedupofrainydays · 01/02/2014 10:49

Yep - this is the first month am waiting til period arrives or testing only when100% sure it's not coming as just not sure I want to know early!

Sebs - I think from the scan news it looked positive as the bleeding doesn't seem to be mc related as it's all still in there and in right place but good plan just to get on with life. Although it's hard it's def the best thing to do. Gorgeous sunny day here today so good to get out and about for some rays!

sebsmummy1 · 01/02/2014 10:32

Fingers crossed fed up, totally understand your fears as I am sick of seeing blood too but we either give up altogether and get sterilised or accept this is the pain bit before we all hopefully get the gain. You could totally test at 11dpo and expect a faint BFP, I'm guessing you are going to wait it out though Wink

I've accepted my BFP is unlikely to go the full distance now. The spotting just won't let up and Im totally bored of stressing now. Had a great night sleep, have spent the last few hours cleaning downstairs to David Guetta on full blast am out this afternoon and tomorrow. Life must go on or else we'd all go bonkers.

Have a great weekend everyone xxx

ginger it's so tough when fertile period falls on awkward days of the week! I love it when it's a weekend for us but if it's mon through Friday I really struggle!

Knackered here (what's new!) was my day for a lie in but woke up at 7 so not really achieved it!

11 ish dpo here and starting to feel a bit nervous about both getting my period and getting a bfp. The former is just depressing and means on to another month of ttc (it's been 15 months for us now :( ) but bfp totally frightens me as am so scared of blood after last time. Not sure mentally I can cope! So kinda in a 'I can't win' situation.

Someone slap me round the face please and make me just get a grip... Thanks!!

fedupofrainydays · 01/02/2014 07:42

demi yes sounds fine. You don't have to have sex everyday for it to be your month and sounds like you did it a fair bit at the right time so good luck.

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 01/02/2014 06:27

Ouch 5 is definately pushing it Fedup! We sometimes have to 'schedule' it for ridiculous times too as DH and I don't see one another (at home) from thurs morning to sat night due to work schedules. Feels like wayy too much effort Confused I'm going for targetted BD this cycle using the clearblue sticks, as I really can't face lots of sex EOD all cycle long!!
Is anyone doing anything nice this weekend?

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 01/02/2014 06:24

Hi Demi, it sounds like you've done enough to me. You've covered every base with the dates you dtd for when you got your smileys. Fingers crossed for you! Smile Will this be your first baby?

Demi123 · 01/02/2014 02:21

Have I done enough in ttc?
I have been ttc for years, I have now tested with the clearblue smiley face opk's I got my first smiley face 29th and second 30th I had intercourse 28th 30th and 31st my question is have I done enough although I didn't have intercourse the day of the first smiley even though I did it the night before?

fedupofrainydays · 31/01/2014 22:36

Ps sebs 17th is 2 and a bit weeks away so that's good they are scanning you again without making you wait til 12 weeks. Phewf. Hopefully blood stays away now xx

fedupofrainydays · 31/01/2014 22:34

Know the feeling ginger I'm not looking forward to period not really cos it means I'm not pregnant but more it means I need to conjure up some energy from somewhere mysterious to have a lot of sex! One night maybe but when it's lots it's so hard at the mo when all I want to do at night is sleep (and no time in morn unless we set alarm for 5 which is pushing it more than a little bit!!!)

Have a good weekend ladies xxx

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 31/01/2014 21:07

Just jumping on quickly to say yey Sebs!!! Very happy and relieved for you. Fingers crossed you have a smooth journey the rest of the pregnancy. Roll on feb 17th hey! I am shattered so think I might just go to bed and read my book. And no I'm not pg, we haven't even dtd yet this cycle! Just bought some clearblue ov sticks so will start using them tomorrow. Do you know what though, I really can't be bothered having sex this month! Shock
Hope you're all ok x

zippygeorgebungle · 31/01/2014 17:53

crikey every time I go away for a couple of days something dramatic happens. I was all ready for bad news for you too there sebs, and was delighted to see the last update. well done you, sebs.

sebsmummy1 · 31/01/2014 14:18

That's how I feel Cake, the main thing is it is where it should be and now it's up to the gods as to whether it develops ok.

Fed up I am back there on the 17th February having a follow up scan assuming I don't have any mc type symptoms in between time xx

OP posts:
Cakebaker35 · 31/01/2014 13:14

Sebs that is fantastic news! So so pleased for you, it's not ectopic and that is the biggy, her explanation makes perfect sense to me and whilst the blood is scary and yuck I know plenty of people who have had this and go on to have happy, healthy babies. So the usual thing, try to relax if you can, easier said than done I know but this is really really positive news. Flowers

I have an urge to poas again today. Ridiculous, I've done 4 already and all positive so what's wrong with me?! I thought the madness would go after the 2ww but seems I'm doomed to madness!

fedupofrainydays · 31/01/2014 13:12

That's good sebs! Hurrah for not ectopic and for things looking as they should. Did they said wait til the 12 wk scan or will the do another to check for HB in a week or two?

sebsmummy1 · 31/01/2014 12:36

Ok, it's not ectopic so I am totally ecstatic about that!!

I was shaking so hard throughout that she couldn't tell me that much bar it had good blood supply, she could see the yolk sac and it looked how she would expect it to look.

No heart beat but she didn't seem concerned, re the bleeding she said she thought it had hit a blood vessel during implantation and that's why I keep getting this old blood.

To be honest I don't really think she knows at this stage and was trying to be a sweetie. We all know the key scan is going to be the next one assuming I get that far.

Today I am pregnant.
