Ah zippy I know how you feel I really do. I didn't go to half my NCT events as struggled seeing all the second bumps and babies. In fact I pretended I was busy last Friday so I didn't have to go round and be the only one without a second and hear all the stories about how hard it is with two... Blah de blah. Be selfish and do a family party for DD. That way she had a party but you don't have to face the sea of bumps and new borns. Sometimes you have to be selfish to get through this ttc hell. And I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

You aren't old either. The average ages for the FIRST baby at a hospital near me is 38. Yes, 38 average. I had DS when I was 30 and that seemed quite young compared to most.

Lots of love to you xx

Cakebaker35 · 03/02/2014 18:14

Amazing news fedup, so so pleased! And good luck to everyone else waiting for scans, 2ww and all the bloody waiting then tends to go with this TTC/pregnancy lark!

zippygeorgebungle · 03/02/2014 18:13

good for joint parties fedup!

Yes, AF seems to be here. I always have a day hoping it is implantation bleeding, but it never is. I'm so ridiculously sad and distraught, it just doesn't seem like it is going to happen and I am blaming myself for leaving it until I am in my mid 30s. Allowing myself a tearful self-indulgent whine. Except I was in my early 30s when I got pregnant instantly with the first, but that was almost 3 years ago somehow.

Trying to decide whether to organise a party for my baby turning 2 in a few weeks. Selfishly I think I can't cope with the newborns and bumps. A rubbish mum to be even thinking of that, it's about her not me. But it's hard isn't it, TTC. So very, crushingly, frustratingly, lonely and hard.

fedupofrainydays · 03/02/2014 18:04

I've just calculated a due date and it's DS's birthday Shock based on a 26 day cycle that's prob my average.

fedupofrainydays · 03/02/2014 17:46

Has af turned up zippy? Was so hoping for a hat trick this week x

zippygeorgebungle · 03/02/2014 17:25

well done fedup.that's brilliant news. It really is and you deserve it so much.

looks like I'm out this month Sad Sad Sad

PunkyBubba · 03/02/2014 17:08

OMG Fedup!!! Whoop whoop! Soooo hoping this is a sticky one for us both. We can both worry and stress together!! Xxx

fedupofrainydays · 03/02/2014 16:35

Well done for getting on with dtd ginger. Mine vary too every month so I go on when I feel a bit friskier and cm. I usually get some cm before ov so I'm lucky in that sense but whatever I always start with every other day from cd 8 until I think I've def ov'd.

Well, been feeling a bit odd today so went to the gym and felt dizzy on the bike and a bit weak. Had some more creamy milky cm again too. So I bought a superdrug two pack on my way back from the shops and it's a bfp. I'm shitting myself. I know I should be excited and I am but it's just triggered a whole range of emotions! It's not even a squinter. Really obvious line that came up straights away. Yikes, shiiiiiit, and a small, whispered 'yay'. Feel a bit crampy so hope I won't start bleeding. Please god may this be a good one :)

PunkyBubba · 03/02/2014 16:35

Thanks all :) I have to admit I am freaking out already about the possibility of another ectopic. I managed to be happy and enjoy the bfp for about 1day. Already been on the phone to the EPU today. They said GP has to refer me! Ridiculous! Anyway, so next time I can get a gp appt is next Monday (though I called back to complain as then the referral takes a few days more! So they said to call back on Thursday morning and they will try to get me in. Then hopefully I can be referred to EPU for early next week. I just want to know!!!

Sebs, hope you are ok, I hope the bleeding stops soon. The wait for the scans is torture!

Ginger, I would just go for it as much as you can, at least every other day until you get a pos opk. Then every day. I didn't get any ewcm this cycle until after my pos opk, which is why it was such a shock really!

Xx

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 03/02/2014 14:09

Yeesssss Punky!!!! Another BFP, amazing. Congratulations!!
Well ladies I did as I was told and DTD last night. It was actually fun Blush and I felt like I enjoyed it rather than just doing it to make a baby!!
I agree with you all, the few days before ov are the best and that is when I am hoping to catch it, but I also don't want to overdo it before then, to 'save them up' so to speak! My problem is my cycles have been a bit weird the past few months, so how do I know when the one or two days before ov are going to occur? I've been having a few cramps on and off the past few days but still no positive on an opk or any ewcm. Last cycle I got the positive on cd14, which will be thursday, so if I go off last cycle, maybe I will dtd again on tues and then thursday...so it will be eod during fertile week. God this all so confusing!!!!
Sebs I can imagine you must feel like you are going mad not knowing which way it will go. But you certainly seem to be in the best frame of mind, so hopefully it will tip to the perfectly ok side very soon, two weeks til the scan is it? Think of it like your 2WW!! Have you spoken to the dr/midwife today about the constant discharge?
Fedup any updates today?

zippygeorgebungle · 03/02/2014 09:30

Brilliant news punky. We needed another bfp. Strange how they just delight me on here and make me feel a little sad it isn't me in real life. Well done you.

No AF for me yet, but fairly sure she will be on her way any time.

But you're right, there's plenty of time to be sad when she's here!

Sebs, how are things today? Fedup, we both seem to be at the same horrible point. It's a comfort to know someone else is going through all this. x

Cakebaker35 · 03/02/2014 08:34

Wow wow wow congratulations punky, such fantastic news!

I've been lurking a little ladies, but just to say I too had all the usual AF signs before BFP so you're definitely not out until the bitch shows up! I also had nosebleeds too.

And yes ginger, get to it! Definitely the two days before ov seem to make the most difference, but then I was pretty unscientific about it all last month and so we just DTD every other day from cd9 to cd16 (plus a random one about cd23). I too took multivits but that was about it, couldn't do the propping up of bum as a few times it was just random mid evening so needed to get up!Blush I was totally convinced it would not be our month and them BFP. I think I'm about 5 wks now, going to doc next week, still feels unreal.

Sebs, sorry you're still having that bleeding but it does sound v positive as it's light, so hopefully just annoying rather than anything else.

I'll keep lurking if that's ok as I want to see the rest of you get those BFPs, it will happen!

sebsmummy1 · 03/02/2014 08:17

Omg omg omg that is the most BRILLIANT news, so happy for you darling Grin. Praying this is a great pregnancy for you. All my love xx

fedupofrainydays · 03/02/2014 07:19

OMG congratulations punky! Yay!!!!!!

I hope this one is sticky and in the right place!! And after all your probs getting DH in the mood this is excellent! Well done for persevering (and for the O after he's dropped his load - I fail at that part as usually O before him!)

Hurrah!!!

PunkyBubba · 03/02/2014 07:14

Not 'home to sleep', off to sleep... 'Home to sleep' implies I moved somewhere! I made sure those swimmers stayed in!

PunkyBubba · 03/02/2014 07:10

Morning girls, well it looks like the nosebleed was a sign, got faintest of faintest bfps yesterday at 10dpo. 2 more today for luck so I am just about believing it is real... Though the nausea also helps.. To be honest after the way I've been feeling the last few days I wouldn't have believed a bfn. Have had af cramping at 8dpo which I think was implantation, weird dreams, snoring (which I never do unless full of a cold) sniffly nose, pain from both ovaries.. Dizziness.. And the nausea.

So anyway re af cramping, don't rule yourself out til the witch comes!

Now I just need to get my early scan (in a few weeks) which will hopefully prove baby is in right place, then get through the first trimester without mc (and obv whole pregnancy)... Easy right!!

So, onto the what I did this month... Well you all know our bd timing was pretty good (fluke). Bd 2 days before ov, one day, and day of ov. All 3 times were at night, so I propped my bottom half up on a pillow all 3 times, made sure I had the big 'O' after the swimmers had gone in, then home to sleep with bum propped up. Both DH and I have been on conception vits. That's about it really. I didn't end up taking cough medicine, or any extra vitamins, or homeopathic remedies.

Just praying its a sticky one with good sat nav (oh and I'm not very religious but I did also pray this month).

Hope you girls are all good, zippy has Af got you?

Xxx

fedupofrainydays · 03/02/2014 07:02

So I went to bed at 8 last night and asleep by 8.30 and had 10 hours sleep and STILL feel exhausted. Must be pregnant right?!?! Ha ha. Nah, just need to catch up.

sebs i can imagine the rollercoaster. I hope it stops soon too. Think you are doing amazing.

ginger I know it's so tough isn't it - bit like 'what's the point?' When you have done it all right for months and nada. But the news says the best two days to have sex are two and one before ovulation so get on it!

sebsmummy1 · 02/02/2014 20:55

BDing even!!

OP posts:
sebsmummy1 · 02/02/2014 20:55

Ok, girls you know that early pregnancy also masquerades as AF on her way. Do you are not out until she definitely arrives, don't be sad yet xxxx

Ginger remember your best chance if success is bfing before you get your positive opk. So get shagging girl!!

Much the same here. Had very light spotting today. Massively better than yesterday but the spotting just won't stop, it's like a fucking dripping tap. I veer from assuming I have miscarried to thinking it might be something else, to feeling that I may have tingly nipples to thinking I have no symptoms whatsoever as the pregnancy is over. Etc etc etc. then add to that a general low level anxiety that at any minute I'm going to have a sudden mc and it will be painful and horrendously dramatic. It's as though I am teetering in top of a cliff and at any moment I will fall and it's totally out of my control.

OP posts:
GingerbreadBabyPlease · 02/02/2014 20:44

Girls my heart goes out to you, it's such a horrible horrible feeling when you know the bitch is on her way. It makes no sense why it won't work if you have sex at the right time!
I'm on cd 10 and keep putting off dtd Blush. Will have to go for it tomorrow though, can't leave it much later! Should get a +ve opk in the next few days. I'm hoping the less is more strategy works this month. But deep down I think really I've just given up. I've done so many months now of having lots of sex at the right time and it's just not worked that I think why is this month going to be any different. I wish I could just skip to that point in the future where I am ok and happy with only having one child and I lead a happy and full life that doesn't revolve around timing sex and peeing on sticks.....probably another decade or so to go yet!
How are you today Sebs?

zippygeorgebungle · 02/02/2014 19:53

Same as you, fedup. AF on her way, I can feel it. Not sure I can cope with yet another month of disappointment (not that there is another option but coping!), yet another mum from mat leave announced her pregnancy today at a party and I am pleased for her - she had been trying for a year, and is close to 40, so I know she knows what it feels like - but, you know, it's a bit hard too.

I only OV'd last weekend too, so still a short luteal phase. Though let's see when she arrives.

Hope everyone else well and feeling a bit less down!

fedupofrainydays · 02/02/2014 16:09

Ugh. Feel all crampy. Stupid period.
Been a gorgeous sunny day but I've been stuck inside doing my coursework! Please will there be an end soon...!!

In laws have come round and not in the mood so quite glad of the excuse to hide upstairs Blush

How are all my 2 ww buddies doing?

fedupofrainydays · 02/02/2014 07:53

We had sex at about 4 months with my son and other than that been too scared when pregnant!

Yeah am ok thanks sebs. I think af is on her way. I have a 13 / 14 lp so think af due by Wednesday.
I'm sleeping so badly, am knackered - just got so much swimming round my head at the mo. Determined to go to bed at bout 8 tonight and get some proper zzzzzz's.

Hope everyone is doing well! X

sebsmummy1 · 02/02/2014 06:38

Thanks girls, appreciate your calm reassurance xxx

Nope, haven't had sex since my BFP and that first bleed as I know they say not to and also I can remember having sex in the first trimester of my last pregnancy and bleeding and freaking out!!

Yep, I'm bullet proof now lol. I feel the worst has already happened in my mind anyway now so the road is pretty smooth in a weird way.

Fed up how you doing? Isn't AF due tomorrow if you have a 12 day LP like me? Hand holding here xx

OP posts:
fedupofrainydays · 02/02/2014 00:18

Sebs are you having sex still? As that can trigger it. Also I would just go with what the sonographer said that's its a burst blood vessel. The fact your hcg is going up as it should is a good sign - mine was weak and the conception thing didn't progress as it should so I think you are ok.. And if you are getting used / not worried by the blood then even better!!
