New member alert!!!
My husband and I have just decided to ttc! We are both youngest in our family although both on mid 20s! We want our children to be close to their cousins who range from 2-5! Just hoping our brothers and sisters won't be judgemental as they were all in 30s when they started having children! We have been on nice holidays but feel that a baby is the next step and we are very excited! Just looking for some moral support!!!

We dtd pretty much every day anyway due to dh's super high sex drive and me just wanting to get to sleep quicker (lol) so i supose it doesnt really matter using the opk sticks as we will always catch my ovulation day either way!

Mummyinpink1289 · 15/12/2013 20:04

Really? I didnt know u were supposed to leave the wee for 20 mins before testing! I have just been testing it straight away, did 2 at the same time before from different sellers so different makes of the cheap ones - one had a faint line (as its had every time ive done them from this batch ) the other had absolutely no line at all. Im really losing faith in these cheap ones, do they even work?!

ReginaFelange22 · 15/12/2013 19:51

Also wanted to say congrats to all the good news!!

December is a good month it seems!!

ReginaFelange22 · 15/12/2013 19:50

Got a positive ovulation test this morning. OH is away tomorrow early doors for a week. So tonight is all or nothing for this month!!

toots123 · 15/12/2013 17:29

Congrats Jess! :)

I had my xmas night out with work last night and been ill all day. Just done a opk test and its positive but im way too ill to dtd. :( We done it yesterday anyway and will do it tomorrow if still positive.

Im only cd9 so I wasn't expecting to ov so soon! Pleased though :)

Hope everyone is well, this thread has lots good news!! :)

Aw jess that's lovely news.

mummyinpink I'm with you on the temping. I tried for 5 days and got mixed results so giving up. I drank two glasses of wine the night before Day 4 and it makes your temp increase so as I don't plan on becoming T total until BFP the whole thing isn't going to work.

The OPK sticks are also a problem as not always home to do them. As they need 20 mins for the pee to get to room temp before testing I can hardly pee in a pot and have it on my desk at work/on the restaurant table!

Going back to the "rough guess" approach based on dates.

HippyJess · 15/12/2013 10:52

If I'm not PG by my birthday in May then we'll get married in September, if I am it'll be around our anniversary in 2015 :)

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 14/12/2013 22:57

Wow, loads of good news today! Congrats everyone, keep it coming!

Mummyinpink1289 · 14/12/2013 22:55

I am so over temping already. Im not organised enough to be able to take my temperature at the same time each morning. And these opk sticks r driving me nuts. Been using them for like 2 weeks now and nothing. :-( i give up on the planning! Ha. 2 weeks... I didnt last very long did i?!

I am not going to poas tomorrow....

Mummyinpink1289 · 14/12/2013 22:53

Aww congrats jess thats awesome :-) we just got married so im quite sensitive to proposals atm lol. Wll you wait until after you have a baby for the wedding or get married sooner? So please for u :-)

HippyJess · 14/12/2013 22:45

Wow Finn that's awesome! So excited for you Grin

No ovulating here just yet but DP did propose to me so I guess that's something! Grin suppose he's now DF! Yaaaay!

Hibou7688 · 14/12/2013 20:23

Excited! Just got a very very very faint line on opk.. This is my first official month of trying :)) eeek! Just needed to share this excitement haha.

RetroHippy · 14/12/2013 14:26

Finn fab news!!! What a lovely early Christmas gift Xmas Smile congratulations.

Day 42 of the. Longest. Cycle. Ever.

'Reassured' by DSIL who didn't get her bfp until 6 weeks. Gaahh! Guess I'll be POASing daily until AF arrives then... Confused

Treaclepie19 · 14/12/2013 09:29

This is my problem :( I was due to ovulate thursday but DH was at work then his Christmas party.
DH We had decided not to try til Jan but slipped and dtd yesterday. Guessing its too late for this month anyway but still.
In my excitement I got an OPK today and its said not fertile today so guessing we missed it.

MrsF2510 · 14/12/2013 09:22

Fantastic Finnable! So pleased for you!

Thanks Treacle and Things - am pleased I'm not the only one as felt a bit unprepared with all the OPK talk! Plus am due to ovulate (based on good old fashioned dates as a rough guide) next Wed so was a bit panicky that id miss out. Plus when you both work full time, you are kind of limited to what time of day you can DTD.

Hope you feel better soon Things x

Treaclepie19 · 13/12/2013 22:11

Congrats Finnable :)

KittyVonCatsington · 13/12/2013 21:24

Wow, wow, wow! So happy for you Finnable. Marvellous result! Smiling over here Xmas Grin

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 13/12/2013 21:11

So pleased for you finn Grin good luck

Finnable · 13/12/2013 21:07

Sending bucket loads of baby dust to you all! Just got to hope now that it sticks...

Thank you to everyone for well-wishing, it's so lovely that people are excited on here, as I can't tell anyone in real life!

I've just posted this on the 'bus' board:

I couldn't wait for tomorrow morning to test again, so I've just POAS on three different brands, including a CB digi - all BFP's!

Much stronger lines than this morning, plus the most beautiful words: "Pregnant 1-2" on the CB.

Things - I've had explosive poo a poorly tummy too (!!) so don't rule yourself out yet...

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 13/12/2013 20:11

Gah, strike out fail!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 13/12/2013 20:10

I think AF may be coming to get me. Cd28 (first period wss 33 days after finishing pill), bfn this morning and feeling crampy and bloated all day. Add in an upset tummy -+-explosive poo-+- which is my sure fire sign of AF, and I reckon that's me out Sad

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 13/12/2013 19:12

I'm not temping either....will see how things go then think about it in a few months if still dont have my bfp

Treaclepie19 · 13/12/2013 19:04

MrsF it is so frustrating :( just looking forward to January now (without rushing xmas by).
No I'm not planning on temping.

Some good news Finnable, fingers crossed :)

MrsF2510 · 13/12/2013 18:27

Can I ask, are most people temping? I hadn't even considered it - I thought pregnancy could happen 3-5 days after you have DTD so just thought if you did it often enough around an estimated ovulation time, it would be quite likely.

MrsF2510 · 13/12/2013 17:59

Amazing news, so pleased for you! Send some luck and baby dust our way too please! X
