New member alert!!!
My husband and I have just decided to ttc! We are both youngest in our family although both on mid 20s! We want our children to be close to their cousins who range from 2-5! Just hoping our brothers and sisters won't be judgemental as they were all in 30s when they started having children! We have been on nice holidays but feel that a baby is the next step and we are very excited! Just looking for some moral support!!!

Hi Lizzie I would just take it as a positive sign of fertility and try not too get too stressed Thanks At least now you can start tracking your cycle to work out the best time to dtd. I am in a very similar position to you and have been usinf ovuview app which is really useful to work out your cycle if you've been on the pill for a while, its free too! Annoyingly my phone died yesterday so I need to try to log back in somehow, not sure the tablet is the best place as it gets passed around to visitors etc....not sure I want my Dad reading about my CM Hmm might have to wait for new phone.

Lizzie1985 · 23/11/2013 09:29

Scratch that. AF came within 2 hours of taking the test. Don't know whether to feel pleased that it's back and can start properly calculating ovulation etc. or depressed that I'm not pregnant.

Lizzie1985 · 23/11/2013 08:24

Hi all. I hope you don't mind me joining the group. I'm 28, DH is 27 and it's our first month TTC.
I stopped taking the pill about 4-5 weeks ago. We started dtd straight away (I know- probably best to wait for one AF, but was just too impatient) and in the past few weeks was sure I was getting symptoms e.g. cramps, headaches, dry flaky skin, dizziness and a little nausea. However, this morning I took hpt and it was a bfn Sad I know it's silly to be so disappointed cause I don't know when or even if I have ovulated. Is it possible I could still be pregnant?

Don't know if I could do this kind of waiting for 12 months or more- it's so frustrating already!

EmberElftree · 23/11/2013 08:18

Morning all,

Another ttc#1 here - just waiting out AF so we can get busy on cycle #2 :)

Fx for a xmas BFP for us all - good luck everyone!

Kittyrose1 · 23/11/2013 06:52

Ah! Thank you, well my bug was just that, AF has arrived today!! So no bfp for me this time!

Lots of Scottish ladies here, I live in Essex - land of fake tans and white teeth ;)

ReginaFelange22 · 22/11/2013 22:23

I'm in Scotland too! :D

I've got my dates mixed up and since I only ovulated at the weekend AF won't be due for another week or so!! Waiting game I guess!!

toots123 · 22/11/2013 21:57

littlebear we have a fair bit in common. Scotland, 25 and ttc

Keep us updated on your test. Ive ordered amazon cheap tests so when they arrive I might test too

Littlebear88 · 22/11/2013 21:19

Hi Toots I'm in Scotland too! Decided I'm going to test tomorrow! Will prob be Bfn but just want to see!! Will be more strict next month and not test until missed AF!!

Hope so Honeybear - yet another FB friend announced her pregnancy today! Hopefully it means there's something in the water and we'll all get BFPs sharpish Grin

threebee · 22/11/2013 20:51

Honeybear30 Probably will, if my temps stay up!

Honeybear30 · 22/11/2013 20:40

threebee I'm also 9dpo, I think anyway! Not sure if I will test on Wednesday yet. I'm not 100% that I ov'd and would be do disappointed if it was a bfn. Do you think you will test on wed?

toots I did the wedding forum thing to. I think I see these forums as just a guilt free place to be as insane as I want about the littlest of things and not be judged! Glad my location made you smile :)

jess I'm sure it'll be January before you know it!

toots123 · 22/11/2013 20:21

honeybear you made me laugh! England is specific enough, yes. I understand you wanting to stay private. I recently got married and was on a wedding forum and kept my identity a secret

Its so nice having this place to talk to everyone who is in a similar situation.

Wish I knew where I was in my cycle.... haha

threebee · 22/11/2013 20:16

I'm 9dpo, can't say I've had any symptoms other than what I usually have in the lead up to AF. Not testing yet, will be trying to hold out until at least Wednesday.

HippyJess · 22/11/2013 19:58

HippyJess · 22/11/2013 19:58

I'll be waiting til January for my fist chance at a BFP :( boo!

Kitty it's "big fat positive" Wink

Kittyrose1 · 22/11/2013 18:58

Hehe thanks honeybear! I need to get up with the lingo, what's bfp? I'm day 26

Honeybear30 · 22/11/2013 18:45

Welcome Kitty :) I have a feeling we are all big symptom spotters here so you will be right at home!

Hi toots, I'm reluctant to give away a location, I am a bit paranoid that someone I know will guess who I am lol! I guess I'm just being very private about it, only one other person, a very close friend, knows we are trying. It's been pretty hard to keep it a secret though! But also I really don't want the pressure of people asking if i'm pg yet. I am so glad of this forum though because I get to chat about this, without it I think I might go mad! So I'm in England, is that specific enough lol?! :)

Where is everyone in their cycles? I wonder if we'll have any bfp's soon?

Kittyrose1 · 22/11/2013 18:34

Thanks, I know you're right can't seem to stop it though lol, nice that there is a forum to chat rather than drive my husband insane :)

HippyJess · 22/11/2013 18:13

MrsW It's hard to have it talked about constantly when it's not us yet, but it what what changed us from 'thinking about it' to 'going for it' so it's positive in more ways than one Wink it's harder when it's all acquaintances because I care about them less - harder to be jealous of my sister!

toots I'm currently between High Wycombe and Norwich (!), we'll know which one we're sticking with for the foreseeable future soon though!

Hi Kitty! Welcome to the thread. You never know! But try not to think about it too much I think Wink

Kittyrose1 · 22/11/2013 17:43

Hi and thank you mrsw, i am due for AF this weekend/early next week, my cycle changes a fair bit from 27-32 days. I suppose I could be but surely sickness is too early?

MrsW0931 · 22/11/2013 16:50

aww ur sisters pregnant, is that hard to see her talking about it all the time or are you ok with it now? i think i would find it hard if one of my close friends announced it when i was trying - suppose its bound to happen as a few of my friends are trying already so i will find out when it does.

Hi kitty welcome Grin when is your next AF due do you know? is it likely you could be pregnant with the sickness?

toots123 · 22/11/2013 16:45

Checking in and hoping every one is well. Still preying for AF to show up haha

Can I be nosey and ask where everyone is based? Im Edinburgh :)

Kittyrose1 · 22/11/2013 16:35

Hi all, new member here and literally my 2nd post ever! 1st month ttc so hope I can "join the club" with you all. Have been feeling sick for 3 days...keep telling myself it's just a bug as it's so uncommon to get sickness straight away, still can't help to get a teeny bit hopeful ...

HippyJess · 22/11/2013 15:58

At the moment she's more excited about my sister, who's 8 weeks PG with what will be her first grandchild! Grin So ours should hopefully end up being her 2nd :)

That would indeed be a great gift either way for your OH! That's awesome about your MIL, DP's brother has a son so it should be her second as well when we do actually get PG. No special firsts for anyone but us! Wink

I'm trying not to get my hopes up for a January BFP but I figured if it takes longer than expected at least if my mum knows we're trying than she won't be asking us about it and accidentally upsetting me...

MrsW0931 · 22/11/2013 15:34

is ur mum excited Jess? How many grandchildren does she have? My mum has about 7 between me and my brother and sister so she probably wont be as excited as my MIL as this will be her first. So excited about telling her whenever it finally happens as she cant wait to be a Nanny :-)
