New member alert!!!
My husband and I have just decided to ttc! We are both youngest in our family although both on mid 20s! We want our children to be close to their cousins who range from 2-5! Just hoping our brothers and sisters won't be judgemental as they were all in 30s when they started having children! We have been on nice holidays but feel that a baby is the next step and we are very excited! Just looking for some moral support!!!

MrsW sadly don't get to see DP til Thursday this week :( but it's something to look forward to, definitely Grin

Littlebear we, um, DTD quite a lot anyway Blush but he's such a soppy git I think his "Christmas come early" feeling will be when we eventually get a BFP! Wink glad your weekend will be positive either way!

Honeybear do keep positive, as others say now you know where your cycle is so you can get on it properly :)

Lizzie that does sound suspiciously implantation-like but I am an eternal optimist who needs to be regularly hit in the head Wink when did you test/when was AF actually due?

Lizzie1985 · 26/11/2013 20:02

I'd be grateful- sounds like you're in full working order again and ready to conceive! Smile

I'm in a quandary. Should I test again?

Honeybear30 · 26/11/2013 19:55

Much like I remember before, and considering I have been on depo and pill for about 8 years I'm impressed how well I remember how my body works. Cramping yesterday, starving for the previous 3/4 days, came on today. Medium for now but I know it will get painful. I definitely remember that bit! But I guess it could be different this time, ask me again in a few days! I only stopped my pill in 27th October so I'm happy af is here already, although of course I would have preferred a bfp!

Lizzie1985 · 26/11/2013 19:49

Gosh, sorry littlebear, I think I mean honeybear (all these bears!)Honeybear, what's your AF like? Is it heavy/light or much like you remember? I'm obsessed with what they're supposed to be like straight of bcp!!

Honeybear30 · 26/11/2013 19:45

You're all so sweet :) I like the idea that it's not a real cycle until you have your first proper af. I actually feel ok, I thought I'd be gutted but I did feel as if I was about to come on so kind of expected it. And I feel a bit more certain that I'll know when ovulation will be this time so I feel like we will properly be trying rather than just guessing. I'm also kind of relieved it came because I know a lot of people struggle to get their periods back after the pill so I'm very grateful that's not me. Thank you everyone!

Littlebear88 · 26/11/2013 19:43

Hi lizzie, still waiting for AF, just heaviness in stomach and some cramping!!
Have a fab girly weekend planned, so won't be too disappointed if she rears her ugly head, I can enjoy some wine!!

Hey guys seems like things are moving on for everyone- new and exciting things. Littlebear what was your AF like? I thought I got mine on Saturday but it didn't really amount to anything- a tiny bit of blood and some pale pink discharge for about 2 days. Was your AF as you remember? I keep thinking (or hoping!) it was implantation spotting as I really have no idea when I ovulated.

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 26/11/2013 18:47

Glad it went well for you jess, and honeybear at least things look like they are going the right way. I dont think it really counts as a cycle until you have had first proper AF anyway so stick around and we'll cheer you on

Littlebear88 · 26/11/2013 18:12

Hippyjess that is so exciting!! Has DP Christmas come early tonight?!?! ;-)

Honeybear I thought AF was visiting this am as terrible cramp and just had 'that feeling' no sign yet! This would be my first after withdrawl bleed so would like it to turn up...... Then have a large glass of wine!!!

Just think its an extra month to enjoy the excitement and make plans! I'm thinking if I get AF this month I can save some extra money and put it towards the nursery or pram!!!!

Lucky you honeybear I know its not ideal but at least you know where you are. Im still in the "not got a clue" club haha.

Im still hoping af turns up soon Confused

KittyVonCatsington · 26/11/2013 17:10

Big fat virtual hug, Honeybear. We'll keep you going until next Month Smile

KittyVonCatsington · 26/11/2013 17:05

Watching an old episode of "One Born Every Minute" on More4 (before DH gets back from work). Feeling excited and nervous at the same time; eek!

MrsW0931 · 26/11/2013 16:56

Glad to hear it went ok Jess, me tomorrow omg. so...r u and ur OH going to be DTD to conceive for the first time tonight?! Grin

threebee · 26/11/2013 16:54

Sorry to hear that, Honeybear30. I'm pretty sure I'm out as well, AF is due tomorrow and I have no symptoms to make me think otherwise.

HippyJess glad your procedure went well.

Hope to see some BFPs here soon!

HippyJess · 26/11/2013 16:24

Well that was an absolute breeze! You have nothing to worry about MrsW :) slightly uncomfortable but miles better than getting it put in!

MrsW0931 · 26/11/2013 16:20

u can still stick around with us guys Honeybear keep us updated!

Good luck Jess, i hope it goes well! They say its easier than putting the thing in so you will be fine!

Honeybear30 · 26/11/2013 16:06

AF is here :( no lucky first cycle for me. I'm pleased though because it's come exactly 27 days after my withdrawal bleed so it would appear I'm settling back into proper periods already which is reassuring. Looks like I'm not on my first month anymore so I'll not be in the 1st month TTC thread any longer! Good luck to everyone else, I shall continue to lurk!

HippyJess · 26/11/2013 15:10

Haha! Oh dear Grin

I'm in the waiting room as we speak. Hope it'll all be fine, trying not to worry unnecessarily.

MrsW0931 · 26/11/2013 15:08

The awkward moment when u bump into the doctor who will be removing my coil tomorrow at my eldest childs school! What do u say?! Lol

MrsW0931 · 26/11/2013 14:24

I know i know im just so excited about telling him and almost every day he says something along the lines of 'id love it if u told me ur coil was out now' so it just tempts me more and more each day. If i manage to get the coil from the doctor to bring home i will defo not tell him as that will actually be his present. save me a fortune! ha

Finnable · 26/11/2013 13:37

Hi Mrs W - not a clue about the coil, I was an implant girl myself. About keeping schtum though, YOU CAN DO IT! Every time you weaken, picture his face on Christmas Eve- and how proud you'll be of yourself!
X

MrsW0931 · 26/11/2013 12:07

iv also ordered some ovulation sticks just because im so excited, and i have no idea about my cycle anymore since my periods stopped when having the coil put in so be good to get an idea once it returns to normal.

One thing i dont understand is, if the coil works partly by thinning the lining of the uterus wall - how can fertility return to normal as soon as the coil is out? Wouldnt u think it would take at least a few days for the lining to thicken back up to normal? or am i overthinking?

MrsW0931 · 26/11/2013 12:05

I really cant imagine im gonna be able to keep schtum for another 30 days without telling him the coil is out. I need some words of encouragement as i really did wanna tell him maybe xmas eve when we go to bed - as my Grandad is staying with us over christmas after my Nan passed last year its sort of become a tradition to have him over to make sure he has people around him. I must not weaken! ha.

MrsW0931 · 26/11/2013 11:36

Good luck Jess! Eeek im nervous for you! please dont come back tonight and tell us all a horror story about it as mines coming out tomorrow and im already nervous as hell and trying to convince myself to reschedule! lol.

HippyJess · 26/11/2013 09:28

Finnable be determined! I've managed veeeery little uni work over the past week due to the brain being filled with babies Wink
