New member alert!!!
My husband and I have just decided to ttc! We are both youngest in our family although both on mid 20s! We want our children to be close to their cousins who range from 2-5! Just hoping our brothers and sisters won't be judgemental as they were all in 30s when they started having children! We have been on nice holidays but feel that a baby is the next step and we are very excited! Just looking for some moral support!!!

Weird you say that ThingsThatGoHump as after we DTD last night (first time since coil removed) that is exactly what i did! Blush Cant harm to try eh?

When did you stop taking the pill Lizzie? Dont be dis heartened like ThingsThatGoHump says as it can take up to 6 months for the pill to come out of your system so its likely to just be that as it sounds like you havent been off the pill for too long? chin up

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 28/11/2013 08:40

Hey lizzie don't get too disheartened, its really early days. I had horrid symptoms when I first came off the pill- nausea, headaches, cramps, massively emotional Sad Did a couple of hpts as it made me so paranoid. My first period was very light too, and stopped for about 12 hours in the middle....all very odd. Hoping I back to normal now though and dtd like mad. Try not to streas yourself out as this wont help!

On another issue, way tmi, but what tactics are you ladies using to keep the swimmers going in the right direction? I am doing some hip tilting/bum propping for ten mins or so after dtd then trying to just go to sleep without going to the loo...it seems to be working but then for the first few hours the next day I get a bit of leakage ifykwim? Shock Its not a lot and it doesn't bother me but I just wondered if I am being ott here?

Lizzie1985 · 28/11/2013 07:59

Hi Ladies. After trying to be patient and virtuous, I caved in and tested yday. A stupid horrid BFN Sad. I just don't understand what's happening to my body. I really thought I had pregnancy symptoms too. And the spotting. Was that my first period? I've been so emotional since coming off the pill too. I don't know whether to start charting temps yet? Ugh. Want to cry cause it's all so confusing and irritating.

KittyVonCatsington · 28/11/2013 07:01

What an unfortunate 'side effect', QueenFaerie!, but at least it is a positive sign-keeping fingers crossed for you Smile

QueenFaerie86 · 28/11/2013 06:58

I'm a week through the 2 week wait, I'm trying not to symptom spot but I've woken up this morning with thrush and I only have ever had it when I've been pregnant! Literally get it from the very beginning! Trying so hard not to get my hopes up but it's a good sign for me! Not very pleasant sign but I'll take it!! Eeeee!

HippyJess · 27/11/2013 23:58

I am not in any way watching back-to-back episodes of One Born Every Minute. Nope, nuh uh, nothing to see here... Blush

ReginaFelange22 · 27/11/2013 23:57

Still reading and waiting...don't expect to be as lucky to have conceived first round but let's wait and see I suppose!

Honeybear30 · 27/11/2013 21:19

mrsw I cannot believe that at the doctors! What are the chances?!

littlebear I'm glad you got your af after 28 days, like me to, body getting back to normal :)

MrsW0931 · 27/11/2013 20:56

So DH came home tonight and i hugged him and immediately he pulled back smiling saying 'what r u hiding?' Im still sure i wasnt acting any different to how i normally do but he knew something was up, even asked if coil was out (eek) to which i said no. The next 4 weeks r gonna be long!

Finnable · 27/11/2013 20:54

That's hilarious Mrs W - you're a quicker thinker than I! The day after I had my implant out, my Mum noticed the bandage and asked "Implant change? I certainly hope it's a change not a removal..."

Just the response I was hoping for, considering I'm married, 30, own own home etc... Sad

Littlebear88 · 27/11/2013 20:37

Mrs W- can't believe your mum was there!! Reminds me of when I bunked off school at 16 to go to doctors for contraceptive pill, and walked into waiting room to only see my mum there!!!! I had to make some terrible excuse I can't even remember now!!

Anyway AF got me today, but glad that it was 28 days exactly since withdrawl bleed! Roll on December!!! Glad we are in it together!!

I think I have started to use OPK sticks at the wrong time, but if I am lucky, I was thinking about holding out and testing Christmas Eve or Day. Not sure if I shall be able to wait that long though!

MrsW0931 · 27/11/2013 19:47

I have no idea when im due to ovulate, already poa ovulation stick lol. Negative. As expected. Oh well, il still spend every day of the next month convincing myself im pregnant. Lol

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 27/11/2013 19:41

I am off the bus Grin thank goodness! DH has just informed me he is away next week. My best guess at when I ovulate is Friday so think we will be busy this weekend. Anyone else planning to test around the 19th December? I'd love to wait til our anniversay on the 21st if AF hasn't arrived but don't know if I'll be able to.

Also is anyone being careful with food in the 2ww? My xmas party is slap on the 18th and I need to choose my menu options. if wasn't TTC it'd be goats cheese, rare roast beef followed by baileys dessert accompanied with red wine....obviously not the way to go this time though if there is a possibilty of being pg...

KittyVonCatsington · 27/11/2013 19:15

Gross! Get home quick to a nice cup of hot chocolate and comfy slippers. It's too cold out for idiots like that grrr!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 27/11/2013 19:01

Wow we can talk ladies, over 200 hundred posts! This has just hugely cheered me up, I am sitting reading on the bus while someone drunken guys pukes in a carrier bag and another one is smoking, great for my asthma Angry

KittyVonCatsington · 27/11/2013 17:59

Shock at your Mum in the waiting room, MrsW! Who'd have thought it!? Do you think you'll tell her when you announce your pregnancy, why you were really there?

Hope the next time I am at the Doctors is to say that I have a BFP [fingers crossed]

Popsicle30 · 27/11/2013 17:33

Very pleased it all went well MrsW and no cramps or anything at the moment. Some very exciting times ahead for you and HippyJess! I think it's great you got your coil and can present it as a gift to your DH. He must think he's a lucky boy at the moment with you being very up for it!

I think I'll let them keep my coil. My DH knows i'm getting it out so don't need it as a gift. I've not had any children so this will be our first ttc- very exciting! I was expecting it to hurt a lot when the coil was put in, especially with not having had a child. The GP gave a local anaesthetic and I didn't feel thing - was surprised when she told me it was all over. I'm hoping it'll be a similar experience when it comes out...fingers crossed!

Mind you I had light bleeding/spotting for 3-4 weeks after I had it inserted so hoping it doesn't do that when it is out. My period is due a couple of days after my appointment so hopefully that'll come on time and sort everything out!!!

Good luck everyone!

HippyJess · 27/11/2013 16:44

Ever so slightly yeah, but nothing noteworthy!

MrsW0931 · 27/11/2013 16:39

yes you never know you could already be pregnant! heres to thinking positive!

DH is going to wonder y im suddenly up for it every night now as usually its him trying it on and me being like 'god sake again!? really?' lol.

so far i havent had any cramps or anything since it was taken out. did you get any jess?

HippyJess · 27/11/2013 16:24

I only had the tiniest bit of spotting so you should be fine :) didn't know that about 5 days before - I ovulated on Friday I think and we DTD each day til Monday so theoretically AF could never arrive?? Won't get my hopes up though Grin

MrsW0931 · 27/11/2013 16:03

so now its count down for you popsicle! eek. Have you had any children yet?

Either way, they say its no where near as bad as it going in so you will be fine.

MrsW0931 · 27/11/2013 16:02

I know jesus i suddenly froze and just walked back out the reception door before she saw me. Composed myself then went in and pretended to be suprised. lol. Feel bad though as she completely fell for it.

I feel strange now, first day ever i will be DTD to actually try and get pregnant..doesnt feel right, normally pregnancies have been huge shocks and totally inconvenient things but this time i get to do it how its suposed to be done Grin

My coil is a bit gross, she washed it but theres still a bit of stringy stuff around the top of it. sorry TMI. Feel like such a minger actually storing this thing in my bag at work. wonder what it will look like in a months time?!

Made DH dtd last night (as you can concieve straight away if youve had sex in the last 5 days prior to the coil coming out) although he doesnt take a lot to persuade. lol. Hope i dont have too much of a bleed tonight as he will defo know somethings changed as i havent had a period for 2 years!

Popsicle30 · 27/11/2013 15:43

Fab news MrsW - glad it's finally out. 5 days till mine is out!

Can't believe your mother was in there Blush - but good swerve ball with the water infection complaint!

HippyJess · 27/11/2013 15:21

That's awesome MrsW, I told you it'd be fine :) now we can both get shagging and get on that BFP train ASAP Grin yay!
