Aww m33r you're so lovely answering my newbie questions - thank you. My opk first thing this morning was a definite negative but will try again in a bit and see what's happening. We are dtd every other day at the moment so fingers crossed we've got everything covered. I got all excited yesterday at the prospect of ov'ing as I've not had AF yet since coming off the pill almost 4 weeks ago, so I felt things were finally starting to work and this was our first real chance at ttc but maybe it isn't time yet? Was all excited expecting to be able to join the 2ww soon, but maybe not yet

Hi sara yep the opks can do that. Think about how concentrated the pee was and time of day and stuff. You should maybe also do them a couple of times a day. Not hugely convenient I know. I get that quite often and sometimes get what looks like a pos on IC then get a neg on diggie. It's not full proof. I don't suppose anything is. Just keep dtd-ing I think. Grapefruit and preseed shld help. Keep us posted on the opk sticks.

Thanks lovely, wasn't sure if like the pineapple it needs to be drunk at specific times. I like grapefruit juice and I struggle with cm hence me using preseed so I think I will give it a whirl. Was on the way to a +be opk yesterday but today it's showing up as -be which is a bit weird :-/

Hi sara I drink grapefruit to increase cm making dtd easier and helps the wee swimmers to get there ... I think! I just read it on this thread and thought 'why not?!' The extra cm. Could also be down to the dtd-ing... Anything wortha go I say but most ppl on here (like funky!says) it's just the luck of the draw but I'm playing the odds! :-)

*m33r8 - exactly, I too often feel cramps, have off days on food etc etc. Last month I SWORE I felt implantation and probably would have bet my house on it. Anyway ridiculous to guess as i didn't have any symptoms with ds. Nothing. In fact I was one of those lucky few that sailed through pregnancy without a hint of sickness, nausea, heartburn, tiredness or anything else anyone complains of! So I really don't know why I look for things this time round!
Glad the grapefruit juice has helped - I noticed a bit more, not loads though but think I started too late - will drink earlier if there is a next time. Getting used to the pineapple too - not so bad at all to eat! Oh and I think I'll give preseed a whirl next month too.

M33r, I'm using preseed too so fx. Can I ask about grapefruit juice...when do you drink it? Is it before ov?

Thanks lucy yes very frustrating but I just use opks all the time to keep me on top of it. And my luteal phase is regular so I don't waste hpts (well I do, but I know I'm doing it!! Know I'm not quite late when I do them!).

sazzle AF been gone for about a week and being dtd-ing like mad. The temping isn't really working out for me though - I had a huge peak yesterday but def negatives on opks but thinks its because I'm ill (bit coldly / flu-y) but sticking with it. Lots of extra cm - can't believe how much more but think that's the grapefruit juice a-working.... So, don't think I've ov-d yet but continue to dtd as much as I can. Also on the preseed so we'll see....

Good for you not symptom spotting. One day after AF this month I had LOADS of symptoms and as such have made a note to self for tww: I get cramps a lot; I iften feel nauseous; I am always tired; my bbs look bigger in different light! These do not make me pg! No more symptom spotting for me!!!!!

My bbt for the first time has been really high for me since ovulating, even my cheeks have been burning with the extra heat! However, I'm 12dpo and had a slight dip in bbt ths morning but still higher above cover line in comparison to last month. Did an IC POAS this morning, BFN.

AF due approximately Tuesday. If bbt temps drop again until then will probably know I'm out!

m33r i'm in the 2ww right now. About 3dpo. I peaked on my cbfm on day 16 which is about 2 days later than normal so I hope that isn't a problem with shortening my lp. I'm not sympton spotting this month - i did loads last month and it all amounted to nothing. I am eating pineapple, but have a busy working week ahead so hoping to distract myself until next week when I will test.

If your worried about wasting money POAS you can get 3 tests for 79p in home bargains! They don't have the plastic casing on them, just the strips but that's what I've been using!! Gonna go get a frer and digi today to confirm my faint line on the cheap one!

I'm definitely out and onto the December bus. AF arrived with full vengeance. When will I learn to stop wasting pregnancy tests before I'm late?

Feeling really despondent about it all this morning, looking at DD and seeing the age gap between her and a sibling growing. Even though it was technically cycle 2 it's been much longer than a few months as I had my first pre-conception meeting with the consultants / changed medication ready for TTC in May.

Another line this morning, darker line than yesterday on the IC but still faint! DH still in denial!

Still full of tonsillitis, no BFP, no AF but temp is right down this morning so AF probably on her way.

I've lost count of how many dpo I am. Have started getting shadowy lines on my tests so hopes are up but I've woken up with tonsillitis so think maybe the virus/fever might result in a BFN.
