Yep you have to keep it by your pillow, take it at the same time every day before you get up/move around. I take my temp at 6.30am, I have an alarm set for it.

Yes my OH would actually freak out if he knew what I talk about with you all on here, and the amount of money being spent on OPKs, preseed etc, on top of the sticks being tucked away in my drawer, bless him, it would be too much for him! I also think he would freak out having to perform under pressure...I haven't told him about the possible building up of ov, and not sure I will dilvulge my peak days to him at this early stage. But god help if I do get a positive result and he's not in the mood, I will just have to jump him!

I have been temping this month. I use the fertility friend app so that does all the calculating for me :-)

No, just this month!! We are very lucky!

Due date would be my birthday! 26th July!! I was planning a September baby for financial reasons (I'm a teacher so would get paid over hols if I had a sept baby) but you can't plan these things and my mother did warn me that we are quite fertile ladies in our family with a few earlier than planned conceptions!!

Right, well my cycles are all over the shop, I came off the pill in January 2013 and they've either been 30 days or 45 days!! This month though, using my app, I worked out that my cd1 was 9th October (first day of AF) I think I ovulated around cd21/22 dtd cd23 and cd24 and first BFP cd37 approx 14/15dpo!! I don't do temping or opks so not 100% sure of all dates!!

I had lightheadedness a few days after we dtd but I thought that might be linked to the pregnacare I'm taking (dunno if it agrees with me), but its since subsided. Very hormonal and emotions all over the place, boobs look slightly bigger and have had an itchy left nipple today, I've also had cramps today like period pains!

Trying not to get too excited as so much can go wrong in the early stages, just gonna keep calm and look after myself! We are holding off telling parents too for a few weeks, if I can last that long!

Have you worked out a due date yet Howly?

I've kept my used ov tests in my bedside drawer this month!! Haven't told dp.....infact he doesn't know I used them, I don't think they need to know everything! He's doesn't like to perform under pressure anyway

Got that faint line this morning, had period cramps all day but no AF, tested just now and got the BFP!! Crazy!!

Just not from concentrate juice; needs to be pure fresh I think. Not to be depressing but 12 minth's in it's no holds barred in our house. We're both so desperate so DH doesn't mind - just let's me get on with whatever we need to do. I think the less your DH knows in the early days the better though so def keep in a wee box. Get a nice one from Clinton's - go the whole nine yards! Hee hee!

Haha the things we do hey I've got myself all excited that ovulation is happening and although I'd be over the moon to fall pregnant in cycle 1 I'm just excited at the prospect of AF arriving proving that this body of mine is still in full working order!! I'm off out food shopping soon so going to pick up some grapefruit juice I think...is it any type of juice?

I keep mine for a couple of days. I also test twice a day with OPKs, once at about 10am and then again about 6pm after not drinking for 3 hours.

Ok so it seems I will be taking opks to work with me from here on in!! Thanks again. Is it gross to keep them to compare?! I've kept mine since Thursday (haven't kept them before that) mainly just to compare to see if the line is actually getting any darker and it's not my imagination lol

Yep, sara as imahinary says, they don't work with FMU. It helps if you've not been for three hours and don't drink too much. You want a concentrated sample. Have fun! ;-) and no problem answering questions ; I was so grateful when I was new so always try to help now I'm an old hand!

Funnily enough, I've just done another one and it has got a line, not dark enough to be +be yet I'd say but at least there's a line whereas this morning there wasn't any at all. Just re-read the instructions and it doesn't say don't use them in the morning? How odd? Thank goodness for this thread else I'd never have known that hshaha. Thanks imaginary

Sara the cheapy opks that I use say dont use them 1st thing, so I never use fmu for them. Yours look like they might be the same ones so maybe just try a bit later on and see what happens.
