TTC no 3? Anyone just started / about to start / about to start thinking about it?

I am absolutely not going to go nuts about it this time like I did for no 2. Because my kids have each other and won't be alone looking after their ancient parents in years to come. But a 3rd would be a bonus. And part of me doesn't care either way, and another part cannot wait for a lovely little snuggly new born. And part of me is enjoying getting my nights back, and my body, and is worried about the money, the lack of bedrooms, the need for a bigger car, having another miscarriage, or high risk pregnancy, a 3rd CS, a baby in intensive care. But then 5 months of no contraception and nothings happening..... The baby is 11 months, and we said we'd start putting more effort in once he is 1....

Anyone in the same boat? Want to hang out and worry / pretend not to worry?

That would be good... had a quick look in the september antenatal thread (or it might have been august...?) anyway they were discussing the best bubble baths for mothers to be... No such luxuries for us eh!

OrangeFizz99 · 06/01/2014 21:03

Yay bunny brilliant news, spotting must have been a hit scary though.

Is there a pg with no 3 ante natal thread yet?

BunnyBaby · 06/01/2014 20:32

Clara & Orange - congrats! Whoop whoop!

Just had an early scan today due to a few teeny spots of pink and blood, and have a very healthy baby in there, 7 weeks today, with a strong heartbeat :-)

Bonzo - how are you?

Love Bunny x

Winterbluessummersoonish · 06/01/2014 20:02

Congrats on BFP's amazing news,

Orange- I am so with you on high chairs and push chairs etc - we did proper bed at 18 months etc - I love the toddler bit but baby bit is hard - I also have 4.5 and 2.5...

I was expecting an amazon parcel all day with a first response test in and then about 4pm I checked and it was still in my shopping basket, I was :( as was aiming to test in the morning.

I have ordered a clear blue which will come tomorrow afternoon, it will be day 27 so will test then and again morning of 28...

Really hope it is a BFP as want 3 and had a MMC last year, but this is looking like a positive thread to be on...!

radiatormesh · 06/01/2014 18:09

I'm joining! Congrats on all the BFPs so far.

I have a 3.5yr old, a 10m old and we just started trying this cycle (although I'm still BF so my cycles are totally all over the shop and who knows if I even ovulated....). If I did, I reckon I'm about 2/3DPO, and am obviously already having symptoms Wink

Am trying hard not to obsess about it, but it's not going so well... Grin

OrangeFizz99 · 06/01/2014 15:21

*hear

OrangeFizz99 · 06/01/2014 15:20

Opposite here! I can here the 'poor dh, his world will be so pink, he'll need a shed etc' already. Yawn.

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 06/01/2014 13:43

I know - dreading those questions! With 2 DSs everyone will assume we're desperate for a girl.....

OrangeFizz99 · 06/01/2014 13:18

We're not telling anyone yet, will tell our parents in the next couple of weeks I guess. I reckon when you have two of one sex and are pg the 'girl or boy' gender pressure is going to be mental. Grr.

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 06/01/2014 11:35

Uncommital? You know what I mean.... we told the couple we were staying with over new year as they are really good friends and we didn't want any awkward questions. Except my friend's DP just didn't get it and kept asking questions like when are you going on maternity leave? Shock And despite the fact DP really obviously didn't want to talk about it - so are you hoping for a girl or boy? Just what you don't want. So now we're home we very definitely aren't telling anyone else and it feels nice that it's a secret again.

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 06/01/2014 11:31

Wow - even more Congrats due! It's the thread to be on. Excellent news Clara and Orange.
Not so tired at the moment but fairly short of breath and racing heart. Palpitations is my thing Grin Also feeling the reduced caffeine intake and going to have to hide all the christmas chocs - I had gestational diabetes last time so want to avoid too much sugar.
Other than that.. feeling fairly nervous and uncommital, keep googling statistics. Fingers crossed for everyone.

OrangeFizz99 · 06/01/2014 10:21

Have you told dh clara?

Congrats by the way!

I had another slightly less faint line this am in the proper timeframe so I guess a line is a line... DH seems slightly shellshocked! Did say a ds would be nice though!

It is weird to be back to this again, my girls will be 4.5 and 2.5 if all goes well and this baby arrives in Sept. I hate pushchairs, highchairs etc and the nearly two year old doesn't use any of those now... Oh, and the sleep...!

clara85 · 06/01/2014 10:02

thats true and why we wanted small gaps, I think i found a 15 month gap easy in alot of ways as ds1 was still a baby and had only started walking 3 weeks before ds2 was born ..... but now ds1 and 2 are proper toddlers it seems like a different thing altogether!

when are you going to see the dr / mw? I think last time i went at about 5 weeks to make sure scan booked in time etc but again it just feels so weird to be thinking pregnancy dates and times again!!

Girlsville · 06/01/2014 09:42

I know the feeling! My dds are just playing so nicely together and am trying to picture what it will be like with the third!
But dh and I have always wanted 3 and thought it was better to get allthe early years out the way while we are in the mindset. Think much harder to go back to a newborn if you have much older children.

clara85 · 06/01/2014 07:27

Me nether girls ville... its the sleepless nights, carrying car seats, being carried everywhere, I would want a new double pram as both ds's still use a pram now to keep them contained while out shopping...

I am honestly worrying ive made a mistake and how will we cope with this when things are so much easier now :S

Girlsville · 05/01/2014 22:28

Congrats Clara! I can't begin to imagine what life with three will be like......

clara85 · 05/01/2014 21:04

i have had cramping all day and felt very emotional the other day although thought i was ony 10dpo today so too early for syptoms :S

the thought of having a 3.9 year old, 2.5 year old and baby is surreal !!!

clara85 · 05/01/2014 21:01

OMG.....what is going on in this thread? i am very nervously saying i got a bfp tonight and too scared to tell dh even tho he saw me buy the tests .................... due date would be 20th sept but i would have my section at 39 weeks same as last tie i assime... i am in shock and cant believe theres so many of us having bfp's this week?!

OrangeFizz99 · 05/01/2014 15:15

I might be the same have! Faint bfp this am, should it stick around I'd be due 18.09. I get induced at 38 weeks as have a blood disorder so we'd have very simular edd.

How are your symptoms?

V quiet here at the moment!

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 01/01/2014 18:19

Just checked -8th sep. Was sure it would be a late aug bday so that's good news I guess! Though with elcs and ds1 came at 38 weeks so will need to be carefully timed!
Dp was fine..... calm. Though he is far from himself! Wewere ao busy lleaving the house yesterday morning it only sunk in half way along the m4.
Well, am 4+2 or something like that. Already had my first daytime nap and just tasted the boys pasta and pesto - it tasted so awful, like paraffin or something, sobitter and still got the taste in my mouth (3 adults all tasted and said was fine) so..... early start to symptoms....

Girlsville · 01/01/2014 13:05

I think due date is 12 September. Eek! We have a 15 month age gap between dd1 and 2 and are in a really nice stage now. Dh is pleased but a bit nervous as to how it will affect things!

clara85 · 31/12/2013 21:39

congras gurksville and have you :) great start to the new year ! when is your due date? how did your dh take the news?! xx

OrangeFizz99 · 31/12/2013 10:02

Wow congrats everyone with bfps! Brilliant news!

Happy new year to everyone - pretty sure I'll be snoring away well before midnight!

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 31/12/2013 07:01

BFP! Eeek!!! I really can't believe it...

Poor dp...... he's going to be going pale again. We did agree to try but only on the basis it would take months. We DTD once
. It's his birthday this morning. .... oh god.
Still sleeping like a baby next me with ds2.
My phone is buggering about with mumsnet and we're off on holiday for a few days so good luck to anyone else at the end of their cycle..... and happy new year, may the end if 2014 see lots more babies.

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 31/12/2013 00:08

Welcome and congrats Girlsville!

Am really nervous about poas tomorrow. .... af was due today. Told dp I was going to and he paled! Said it was just precaution before tomorrow night......
