Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

So so sorry to hear this funk. What lady and happy said. Lots of supportive ladies here.

Talking of which thanks for the good wishes for tomorrow berries.

happylass · 17/12/2013 20:29

Oh no funky. I'm so very sorry. Take care and, as always, we are here when you need us Thanks

Funky what horrible news for you just before Christmas, I hope you've got plenty of support. Sending virtual flowers and lots of wine (on phone so can't do pictures).

funkymonk · 17/12/2013 19:48

Hi ladies. I've not caught up on news yet. Will return at a later date. Just wanted to say I am back after sad news today. Went for a follow up scan at 8+1 following last weeks scan (where we saw a little heart beat) and very sadly the heart has stopped. Next step for us is to decide what's next (surgery vs. medical management).

FeatherFeather11 · 17/12/2013 16:18

Thanks for the kind words ladies. I'm ok today - feeling positive! Had a very interesting first acupuncture meeting. No needles today, just a thorough chat. She's asked me to start temping (been putting it off for two years!) and to email her my temps for the next three mornings at 7am on Friday. She'll take a look and then tell me whether to come in that morning or not, her reasoning being that she wants to 'induce a bleed', but wants to be 100% sure I'm not pregnant (yeah, right!) - she's also asked me to do a pregnancy test that morning too. She's also suggested asking for a hysco (?) instead of hsg - does anyone know what that is?

aquarius hope all goes super smooth tomorrow. Let us know how you get on.

mrswalker thank you. "Festive track marks" made me lol!

sid thanks, but I'm ok now - you know how it is when the blues descend and then they pass. Hoping Xmas day is ok. I plan to drink a lot of bubbles from as early as possible.

How is everyone?

SidneyBristow · 17/12/2013 15:06

OMG I am so sorry feather, I completely overlooked your post about your colleague and your scan date. I am so sorry. Please take care of yourself x Thanks

mrswalker13 · 17/12/2013 13:58

Aquarius all good wishes for tomorrow. Fingers crossed for quick recovery.

Barking hope you're feeling better & concert goes well tonight & tomorrow.

Feather remember to be kind to yourself - it would be a difficult day anyway but being Christmas won't help.

My festive track marks are coming on a treat! Two more working days though... must keep going...

SidneyBristow · 17/12/2013 10:23

Aquarius good luck for tomorrow; it'll be over before you know it and you'll feel good as new soon - I've never had a lap but I found the hysteroscopy was slightly painful but most of the soreness was gone by the end of the week (had it on a Tues). Will be thinking of you tomorrow & sending you good vibes Thanks

lady congrats on your win!

feather good luck today at the acupuncturist's, let us know how it goes, might be trying that in the next month or two myself!

hi to everyone else, mad rush here today getting ready to leave for the holidays! Xmas Smile

Aquarius1 · 16/12/2013 23:44

Thanks so much everyone. All very helpful suggestions.

Yay Happy that's good news. Hope you get a nice consultant.

My op is a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy and I think d&c but not sure- all happened fairly quickly. Went to FC end of Nov and got referred for this nearly straight away. Scary but good.

Bunnygirlie · 16/12/2013 22:36

aquarius another thing to take for the journey home is a pillow, put it on your tummy and put seatbelt over it! Break a leg, hope all goes well Flowers

happy yay to FC appt but grrrrr to pg announcements!

barking are you feeling better now? Hope concert goes well!

Oh feather that's rotten Sad

Hello everyone else!

BoodleDoo · 16/12/2013 22:18

Wink I don't know if me falling asleep would be very good for his ego!!! I'm still amazed that we've hit cycle 30 and (touch wood) we've had no... performance issues!

barkingtreefrog · 16/12/2013 21:57

boodle you don't have to be a morning person as long as your DH is, your side of things doesn't need to be awake so much Wink .

Grin Grin

BoodleDoo · 16/12/2013 21:46

Barking, oh my word, morning sex?! On a Monday?! On a school day?! Very unlikely to happen with me...I can barely brush my hair and dress myself properly in the morning...! (I did put my jumper on inside out this morning...)

Lady! Well done for your win! Grin I considered posting and then realised I had a drawer full of fertility lube already...!

barkingtreefrog · 16/12/2013 19:57

happy the concert is tomorrow and Wednesday. To be honest what will be will be, I am way past caring..... Hmm Spent the weekend feeling ill again, slept on the sofa all day yesterday and DP said if I ever take on extra stuff at work again he'll leave me as I'm just making myself ill but I keep saying yes to more stuff....
Having read the bit in the book talking about overworking and not enough relaxing time being a problem with fertility I can sort of see his point.

feather I think mine will also probably be mainly the medical history chat, but I'm hoping she will give me hope! Grin

lady woohoo for more pricking! Wink .

happylass · 16/12/2013 19:34

Well done on your win lady!!
Loving the positivity Barking. You'll be re-laying that Yellow Brick Road in no time! How's your concert coming along btw?
Have a hug and some Thanks Feather. Must be so difficult seeing others reaching what should be your milestones. Thanks for cheering on my FC appt - I have been waiting 3 months since the last one so its long overdue!
Been hit with 2 FB pg announcements since I got in, on top of DP's ex-wife's news. Why is it some days you get clobbered from all angles!

ladybunnikins · 16/12/2013 19:31

Feather I hope you've got something nice and relaxing planned for Christmas to take your mind off it.

I've also decided to try acupuncture, the lady I've contacted seems to have a Christmas rush on though so I'll be going in January.

Aquarius hope the op goes OK, agree with the recommendations above although in our day case unit dressing gowns and slipper sox are provided.

FeatherFeather11 · 16/12/2013 19:17

That's great news, lady! Grin

barking great to hear you are in a better place and headed towards the world of positivity! I've got my acupuncture appointment tomorrow and hoping that she can help get my cycle back on track - have a feeling tomorrow will just be a talk through my history though and not actual needles.

aquarius hope all goes well on Wednesday. Wet wipes and hand sanitiser are things I always pack for hospital visits!

happy brill news about the FC appointment! Yay!

In other news, pregnant colleague told me that her 12 week scan is on Friday. My 12 weeks should have been on Xmas day. Trying to not let it sadden me. Trying!

ladybunnikins · 16/12/2013 19:08

I had some good news today when I got home, I posted on a mumsnet sponsered thread and I've won some fertility friendly lube Xmas Grin

barkingtreefrog · 16/12/2013 18:19

Been awol all wkd due to lurgy Angry . Need to catch up....

Boodle if you can dtd 48 hrs before the appointment (or if that's in the middle of a school day maybe in the morning rather than while you're in the classroom) and then dtd as soon as is practical after the appointment you should still be able to hit the target as it were. e.g. dtd monday morning, abstain for 48 hours, appointment is on Wednesday, dtd wednesday evening. Bingo - still ticking off EOD best practise Grin .

feather well done for just entering the shop at all! I struggle just walking down the baby isle in the supermarket! Shock
Totally sympathise with AF not arriving, other than my provera induced 'withdrawal bleed' I've not actually had AF since July!! unless you count two random days of spotting 8 days apart.

birdy no chance of a Christmas bfp here I'm afraid, not convinced AF actually arrived and even if the clomid that I took at the right time actually makes me ovulate this month FF predicts it won't happen until Christmas Day (and I'm not even spending Christmas with DP so the best we could do is dtd 3 days before!!) Shock

rp sorry the old hag got you. Sad

happy that's a horrible slap in the face Angry .

I've been reading 'The Baby Making Bible' by Emma Cannon and I'm trying the positive thinking and the visualisation. I do agree that the mind is a very powerful thing and if you repeatedly tell yourself something won't happen you're actually making it less likely. I'm hoping the acupuncture on Wednesday will help convince me that I can get my cycles back. When I can start seeing that possibility I think everything else will simply slot into place Grin .

RevoltingPeasant · 16/12/2013 18:19

Good for you happy :)

happylass · 16/12/2013 16:48

Evening all. Good luck for your op Aquarius, is it TTC related? Sorry if you've already said. My memory isn't what it used to be!!
DP bumped in to his ex today, who told him she's 4 months pg. He is slightly Angry to say the least. I'm guessing those kind of pg announcements are the worst!?
On a positive note we finally get to see the consultant at the FC this week. Hurrah!

Aquarius1 · 16/12/2013 14:25

Ooh good call on both counts - would'nt've thought of slippers or headphones - thanks you two.

Gillster · 16/12/2013 13:57

Aquarius I was told to pack pyjamas and slippers and basic toiletries. I didn't need them but it was more of a just in case measure. In terms of slippers I took my Birkenstocks to walk to the theatre in. Make sure you have plenty of reading material as you could be waiting a while if you're not the first op on the list. Good luck!

CatsCantFlyFast · 16/12/2013 13:14

Aquarius I always take headphones/music to hospital. I have been on wards with ill people when waiting for ops and I am grateful to be able to block out the noise

Aquarius1 · 16/12/2013 11:30

Hello all. Also fell of my list like Merk.

Hear hear Bunny - 2014 will surely be our year. Sorry to read about tough times people are having. I'm lucky enough not to have seen any bumps or bfp announcements for a looong time. Hoping there won't be any in my ward for my Op Hmm

Talking of which, what would any of you seasoned hospital go-ers recommend I take to hospital with me for my op this wk? It's on Weds. Just a day-case, so dont need a lot. So far I have: loose trousers, glamour mag, mobile phone, sanitary appliances. Oh and my mum. Smile ??
