Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

So we've been approved for IVF! All the blood tests were good as well as DH's SA. They are more concerned about me overstimming so will be keeping a close eye on that. We'll be doing the short protocol. They want to wait ~3 months after my fibroid removal op (20th nov) so looks like I'll be starting treatment in Feb. given I am 40 in March I will get priority for treatment. It turns out that we're only entitle to one round on the NHS so I don't feel like we'd be missing out once I turn 40 (IYSWIM). If they're able to get some good embryos but are unable to put them back in for whatever reason they they go on the freezer and I still qualify for treatment until they are all used up.

ladybunnikins · 05/11/2013 09:47

sorry about that, on my phone!

ladybunnikins · 05/11/2013 09:46

Hope it goes well Gil. RP you've ovulated but FF likes to see 3 raised temps before it puts red cross hairs.

Hi mrs, wow - defo Smile for AF! Glad the move went well and good for you re MiL!

mrswalker13 · 05/11/2013 09:33

Not long now lady how exciting!

Hope all goes well gil

Barking I'd skip tonight. You're getting there and taking big steps IMO - keep on at your own pace.

Because I was also thinking about festive drinking as a compensation for no BFP... Love a mulled cider (or six) at the Christmas market in Edinburgh with DH so focus on that.

News from here: have told MiL about PCOS and difficulties getting BFP. She was brilliant and I feel pressure off. House move all went smoothly - only one broken glass. And in the midst of it, after c.120 days, AF arrived Smile Can't recall ever being Smile about that before but this time means more accurate blood tests and therefore another step to getting me in working order...

BlueBirdy · 05/11/2013 09:23

Good luck Lady and Gill for today, and Barking for tomorrow! I put off seeing my pg friend for so long that her baby was 3 months before i plucked up the nerve. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but I did cry lots afterwards (but also felt better, if that makes sense).

RP my chart was this same this last cycle, but with a gradual climb, i think I had guessed at an OV date, but after 3 days of higher than usual temps there was a pop up msg from FF saying that it was basically overriding my OV date and changed it to the day before I had put. Hmm
My guess would also be that OV was Sunday, FF will prop mark it up after tomorrows reading. Do you know why that day is an open circle?

Bunny, hope all in all you had a great holiday!

Bunnygirlie · 05/11/2013 08:58

Break a leg lady! I just knew we'd have some bfps whilst I was on holiday!

barking I would have gone with self preservation as I'm a wuss in general. Good on you for texting your friend, tomorrow wil be tough but we'll be here if you need us x

gil hope your appt goes well!!!

RevoltingPeasant · 05/11/2013 08:55

Oh, Lady - does that mean they will tell you for sure? (Sorry, don't know how these things work.) Heart in mouth and fingers crossed!

Much more mundanely.... I think I OV on Sunday because I had 2x positive OPK days over Fri and Sat (am and pm both), and then on Monday morning my temps went up to 36.68 and they are normally in the 36.6s or 36.70 post-OV. However there is no obvious drop and FF obviously thinks I haven't OV yet?

Could someone cleverer than me take a look and see what you think?? FertilityFriend.com/home/47fae3/

tia!!! Thanks

Gillster · 05/11/2013 08:01

Our FC appointment is also at 10am. Bit nervous as they go through all the tests we had a couple of months ago and decide on a plan of action. Will keep you posted.

Sounds like some good decision making to me Barking.

Hope all goes well Lady.

FeatherFeather11 · 05/11/2013 07:54

Good luck today lady! Will be thinking of you. Flowers

ladybunnikins · 05/11/2013 07:41

Kitty I'm awake and I've PIMPed for the hospital but my appt isn't until 10am and they'll phone with the beta result in the afternoon. I did dip an IC in it and I can see the line clearly now. I did another digi last night that still only showed 1-2 weeks but I'm resisting the urge to go and waste more money on another digi. Got 2 Frers arriving from amazon in the next few days.

BlindKitty · 05/11/2013 07:08

barking that's still a great move. Agree, fireworks are boring anyway!

maybe she's forgotten it's otd Wink

barkingtreefrog · 05/11/2013 07:06

I've plucked up the courage to text the friend who had twins the night before my 2nd scan that confirmed it was all over. I'm going round to visit on my day off tomorrow. In view of that, I think I'm more likely to give tonight a miss if I'm remotely wobbly about it as I don't want the potential of a bad night before I have to be brave tomorrow.

BlindKitty · 05/11/2013 07:00

barking I'm inclined to agree with foody if I'm honest. The unknown always seems so much worse than it is and I think you're brave enough now. You've cone such a long way. Don't let this stop you from continuing to move on

barkingtreefrog · 04/11/2013 23:01

Foody you just looked inside my head didn't you? That's exactly what I was thinking! Shock

Kuma thank you for making me not feel like a coward Smile . A few xmas drinks and a good ski holiday sound like a perfect consolation for a new year bfp rather than a xmas one Grin .

Because I just googled SMEP as well! Might have to give that a go in December. Not sure I can face it this month (not that AF has arrived yet, but don't finish the Provera until Friday).

IamKuma · 04/11/2013 22:44

barking sounds like sensible self preservation to me. You are obviously making progress, so there is no need to push yourself into social situations you will feel unhappy with. Put the sausage away this time Grin

because SMEP! I had to Google that one.... I can't be bothered with any of the palaver this month, will just DTD when we feel like it and just wait for the FC appointment at the end of the month and see what they say. Somehow a boozy christmas period and a worry free ski trip seem like an attractive option right now.

Foodylicious · 04/11/2013 22:43

RP can you go for a morning quickie or do the meds take a bit too long to work?
barking well done you! (said in non patronising manor). But re bonfire party I would see how you feel tomorrow, one thing at a time. Maybe rational self preservation, but don;t ket the anxiety of it being awful be worse than it might actually be?
I think you will know what you want to deal with tomorrow. sure it would be nice to see your other friends, but don't go if you think it will put you on a downer, you just dont need it.
Sorry not very helpful!

barkingtreefrog · 04/11/2013 22:35

Hmph. Did really well at work today. Actually spoke to bumped colleague instead of running away when I saw her coming, and didn't burst into tears when she started talking about the pram they've bought. Very proud of myself Smile .

However, the bonfire party everyone is going to tomorrow includes Mrs same-bump-as-I-should-have-now and I'm chickening out. Suddenly not so bothered about fireworks even though other mates I haven't seen for a few weeks will be there. Rational self preservation or deserved of a sausage wang? Hmm

Bunnygirlie · 04/11/2013 21:32

But prof merk you know everything lol

BecauseIsaidS0 · 04/11/2013 20:05

Not much to report here, CD18 but I'm certain I didn't ovulate this cycle (I always get cramps) also failed to do smep due to us being in different places two days after the OPK+.

Consoling myself that ah well, at least it looks like I will get to enjoy the festivities wine.

BlindKitty · 04/11/2013 20:05

birdie if its the same as what dr Chris said last year it was a load of bollocks anyway! Half the stuff he said wasn't especially evidence based and the other half we already knew anyway!

rp if ed is difficult I wouldn't worry. Most fc's suggest eod anyway.

RevoltingPeasant · 04/11/2013 19:36

Feather & Birdy (ha!) not sure about tonight as DH erectile dysfunction makes sex on consecutive nights hard. We might need to forego. He can get sick if he puts too much pressure on himself (inflammation in bad places). Will ask though!

CatsCantFlyFast · 04/11/2013 19:28

What is a sperm freeze??
