Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

Welcome Tiger!

Well done on coping with the nightmare party situation Barking.

Well it's CD30 here and I'm pretty sure I haven't OV'd yet. The fibroid op happened on CD15 and I would usually expect to OV around CD19 but did expect to OV late although not this late. On the plus side it should mean that my hols on Boxing Day should be AF free.

Just spent the last few days getting round the family. Just me and DH tomorrow which will be weird but nice.

Good luck with the stabbing Bunny, you'll be doing the trail blazing for the new IVF'ers.

Have a Merry Berry Christmas everyone!

Aquarius1 · 24/12/2013 20:43

Oops posted too soon - Irish Mil welcomed us with lots of fizz which I might have drunk a bit too quickly...

Aquarius1 · 24/12/2013 20:42

Happy Christmas all the Berries& here's to a fabulous 2014 xxx

Much better thanks bunny - just sore where the stitches are and cant laugh / cough too hard but and now using it as excuse to get dh to carry suitcase off plane)

BlueBirdy · 24/12/2013 20:20

Thanks Boo Grin

Sorry Bunny - I meant Lady re the reflexology! doh, should have checked...

Bunnygirlie · 24/12/2013 19:25

It's Christmas Eve!!! finished work at half 12 today so all ready to go now! Xmas Grin WineXmas Grin

Puppy thanks! How are you?

Barking what a freaking nightmare wedding! I think I would have cried.

Welcome Tiger sorry you've had to join us at all but the berries are a good bunch Xmas Smile

Ref needles and foot rubs, I love reflexology, helps me relax and have helped regulate my periods. My lady also recommends acu to run inline with reflex for ivf so if this one doesn't work I will try it for the next one!

Aquarius how you feeling after your op? I found it helped with period pains and spotting

Wishing you a very Berry Merry Christmas! Here's hoping for a BFP filled 2014!!!!! x

BoodleDoo · 24/12/2013 18:56

Cute doggies, Blue!

BlueBirdy · 24/12/2013 16:37

I've uploaded a picture of my festive pooches, if anyone is interested in having a look Grin I'm pretty sure I'm going to be THAT woman who bores other people with endless pictures of the kids Hmm

BlueBirdy · 24/12/2013 16:28

Hi all!

Barking your evening does sound like a berry's worst nightmare!

Tiger hello and welcome! Good that your results so far are normal, and good to here positive reviews on acu!

I think I'm with Bunny as far as the reflexology is concerned - I once went wild and had a pedicure and on numerous occasions almost kicked the woman in the face!

Well all set for Christmas here - the dogs have way more presents than us as per usual (and that's not even including the ones they opened early) (my husband and I were upstairs and were like 'what's that shredding noise??'). Hope every one has a lovely festive period!!

BoodleDoo · 24/12/2013 14:41

Will do, Aquarius, although I'm not sure I'll do it still as I HATE my legs and getting them out in front of a stranger mortifies me to my core!

Aquarius1 · 24/12/2013 11:30

Hi boodle Grin if you do try the acupuncture please report back. The mini reflexology with it sounds good- i had a few reflexology sessions a few months ago and found it V relaxing. Although it might have just been having the opportunity to lie down in a dark room for an hour. If my op hasn't treated awful period pains I think I'll be inclined to give acupuncture a go too...

BoodleDoo · 24/12/2013 11:10

Crikey, Barking, I don't know how you do it - not sure I could have stuck it out at the wedding.

Welcome Tiger and Saz too as I missed your post during my period of absence.

I'm starting to think about trying acupuncture again. Have found one just up the road who does it with a mini reflexology session at the end - can't hurt I guess?

Just waiting for AF now; first non-clomid cycle in 5 months. Temps suggest I ovulated cd14, which was a day or 2 earlier than I used to. Now waiting to see if there has been any impact on my LP. I think that would be too much to hope for, even at Christmas.

Aquarius1 · 24/12/2013 10:41

Hi tiger - crossed posts with you earlier- ooh warming your cider on a wood burner - that's proper Christmassy is that. Enjoy Grin

barkingtreefrog · 24/12/2013 09:52

Welcome tiger!! Grin
Very interested to hear another positive story about acupuncture, especially the good skin as I have had horrible spots since coming off the pill. If you've been following this thread you've probably read about my acupuncture experience so far!!

Aqua, yep, "enjoy the present" is my new mantra Grin Grin .

Aquarius1 · 24/12/2013 09:27

aaargh barking - how pants- well done for keeping your head up. Must've felt like a big old slap in the face Sad The "live in the present" message is going to be a mantra isn't it. I had a christening earlier in the year where we were the only couple without kids or bumps and v nearly did run out. Also had a wedding where we were the only non pg couple on table- seem to recall taking advantage of the excess wine... Yep 2014 will be the year for living in the present or at least making an earnest attempt at it

tigerdog · 24/12/2013 09:26

Hi berries, I wonder if I could join you all?

I need a place to hide out with some like minded folk. I have been following this thread, and you seem like a lovely bunch. I'm 33 and we have been ttc for 11 months, no sign of a baby. AF arrived this morning so no Christmas miracle either.

Almost all of my closest friends are pregnant or have just had babies so there is no getting away from it all at the moment. For the past week I have even had vivid dreams about babies every single night so there is no escape even when asleep!

We have our first NHS FC appointment in January, and so far the preliminary tests (day3/21 and SA) have all come back normal. Planning on drowning my sorrows over Christmas with a fair few festive drinks (there will be spiced cider warming on the woodburner this evening!) followed by getting back into healthy mode in January.

I've also been having acupuncture , which I have found to have lots of benefits - great skin, less painful periods, no headaches, and I feel much more relaxed generally.

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely Christmas, and don't mind me dropping by

x

Just got back from a Berry's worst nightmare Shock Shock .

Wedding celebration (couple who now live abroad got married this summer so had a UK party while they were home over Christmas for those who didn't make it).

  1. First up it's DP's mate not mine. I've met him once. DP has met his new wife once. Neither of us knew anyone else there because the two other friends invited he would have known are both staying home for Christmas as they have a baby due. Envy
  1. It's a baby and bump bonanza. Lots of cooing over babies. 3 obviously pg women. The summer bride now has a small neat bump. Obviously diffed within 2 months of the wedding Angry . Envy .
  1. Sat next to baby on my right, and DP sat next to bump on his left. Blush
  1. Topics of conversation on our table include 'what age did you stop breastfeeding?' - 'Isn't it cool that 3 of us are all going to be first time dad's within 4 months of each other' - 'since being pg I've....' Confused Confused
  1. Talking to DP's mate about houses, having visited a mutual friend yesterday who has just moved into a new house with his fiance, we were saying how we loved our house and didn't want to move. 'Well you always think your house will be fine for when you have kids until you actually have one on the way'. Hmm. Angry Was so tempted to say 'well actually we did have a kid on the way' but didn't think it an appropriate conversation for his wedding party.... Hmm

I'm amazed that I got through it without needing to run to the toilet in tears! Keep thinking of the 'live in the present and enjoy every day' message, no point regretting what is past or lost plans you had for the future. Life will happen, best to enjoy it as much as possible Grin .

FeatherFeather11 · 23/12/2013 15:24

*our not out, obvs!

FeatherFeather11 · 23/12/2013 15:20

Just finished work and off to the MiL's first thing tomorrow. Shopping and wrapping all done, just need to pack it all now! Hoorah.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and that 2014 is the year we all get out bfp's. I've got a good feeling about it!

BoodleDoo · 23/12/2013 14:17

Did somebody say warm cider?! Now that's how to draw me back onto the thread!!!

How is everyone? All ready for Xmas I hope? We weren't at all due to husband being AWOL for most of December! However, following a mad rush of a weekend, I think I'm almost there.

PuppyMummy · 23/12/2013 11:33

Hi everyone. just wanted to say have a good Christmas and wish everyone well and good luck for bfps in the New Yr. know a lot r starting ivf so I will keep everything crossed for you all.

Plenty of room in the copter when ur all ready!

Saznut · 23/12/2013 10:48

.

barkingtreefrog · 23/12/2013 08:37

Bunny on the bright side it would be cool when you get your bfp to think it all started on Christmas day Grin .

^^

CD 19 here (going on when I spotted and started the clomid) but no +opk yet. Not sure whether I will ovulate or not with the clomid having not actually had an AF but I'm off to my parents' for xmas tomorrow morning so won't see DP again until CD22. I've never ovulated later than that. Not feeling particularly optimistic about this non cycle!!

Aquarius1 · 22/12/2013 22:38

good plan bunny Xmas Smile

Mmmm warm cider.... with hot mince pies.... I'm definitely getting my appetite back now Grin

Sorry 'bout your cramps & do hope you're curled up comfortably with a hot water bottle. Fx it's not early af.

Hope everyone's had a nice w/e

Bunnygirlie · 22/12/2013 19:20

Nice list Xmas Wink

How is everyone?

I had awful tummy cramps earlier, hope AF doesn't come early, can't bear the thought of jabbing Christmas day Xmas Shock
