Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

Oh happy that does not make for a comfortable staff room. I can't help but feel sorry for their naivety though, doubt they will all find it as easy as they think! We all know what planning did... bugger all!

happylass · 11/11/2013 16:36

Ugh. Way too much baby talk in the staff room today. Our school is due to be inspected in just over a year so it seems that every female member of staff of child bearing age is planning to get upduffed shortly so as to avoid it. One even took her last pill yesterday. Looks like I'm destined to be surrounded by bumps for the next year. Oh what it must be like to have the luxury of planning exactly when you're going to get pg Sad

Yikes, Sid, that's cutting it fine - hope if you do miss the appt that it is for the right reason!

Pip, that woman sounds like such a snobby cow! Isn't reiki supposed to be all about 'good energy' and stuff? Ha, that speaks volumes then. Lyme Regis is just up the way from us - I promise to glare at her if we ever drive past her shop!

I just got an e-mail back from ITV (I wanted to watch that bit on This Morning which was mysteriously cut from the programme, damn it! - so I complained inquired about it) They stated that it was 'removed due to compliance reasons'. Well, I'm still non the wiser, but thought I'd update you berries anyway.

Pip, Because I would also say that I am not one for hippy alternative therapies, but I did read a German study the other day about how acupuncture improved the success rate of IVF when preformed just before collecting the eggs and just after putting them back in. There is an acupuncturing lady who actualy comes to the particular hospital where we'll be treated and does her thing right before/after the treatments. Sounds interesting, so think I'll be investigating that side of things a bit more...

Well, my temp crashed this morning and AF has arrived. Our FC appt is Friday - I wonder if it would be too late to start any sort of treatment straight away for this cycle? I'm sure that if I told them that I need a baby soon that they would comply!

SidneyBristow · 11/11/2013 10:46

Pip that woman is brainless; it always amazes me when someone tries to score points on a stranger on the internet and uses their real name linked to their business....she could easily have said something supportive or neutral but chose to go with a put-down - what a moron. each to their own & all but I wouldn't think the best place to diagnose a perfect stranger's fertility woes would be twitter...

9dpo for me here and have just set my polypectomy appointment for the 19th. Fingers tightly crossed that if AF does show, she doesn't show late, as the consultant is out for 2 weeks starting the day after my procedure - so if I'm still bleeding by then and it has to be reset, it won't be done til Dec Confused

BlindKitty · 10/11/2013 21:55

pip because I had accupuncture the cycle I had iui. Obviously I'll never know whether it really helped but I found her to be so comforting and reassuring. She was the breath if fresh air I needed although perhaps doing the job that the fc nurses should have been doing. For my next pregnancy I will definitely use her again.

BlindKitty · 10/11/2013 21:18

Because I wish I still had a link to the days before my bfp. I seriously ate my words!!!!

BecauseIsaidS0 · 10/11/2013 20:00

Ah RP, you are right...the boobs feel really hard rather than just painful and I had some bright red spotting on DPO 7...but I don't want to get my hopes up!

RevoltingPeasant · 10/11/2013 19:56

Aw because, have a Brew and an early night.

Also you don't know it is PBS!

RevoltingPeasant · 10/11/2013 19:55

Oh God it is Christmas next month, isn't it?

BecauseIsaidS0 · 10/11/2013 19:38

Knocked out by a cold and with terrible PMS...and I haven't started my Xmas shopping yet!

Bunnygirlie · 10/11/2013 19:33

What a hagbag pip

Good weekend peeps?

Pipbin · 10/11/2013 18:07

Exactly Because if it helps you or gives you comfort then there is no crime in it. But I think we need to understand that some people don't believe. What she was was like saying to me that it's because I don't go to church or something.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 10/11/2013 16:45

Ouch, pipbin! That's a daft thing of her to say.

To each their own - I credit acupuncture with helping me regulate my cycles, which used to be all over the place but have now been steady at 31/32 days. But I'm happy to accept that not everyone believes in it. As long as it helps me, even if it is placebo effect, I don't mind! Smile

ladybunnikins · 10/11/2013 16:11

Shame we can't dislike her page!

Pipbin · 10/11/2013 16:02

Because's post reminds me.

Radio 4' Woman's Hour tweeted the other day 'should people be offered counselling after failed IVF'. I replied that we were offered it after our failed session. A couple of days later a woman tweeted me and asked if I had tried acupuncture or reiki. I replied 'thank you for the suggestion but I'm not an alternative therapy kind of girl'. I'm not, I know a lot of people swear by it but I'm more about science. She then replied saying 'well that says it all!!'.
So this bitch has inferred that the reason I'm not pg is that I don't believe in acupuncture!
Silly thing is though that she tweets in her real name including the name of her business.
Here she is: www.facebook.com/pages/Reiki-Lyme-Regis/325542600897164

BecauseIsaidS0 · 10/11/2013 15:00

Ah, but I saw my wonderful acupuncturist today and she thinks my body is getting ready for AF.

I'm not very good at this (being patient and hopeful).

BlindKitty · 10/11/2013 12:55

Because I wish I still had a link to the days before my bfp. I seriously ate my words!!!!

BlueBirdy · 10/11/2013 11:31

But herby food sounds delicious! Grin Thanks Kitty, will start cracking the whip! Because I am the same, except now when I get my hopes up I keep telling myself that I'm being silly, just to even things out.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 10/11/2013 11:10

Ha ha red witch, you all make me smile. I guess I spent the first three months of TTC symptom spotting so badly that every cycle I convinced myself I was preggers, and now I've swung the other way. But this month I've been having some wine and I will be travelling for work so it would not be ideal if I was!

BlindKitty · 10/11/2013 10:46

*healthy not herby lol!

BlindKitty · 10/11/2013 10:45

birdy morphology can always change. My dh's was 3% initially so I practically force fed him herby food and multivitamins, made him go to the gym and stopped his alcohol 2 months prior to us conceiving. Yes, with iui they do pick the best of the bunch but still think it was worth our efforts. They don't measure morphology at iui but they did say his count etc was excellent. Dread to think what it's like now he's not ttc!!!

BlueBirdy · 10/11/2013 10:24

GILL! I never knew that! Feel much better now Smile
Hehe, wish there was some sort of talisman against that red witch!

I love this thread, you berries are special.

Bunnygirlie · 10/11/2013 10:11

feather what a lovely post, I know what you mean about the berries, they are pretty awesome! So happy you are feeling stronger and more determined! Hoping you can get back to it soon. Hugs x

puppy I don't think I'll be able to fit anything in before Christmas. I guess I'll know more after the appts this week but I expect it will be January FX!

Oh dear barking hangovers suck ass, especially if you don't feel like you deserve one. Good luck for the race.

blue and because it ain't over till the red witch sings!

Foodylicious · 10/11/2013 10:06

charming I do think wearing something sexy can help, perhaps have him see you put on sexy underwear in the morning when you get ready for work?? Can think of you all day. (you can too and might feel a bit more up for it later) Also foreplay being the main event with just enough time for him to finish in the right (ahem) place.
Don't wait till bedtime if you can help it, and maybe sometimes not in bed?

feather good to hear from you. It must be bloody awful but I can see what you mean about relief and it does sound like the best possible outcome for you and your tube in the circumstances. The thought of having the op or being in limbo for so lo g must have been terrifying. Big hugs to you x x x

RevoltingPeasant · 10/11/2013 10:01

And feather what a horrid situation, but it does sound like your medical team have a plan to help you. Maybe, fx, you will not be facing that absolute worst case scenario.

barking how are you feeling now AF is approaching? Are things feeling at all easier?
