Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

Arggggghhhhh!!!!! I can't possibly work any more hours, yet I can't get everything done!!!! Feeling very Angry Angry Angry and frustrated about school at the moment. How can I be getting in at 7.15, leaving at 5.45, answering all my emails and doing all my planning at home, and yet still be so far behind with everything?!
I need a [frazzled] and [exhausted] smiley.....

SidneyBristow · 12/11/2013 14:48

RP Hmm linking arms makes it sound like a schoolyard game of Red Rover (do they do that here?), can just imagine the chant: Red Rover, Red Rover, send Aunt Flo on over! Grin Um NO stay away from us please...

are you madly symptom spotting? I think this month I'll break my tradition and keep them to myself so as to not feel like a total fool when if AF shows up right on time.

RevoltingPeasant · 12/11/2013 14:24

Ahhh Sidney am 9-11 dpo (messed up temping so not 100% sure) so we can link arms and wait for bfp AF!

SidneyBristow · 12/11/2013 13:37

Lady I'm so sorry. what does your husband think about changing clinics? is there a reason other than success rates that you're thinking of switching? Maybe after the follow-up, some of these decisions will become a little clearer Thanks

on a comical note, good luck to Mr Bunny and his spermcicle Grin

on a personal note, today is 10dpo for me and I'm not testing, no sirree I am not, it is too disappointing and I'm starting to get that empty-ish crampy feeling anyway so there doesn't seem much point.

ladybunnikins · 12/11/2013 10:34

Sid, I'm OK, only crying in the car, being kept busy at work. On Thursday I have my blood test to confirm beta hcg is back to 0 and will arrange follow up appointment. Also booked open evening at another clinic with better results but not sure whether to do another cycle at current clinic since at least I know them and their system now.

Bunnygirlie · 12/11/2013 08:20

Morning!

DH is off to make a jizz pop today, FX for no performance anxiety!

Here's to a good Tuesday, I hate Tuesday's!

SidneyBristow · 12/11/2013 08:19

feather and lady, how are you both feeling? Thanks

BlindKitty · 12/11/2013 06:37

charming you sounded like that woman who posted a while back about when she planned to conceive haha. Wish I had the link now. If your lp actually is short you could ask if the fc would consider prog pessaries. My friend is on get first cycle of them after 2 1/2 years ttc. Praying this will work

RevoltingPeasant · 11/11/2013 22:29

There is that, Barking. I didn't read till after I went to school whereas lots of kids in my class had already started.

And yeah, I think DFriend was also cushioning the blow as I'd just mentioned I have no pg symptoms.

Feather if you are reading, I was thinking of you today on the drive home and hoping you are seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.

CharmingCats · 11/11/2013 22:01

Yes, I know. But as I don't temp, I have no way of knowing my normal lp length. Hmmmm. My previous cycle was 64 days as I'd reduced metformin. This cycle might be odd as I'm back on high dose, but of slow release, so may not have had the same effect as quickly. But, I did think that clomid brought everything forward?? Anyhoo....
I'd take an august baby, but don't fancy the thought of being heavily pg in the hot weather... The summer babies in my current class are a mixed bag academically, but socially all quite immature. In Germany, parents of summer babies can choose to keep them back a year. Very civilised.

CatsCantFlyFast · 11/11/2013 21:30

Charming in general your LP starts from when you O. So late O doesn't make your LP shorter, it just makes your overall cycle longer. If your LP is normally 14 days it will still be 14 days (generally) from when you O

barkingtreefrog · 11/11/2013 21:27

boodle and rp the current August birthday child in my class is two academic years ahead of themselves, it's not that side of things I'd be worried about at all and obviously my child would be amazingly intelligent anyway, but this child (and most other August birthdays I can remember of the last 12 years of teaching) just seems so much younger than others in the class. My brother is a September birthday and his best mate growing up was an August birthday. They were only 3 weeks apart in age but my brother was a year behind at school and did so much better socially than his mate, had far more confidence.

More to the point I'm a June birthday and I remember that year of hell when all my mates turned 17 and started driving and I had months to wait, and then the following year was even worse when they all turned 18 and started going to pubs and clubs that didn't accept fake ID from someone who looked 15!!!

But like I say, I'd quite happily give birth on the 31st August if someone offered it right now!!!! What I'm really doing here is getting ahead of myself and cushioning the blow of my November bfn Wink .

CharmingCats · 11/11/2013 21:18

Evening. Thanks for the input on the dtd. It was fine, in the end. Cough.
Went for scan this evening, showed a single dominant folly! Not big enough yet, so we have to try on Thursday and I have another scan on Friday. Then May or may not have trigger over the weekend, depending on whether I've ovulated. My question now is, if I were to ov on Friday, as suggested, that would be cd 26. My cycles have been around 35 days, so would that mean a short lp? I could ov as late as sat or sun, so that could make a 7 day lp.... Mind you, my cycles are fairly unpredictable, so ithihs one may not be 35 days anyway, and I don't know about the impact the clomid will have had.... Here's to over thinkers united!

As for the instadiffers, an old school friend recently told me she was expecting. She completed an iron man competition and then got diffed straight after. Just goes to show that lots of exercise does not necessarily have a neg impact. Another 'friend' got married last month and was harping on before the wedding that she'd worked out the 3 days in October she could get diffed. Bet she does too!

In other news, work is driving me mad. I'm so stressed I feel panicky most of the time. I've spoken to the deputy about it and she told me to make a list of all the stuff I have to do and show her. Took me an hour to make the list yesterday. She didn't have time to look at it today. It has now got longer. I don't know if I'll get through the year, in all honesty. But don't know what to do. I have to assume that I won't get diffed and think short and medium term.

feather. Thanks for your update. I've been thinking of you and hoping for as good an outcome as possible.

Bunnygirlie · 11/11/2013 21:12

birdy sorry the witch got you

happy that staff room sounds like fun Sad I do feel sorry for those girls thinking it is that easy

barking do you still need that wang?!?

sid there is an awful lot of paperwork isn't there! When are you in next?

mrs that really made me chuckle! And I needed it after the horrid day I've had!

BlindKitty · 11/11/2013 20:49

mrsw best preseed advice (I have years of experience lol) is to pop it in in bathroom 5 mins before to warm it up and pretend its erm just you getting in the mood Wink

BecauseIsaidS0 · 11/11/2013 20:24

I'm a European December baby (so the youngest of my group) and did rather well, in fact so much that they considered having me skip one year but decided against it because I'd end up being practically two years older than the rest of the class!

I'm PMS-ing for England today. DH very mildly objected to my wish for a crazy expensive (CRAZY EXPENSIVE) bag and I burst into tears.

But at least now I get to buy the bag Grin

RevoltingPeasant · 11/11/2013 19:53

Yeah, I'm a very late July baby and well clever, so not too fussed about that Grin

Boodle9 · 11/11/2013 19:12

Just to weigh in on the August birthday thing; I've got 3 children in my class this year with August birthdays. One is very able, one is middle ability, one is a little lower but not terrible. In the previous 2 years, I taught some extremely bright August birthday children. It was lucky they were August as they'd have been bored stiff in the year below!

My point is that I wouldn't sweat the August baby thing at all now, although I never liked the thought of it before teaching.

happylass · 11/11/2013 19:11

Sid as someone who's been trying NOT to conceive for the last 3 months I have to admit I'm finding it a relief not to live my life in 2 weeks blocks, constantly obsessing and stressing over every little thing. I have no idea what cycle day I'm on at the moment and I couldn't really tell you when my next AF is due. It feels amazing and very liberating! As much as I want a baby I'm actually dreading starting back with the TTC again, but I know it's a means to an end. Having said all that I am still a teeny bit Envy of all you other Berries who still have the chance at a BFP every month.
Oh and I just checked the dates and if by some miracle I mange to get upduffed in Feb, March or April I will probably miss our Inspection too. That's obviously why it's taken me so long, it was meant to be Smile

OP posts:
barkingtreefrog · 11/11/2013 18:58

Exactly! I'd prefer not to have an August baby as they are so much younger than others in their year (I'm speaking with teacher hat on, it's been noticeable with a lot of my august pupils), and they never get a birthday party with all their friends as it's always in the holidays! However, after 2 years of trying and being aware of not wasting eggs or clomid, am I going to skip this month? Bugger that!! Grin

RevoltingPeasant · 11/11/2013 18:47

barking yes goddamnit, pop the pills and get shagging!!

Grin

Funnily enough, I had exactly that conversation about August babies with a dear friend who took forever 3 months to get her bfp. She asked if I was going stop trying this month? I was all like Confused because my haggard old eggs are withering apace.... so that would be a no, then!

So, 8-10dpo, no implantation bleeding, no symptoms that could remotely be interpreted as pg symptoms. I feel weirdly at peace with imminent AF arrival lies silly

barkingtreefrog · 11/11/2013 18:45

Sorry, trying to catch up on my phone...

pip I can't believe the rudeness and downright lack of necessity in tweeting you that response!

sid fingers crossed for the best timing!!

birdy is this your first appointment? If it's anything like my first appointment it will be just to check in and start the further tests, won't matter where you are in your cycle.

mrsw nice to see there's still some fun ttc happening!

mrswalker13 · 11/11/2013 18:33

I hesitate to say yes barking but... yes! I'm an awful one for overthinking and can report it has done me precisely no good at all.

My pre seed arrived Friday (thought I'd try it while we wait for next step of medical bits) Was torn about telling DH - but did - hope his reaction errs on cheering up not just TMI...

DH: So what is it?
Me: (explanation)
DH: (brandishing applicator and using comedy Euro accent) Aha! Now zen fraulein vee make zee babies!

He's a one for setting the mood my DH Wink

SidneyBristow · 11/11/2013 18:30

Barking totally understandable to overthink all of this; you've been down a long road these last few months Thanks you're sounding much stronger lately and getting back in the swing of TTC I think will help. Sometimes when I think of not TTC, I honestly can't imagine what that would look like day-to-day - can't envision a time when the "what if"s won't be hanging over me, or the next hurdle/appointment is being arranged/waited for/analyzed...so if you're like me, TTC is your "safe place" where you know what you're doing, and anything beyond that is kind of scary.

Have just finished the clinic paperwork; it only took 3 hours Shock

Imagine the belief that you could just magic up a baby so as to get you out of a stressful period at work Envy must be nice to be that innocent! I still can't believe that enough time has passed that MotherofCleo has had her baby!!

barkingtreefrog · 11/11/2013 17:50

foody it's always those ones that do get pg just as they'd planned though Angry . Or whinge and moan because it took them a whole four months to get pg and it was awful not that I'm bitter about my friend who told me she understood what I was going through as it took them 4 months to get pg Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

The current bump at work was planned in order to get away from the head. She'll end up missing our next ofsted as well. I've still got a slim chance of missing Ofsted if they come next September rather than the summer term!!!

Work has been scarily busy and by the time I finished gave up on my lesson planning last night I was too tired to log on to the berries!

I'm on clomid day 2 Grin . rp you asked me how it was feeling. It feels a little strange to be honest. It's been so long since we were last ttc (4 months) and there have been such highs and lows in between that it's partly quite depressing to be back here again, but I'm also more hopeful than I could mamage to be whilst stuck in no AF limbo. Part of me is desperate for a bfp, another part thinks I wouldn't be as gutted this month about a bfn as I'd prefer to not have an August baby (but would obviously be very happy to have one anyway!!) Then we get to Dec and I start thinking that if I was going to get a bfp before our wedding I'd ideally be 12 weeks by Feb and therefore less stressed when we get married, but it's too late by then so actually maybe it would be better not to be pg as I could spoil the whole event of the wedding by being stressed about the possibility of mc'ing whilst getting married.....

I should really just take the tablets, dtd and stop over thinking things shouldn't I?! Blush
