It's being very stubborn isn't it RP!

RevoltingPeasant · 13/11/2013 20:24

Merk I tried and ff not having any of it Confused

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/11/2013 20:10

Everything crossed for v short cycles. I think you need I wear white trousers permanently to bring AF on early now! And if there is even a teeny silver lining at all, its that you can drink what you want over Xmas. I know it doesn't make up for not being diffed, but I'm trying to find a bright side for you

Bunnygirlie · 13/11/2013 20:03

Not that exciting, the pessimist in me still thinks that you and thunder boom and kitty will all have had your babies before I even get pg!

I will know more after meeting with nurse tomorrow but based on when I expect AF and the chart on the main FC website it should be mid January when I start jabbing! AF has ranged from 24-32 days the past few months so obviously I'm hoping for a shorter cycle Wink

Diplodocus we should call it that from now on Grin

Boodle9 · 13/11/2013 19:39

Holy moly! I'm not a dildocam fan or anything, but I'd take a thousand of them over having a diplodocus in my fanjo...

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/11/2013 19:34

RP can I suggest, now you're more sure you Od when you thought, that you make that temp lower so FF reflects what you know. Otherwise FF will have differing lengths for your LP data and be less clear on your temp pattern making it less likely to be right in future

RevoltingPeasant · 13/11/2013 19:29

*i meant the ivf process is exciting, not the dildocam - or diplodocus as my iPad preferred Hmm

RevoltingPeasant · 13/11/2013 19:28

Bunny tis exciting though! :)

AF due tomorrow and I know I'm not pg - I'm not just saying that, I really don't think so unlike in some other months - but I feel stupidly nervous about it. Like the kind of nerves you get before opening an important letter or finding out a test result. No idea why Confused

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/11/2013 18:28

Any clues when in January? It's all getting exciting round here! Is there a new list as there seems to be lots of people due for IVF soon and I've lost track

Bunnygirlie · 13/11/2013 17:13

Evening!

Well one appt down, another tomorrow, this was just a chat with one of the doctors and everyone's favourite.... (drumroll please) another dildocam Grin As expected I will miss December so FX January!

Bunnygirlie · 13/11/2013 08:33

Thanks gil and pip, I think taking it one day at a time is best, it's all so much to take in. Last night was the first time I really read a lot about the process so it did freak me out a little. Feel sick today, hope it's just ibs stress and not a sickness bug!

Our FC is changing the way it does things, less open evenings instead they are having a presentation on their website but it isn't on there yet!

FX for the op gil! When is it?

Have a good day ladies, will report in later Smile

Pipbin · 12/11/2013 23:09

Bunny. I found it all so confusing but in the end I took it one day at a time. I just made sure I took the right drugs on the right days and turned up for appointments. It was just too much to take in in one go.

Gillster · 12/11/2013 23:07

That sounds like the icing on the dreadful day cake Barking. Hopefully tomorrow will improve.

Come on Charming's folly, grow, grow!

Bunny - you asked about timescales? Well I expect I'll be ringing the clinic on 26th Nov (1st day of AF) to arrange my teaching appointment which I guess will be sometime before Christmas? If all was normal, I would have anticipated starting the end of Jan but I'm supposed to wait 3 months after my fibroid op. Therefore, assuming my cycles stay pretty consistent, I'll start taking the drugs at the end of February with egg collection sometime in March. I can't leave it any later as will be 40 mid March so wouldn't qualify for our free go if I started the drugs any later. Talk about cutting it fine!

At the IVF open evening they said it could take up to 4 months to start treatment, it just depended what week you ended up calling as some weeks are busier than others but I will be a priority so should be accepted when I call in Feb (unless I have an ironidiff before then!)

Have you been to an IVF open evening? Our clinic runs one every 3 months, it was pretty interesting more for the questions that people asked afterwards.

Just hope the fibroid removal op goes OK and that everything is spick and span down there afterwards Blush.

Was in a meeting yesterday to discuss our audit at work which will be in Feb/March. Not great timing work wise but I have no choice. I think my boss may have gone through all of this himself so hoping he'll be sympathetic.

Bunnygirlie · 12/11/2013 22:50

Grrrrrrrr barking what a pain in the arse!

Just read through all my ivf info, don't think I'll be sleeping well tonight,my head is spinning!

Why oh why couldn't I have got pg the old fashioned way Sad

barkingtreefrog · 12/11/2013 22:28

Well my evening just improved no end with a parking ticket Angry Angry . I checked the sign before parking. What I didn't know was that if I had walked on about 4 car spaces further and checked the next sign it said disabled only. How was I supposed to know it was going to change?! The only thing I could see (and only because I was looking for it afterwards) was a bit of a step down, but no markings on the ground. Angry Angry I'm going to contest it, but could do without the stress.
Tomorrow has to be a better day!

Bunnygirlie · 12/11/2013 22:20

RP I'll let you know tomorrow or thurs after my appts how I feel lol

charming excited, scared, nervous, worried....

CharmingCats · 12/11/2013 21:51

Glad I'm not the only teacher feeling overwhelmed....parents' evening tomorrow. Grrrrr.

blind. Not sure about your ref to the one planning conception. I meant that I'd take any baby, august or not. Grow little folly, grow.
Yay to bunny and gill skipping down the IVF road. Expect to be joining you soon. Hope you're feeling excited as well as everything else!
sid hoping that af stays away
lady hoping that you get some answers at your follow up.

Noticing ewcm, which should mean we should dtd, but folly wouldn't be big enough, according to Lovely Consultant. He told me to dtd on Thursday as even Wednesday would be too early. The folly grows at a rate of 2mm a day...so, is this where I've been going wrong? Dtd while there's ewcm and stopping too early? Interesting. I have to say, after 16 months of nothing, I'd be mightily annoyed if that was a factor! Nothing to do with pco, oh no.....

RevoltingPeasant · 12/11/2013 21:28

Gillster I also tell DH he is for kitchen and bedroom work Grin

Today wasn't that bad really!! DSis4 rang after I'd marked 2 essays and had some major drama to relate so I haven't done all much.... Will totally pay for that later this week.

So tomorrow I will be 10dpo and on track for AF

So Bunny and Gill, do you both feel like you are on the journey properly now??

Bunnygirlie · 12/11/2013 21:27

Ah thanks Gil I wonder why we have two appts this week then?!? It's all so strange and unknown!

I am going to ask more about the sperm freeze, I assume it's coz of the low count, to make sure there is enough to work with when the time comes! Did they tell you any timescale for yours?

Gillster · 12/11/2013 20:09

Also a long day at work for me (8am - 7pm) and expect this to continue for the next three weeks or so. Feel good though as got a positive OPK this morning so jumped on DH as soon as I got home whilst I still had some energy. I am now relaxing whilst he makes dinner Grin.

Bunny - why do they freeze your DH's sperm in advance? Is it to make sure there's enough good quality stuff at the critical time?

Gillster · 12/11/2013 20:01

Bunny- I only had an appointment with a practitioner nurse. She took a bit of history, told us our blood, scan and SA results, told us which protocol we'd be doing and explained the procedure in more detail. We then spent around 20 mins going through and signing all the consent forms.

Bunnygirlie · 12/11/2013 19:49

lady sending you hugs x

barking sorry you had a bad day, and you too RP

sid and kitty thanks lol, not sure if the spermcicle has been made, he has to go back next week. Guess his count really is low Sad

FC appt tomorrow, this one with a doctor, nurse one on thurs, I don't really know what to expect, who else has done this?!?

BlindKitty · 12/11/2013 19:31

bunny actually lol at the sperm popsicle! Did everything go ok? X

barkingtreefrog · 12/11/2013 19:07

rp Completely and utterly pointless admin tasks that no-one will ever look at yet need doing immediately in a very precise but illogical way. My favourite Grin .

Grr.

RevoltingPeasant · 12/11/2013 18:43

Yy to that. 7.45 to 5.30 and now at kitchen table with pile of essays. Eurgh......

It is also The Rule that you will get some hellish admin email at 4.57pm telling you to transfer all records you have ever created into a new template which is only distinguishable from the last template because it is 10.5 Arial as opposed to 12pt.
