Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

Evening all!

Hectic work week so been popping in and keeping up but not posting - wanted to make effort today to say hello and wave but capable of nowt else!

BlindKitty · 14/11/2013 18:55

feather so good to hear from you and that you didn't have to make that awful decision

rp yes thunder did have a name change. Lets just say the copter thread was very flatus based yesterday Grin

birdy how terrible for her Hmm...

bunny don't stress about the injections. Once you've done one or two you'll get used to it

BlueBirdy · 14/11/2013 15:32
Blush
BlueBirdy · 14/11/2013 15:24

Hi all, wow there are quite a few teacher berries!

That's good news Feather, how many cycles of IVF would you get? It's good to know it can happen with clomid anyway.

Oh no, Bunny - is starting on the 2nd is still a possibility? How about trying some foot stamping?

Pea still will have FX for you, in the 'good luck' kind of way but also in the warding off evil (AF witch) kind of way.

Hoping Bristowpooch is ok Sad My pooch was throwing up most of Tuesday night, but I'm sure that was down to her penchant for, erm, 'cow puddles'.

Am a bit Angry as someone has just posted in the Infertility section about how they have been TTC for 5 months now and she's not pg yet. Hmm

Anyway, I'll put up my updated details tomorrow, after FC appt Smile

Gillster · 14/11/2013 14:18

I will also be on the short protocol Bunny. It will be here before you know it so stop that stressing, enjoy Christmas and get your's and DH's bods in the best working order that they can be for when you start.

Bunnygirlie · 14/11/2013 13:16

Aaaaaggggghhh my head is spinning! Had my appt with the nurse this morning, we went through all the many many forms and signed them AND I had my injection lesson! She is ordering my drugs for me, I will be on a short protocol.

BUT don’t get excited my dear Berries, because of the festive period it is likely I will miss 2 cycles! SadAngry another reason to hate the c-word! grrrrrrrrrrrrr

sorry its all me me me, i'm at work and don't have chance to read back, will catch up tonight

FeatherFeather11 · 14/11/2013 11:29

Hello all,

Just checking in for the first time in a while. Forced myself offline this week to avoid obsessing. I'm alright and it seems I've been 'lucky' in the sense that I've not had to have surgery or methotrexate. My hcg levels are coming down more and more every day - yesterday it was 47 - so no more hospital visits for me till next Wednesday when they want to do a final test to confirm hcg is below 5. I've not been to work all week and feeling incredibly guilty about that.

The fertility nurse called last night and we had a long chat. She says that her personal opinion is that what happened to me was a 'tubal abortion' and that here's no reason I can't go on to have a normal pregnancy. I don't know what to do at the moment - get on the IVF waiting list or give clomid one last bash. Maybe it's too early to make that sort of decision.

ANYWAY. Great to see things are moving for so many. Lots of IVF rumblings which is brill. sid sorry you had such a shit time yesterday. rp fingers! toes and everything crossed for you. lady hope you're ok. thunder loving the name change and hope your anxiety blows over. I'd imagine it's natural to feel the way you do after your experience, but just know that the odds are that everything is perfect.

Will catch up further back on the thread soon. Sorry if I've missed anyone out with major news. Flowers to all.

Thunderpantsarego · 14/11/2013 09:22

Revolting pea- ha!

RP it's not been brought on by any specific symptom, no. It comes from the general underlying fear following my last mc added to the fact that I've got to the point now that if something does go wrong I would have to go through a delivery rather than a D&C and that idea really fills me with cold fear. Hearing a few stories of people miscarrying at this stage certainly doesn't help!

Will look out for your testing at the weekend then. Fingers crossed....

RevoltingPeasant · 14/11/2013 09:08

Anyhow, listy?

Bunny - 33, TTC since June 2012, just had lap/hyst, PCO and bit of endo, IVF/ICSI in January hopefully!
RevoltingPea, 34 ttc since May 2013, some, er 'mechanical' ishoos, AF due any day now!

RevoltingPeasant · 14/11/2013 09:06

Thunder is that a name change? Because if so it is brilliant Grin

Are you okay? May I ask, were you fears prompted by some symptom or just general anxiety? v v much hope all is well Flowers

Merk yes but, I have noticed in recent cycles that my temp often drops the day after AF starts, so a high temp today may not mean anything. Also, although I am 13dpo according to FF, my calc makes me only 11dpo, so not time to break out the internet cheapies just yet!!

I have not so far had any AF or pg symptoms but then I often don't have AF symptoms If AF isn't here by the weekend I will test but I am fairly sure I'm not and can't bear the bfn today....

Thunderpantsarego · 14/11/2013 08:13

What's this I hear? Someone who needs to pimp? RP??

Hi everyone else, hope you're all doing ok? I've been laying low in a small phase of things-are-going-to-go-wrong fear recently. Turns out hiding from life can help for a short while anyway.

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/11/2013 08:05

RP???!?
no I haven't chart stalked and noticed your temp has stayed up at all

Bunnygirlie · 14/11/2013 07:40

Maybe kitty I sure hope so!

BlindKitty · 14/11/2013 07:10

sid shame your clinic doesn't also do private work. Lots of nhs ones do now. Also a shame that you didn't whack the idiot next to you...that would have been hilarious!

bunny you will be eating your words come feb time missy!

funkymonk · 14/11/2013 01:06

I've been awol off mn again. Just been catching up. I'm so so sorry feather and lady. Thinking of you and wishing you well.

Sorry that you had a disappointing appt today sid. It doesn't seem fair.

Not sure if I'm 9 or 10dpo now. Had progesterone test Monday and dh has jizz test in morning. I still know nothing about the thrombophillia as the specialist nurse at the clinic doesn't seem to actually understand what it is/what I need to know/potential problems!

Chuckling at the diplodocus!

Bunnygirlie · 13/11/2013 22:49

Did merk want a new list?!? Grin

Bunny - 33, TTC since June 2012, just had lap/hyst, PCO and bit of endo, IVF/ICSI in January hopefully!

Bunnygirlie · 13/11/2013 22:26

Oh white trousers would be a nightmare! I always drop chocolate in my crotch at work lol

Yep merk one more boozy Christmas party before never drinking again Wink

Just realised its CD12, guess I might have to think about DTD?!?

Oh barking nightmare! Interesting run I bet lol.

sid we can be ivf buds Smile So sorry you had a bad day, hope your pooch is ok. Worrying about our furry babies is horrid x

yorkie hope you get to join us in the ivf gang

Yes how are you doing lady and feather?

yorkiebilb · 13/11/2013 22:23

Fx RP

Exciting news on being so close to ivf bunny

sid sounds like such a shit day. Sorry to read about the pointless NHS appointment. I know other berries have had better experiences but I've found then pretty frustrating and useless so you're not the only one to feel let down by them. I agree with the others private all the way!

Hope all goes well with the fibroid op gill and you get to start ivf ASAP.

Lots of us hopefully starting ivf soon. I want to start in Jan but not sure what is going to happen now after my dodgy blood test results. My failed iui seems to have mucked my cycle up completely which is v worrying. I'm on day 20 and no sign of ovulation and I suspect this pesky cyst is stopping it and has screwed up my hormones. I'm not sure how long to wait before I ask the clinic as I'm concerned if my cycles aren't normal and the cyst stays I won't be able to have ivf until it disappears?

How are you doing lady? And feather hope you're okay x

ladybunnikins · 13/11/2013 22:03

Oh Sid, what a rotten day. Really hope it's not pancreatitis again. Do they know what's causing the pancreatitis? I know in humans the most common cause is gallstones but I have no idea about dogs! The clinic appointment sounded harsh and pointless. 2 fingers up at the NHS and onwards to private IVF.

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/11/2013 21:53

Sid that would really piss me off too. Are most of the NHS areas around us the same with their criteria for IVF?
January is going to be b exciting
Hope your dog just has random sickness

Barking are you well prepared for some TTC shagging??

SidneyBristow · 13/11/2013 21:43

Bunny pretty sure we'll be IVFing at the same time! Will know more after our appt in a couple of weeks. Unless AF stays away, of course. 11dpo and no clue what the next few days will bring. RP fingers still v tightly crossed for you Thanks

Utterly shit day. We had our NHS fertility clinic appointment this afternoon. Waiting room was mobbed and the weirdo sat next to me kept touching me, as he mimicked the sounds being made by a little boy nearby with Down's Syndrome Sad Consultant spent 45min transcribing our medical histories/test results onto a new sheet of paper, despite having all relevant info already in the file. Test results from Sept for both of us are slightly worse than same panels run in March (but still within normal ranges). Once transcription was done, she asked if either of us have children - YES, as stated within the effing file!! So then she tells us we would be referred for IVF, but can't be, due to existing kids. I knew this, but it upset me anyway - in a way it feels like my wants/needs for my own life aren't important, bc I married a man who had babies with someone else Sad but can't really blame anyone for that, so just stuck with my crappy feelings. She wished us well and has closed our file. Now must beg my GP to do all the blood tests that are required by the private IVF clinic.

Worst of all, this evening, Bristowpooch threw up 3x. Vet gave him meds and he's to return tomorrow for observation, and testing for another case of pancreatitis. He's utterly pitiful and I can't stand the thought of him going through this over and over again Sad Sad Sad Sad but the alternative is just awful. Please God just let it be a random spate of vomiting.

barkingtreefrog · 13/11/2013 21:34

No point being pessimistic Bunny, better to get excited about the possibilities ahead! Grin

barkingtreefrog · 13/11/2013 21:31

Speaking of AF and white trousers... I rushed home from work tonight and got changed for running in a hurry. Ran to the toilet, removed tampon, rushed to get to the meeting point in time then realised after we set off that I hadn't replaced the tampon..... Ooooo that was an interesting run Blush . I figured it was a dark night and I was wearing black leggings Blush . Good job I don't get a heavy AF!!!

RevoltingPeasant · 13/11/2013 20:51

Well whatever, I don't really rely on ff for LP lengths, just OV dates, so I'll know....

CatsCantFlyFast · 13/11/2013 20:35

I am not chart stalking at all, no, not me
