Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

Thanks barking I am trying to see the positive and will be having a few drinkies at the work Christmas party! For the best really, if I didn't drink at the party they would all think something was up!

It will take a while to get over your loss Hun, don't rush it x

Gil I hope we can start end December or end jan depending on AF.

Gillster · 25/11/2013 23:13

I'm pretty certain I'll be starting the drugs at the end of Feb Bunny.

barkingtreefrog · 25/11/2013 22:11

rp I'm not really bothered about being pg for the wedding (and I'm making the dress myself so that's not an issue) I'm really just terrified that I'll either be throwing up on my wedding day, or much worse, having a miscarriage Sad .

But, shag week here so dutifully upping the frequency to every day if possible.

What will be will be. Unless we decide to stop ttc not going to happen at this point then I just have to accept it is out of my control and will happen when it happens. I need to stop mourning the pg I lost (that was perfectly timed for wedding/work/in sync with friends etc) and move on.

Sorry for the delay bunny and the confusion charming, glad you got it sorted.

Bunnygirlie · 25/11/2013 21:06

Ah another shorty, when you hoping to start gil?

boodle hope you manage to fit it round hubby's trips!

Oh barking sorry you are feeling bad, hugs x Flowers

charming what a pain they didn't explain things properly

Ooh sid it's happening yay!

Dare I mention a new list?!? Wink

Well the 25th has come and gone, which means I will def miss first available cycle!

SidneyBristow · 25/11/2013 20:58

Ooh Charming I'm glad you made your point and they backed down. I only did 1 "ovulation induction" cycle with them, and only had one scan Hmm didn't even occur to me that there might be a set number included in the package. This is one of my pet bugaboos - it's hard for me to feel comfortable if in the back of my mind I'm wondering if I'm being over/under charged, whether I'm being talked into something I don't need, etc. What's the plan for you going forward? How many cycles of Clomid did you think you might do?

Have sent off some forms to our IVF clinic in prep for our appt next week. Starting to feel a bit real, now.

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/11/2013 20:45

Charming was this a monitored cycle? apologies I always need a recap, I have a terrible memory did you def o? Did you get the third scan for free then?

CharmingCats · 25/11/2013 20:41

RP lots of cuddling in the charming house.

Well, it turns out that my ov induction cycles only include 2 scans in the package cost. That was not made clear and I went along for 3. I kicked off and they cancelled the invoice. I would not have agreed to more scans had I known. Had to pay for the meds on top as well, so the price quoted is not an ov induction if you ask me.

11 dpo, so not worries about short lp now. Feeling very emotional and cramps, so reckon af on her way. Eating like a heffer and have sore boobs.

boodle glad the appointment went well. I agree about putting yourself into the hands of the experts.

RevoltingPeasant · 25/11/2013 19:03

Barking tbh, your wedding will work out whatever. You either are so pg you tell people, or don't need to -- or, you sneakily toast with sparkling apple juice. Also you can easily get a dress adjusted by a decent dressmaker. Honestly, the wedding won't be an issue :)

So.... CD6, AF still not entirely finished Hmm, plodding along here till weekend after next when I can leap on DH again.

Is it really terrible that these days we mostly just cuddle if we are not actively ttc that week - and we don't mind? Blush

I am v v excited for all the IVF people. In a way, it is great that you are getting such expert medical advice instead of just having to figure it out on your own. I am positive you will all have bfps by spring! Envy

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/11/2013 18:27

Barking you're bound to feel confused. I am crap at advice so can only suggest that you have to keep plodding on, enjoying the stuff you can while you can and knowing that whenever you do get diffed you will be thrilled and the timing won't matter at the end of the day.
What month is the wedding? How's the planning/dress coming along?

barkingtreefrog · 25/11/2013 18:12

I feel a bit left behind, if I hadn't had the bfp then mc I'd be starting ivf in January as well.

Now I'm in some weird limbo where I'm still hysterically jealous of bumps and still avoiding the bump-that-should-match-mine, (even thinking about facing it brings me to tears) yet part of me doesn't want to get pg now until next year. I've concentrated so hard since the mc on pushing myself to do all the things that I couldn't do if pg.
It seems to have worked a bit too well as now I'm really looking forward to all that stuff and don't want to stop!! Blush

The approaching wedding doesn't help either. When I got my bfp the dates worked beautifully. I would have been safely pg as much as you ever can be by the wedding, but not too close to the due date. If I got a bfp now I would be likely to be stressing about another mc and/or in the middle of nausea & exhaustion. Also, it'd be at that point where some people would feel awkward because you've told them too early but I couldn't hide not being able to toast my own wedding so it'd be a little obvious!

I'm feeling very mixed up and confused! Sad Confused

Boodle9 · 25/11/2013 17:28

I don't know about January, Bunny; hubster has some unavoidable business travel early next year and I guess we'll just have to look at dates closer to the time. Might have to put it off for a couple of months if the dates don't work.

Gillster · 25/11/2013 13:41

I'm on the short protocol too Bunny.

Bunnygirlie · 25/11/2013 08:20

Ooh boodle exciting! So starting in Jan? Am I the only one on short protocol then?

Jan/feb is going to be busy busy in Berry HQ!

Gil it is sad that we've got to this point but i feel better now I know somebodyelse is in control, does that make sense? I've even kind of given up TTC naturally Shock

Gillster · 25/11/2013 08:01

It's sad that we have to go down the IVF route but at least we'll be in it together. We won't be able to keep up with this thread around Feb time!

Boodle9 · 25/11/2013 06:55

Just googled! Long protocol then!

Boodle9 · 25/11/2013 06:52

She didn't actually say which protocol it was, despite explaining the process in great detail. Down reg from cd21 and then official test day 6-7 weeks later.

Gillster · 24/11/2013 23:09

Boodle did you have your IVF appointment yesterday? How did it all go? Which protocol did they say?

Gillster · 24/11/2013 23:06

Sid - I bled for 5-6 days after the hysteroscopy. It got really frustrating having to wear pads for that long. I'm certainly not looking forward to 9th Dec and my fibroid op. for some reason I think it may be worse.

barkingtreefrog · 24/11/2013 22:48

Did that just post twice? Angry

barkingtreefrog · 24/11/2013 22:47

It could be ovulation cramps but it would be very early even if 4 days after cramps started. Clomid didn't bring ov forward last time so I'm not expecting it to this time. Not had a + opk yet, still snowy white.
Feeling really mixed and weird about the whole ttc thing at the moment. Hmm

Tallyra · 24/11/2013 21:50

Sid, we waited just under s week to dtd after my hysteroscopy, I didn't want to wait any linger as it was the right time. that was what caused our bfp so I'd say we waited long enough!Grin

Boodle9 · 24/11/2013 20:09

Barking, I got crampy feelings for about 3 -4 days before ovulation when I was on the clomid.

(IVF consultant tactfully said she didn't agree with me ever being prescribed clomid in the first place. Confirmation that my initial FC was a muppet.)

SidneyBristow · 24/11/2013 19:47

Barking yes, while I was taking the Clomid tablets, I had horrific cramps; it felt like one continuous stitch at my right ovary and at times took my breath away. Was painful enough to keep me awake at night some nights but thankfully went away once I was done with taking the pills - it didn't last all month. around ovulation time my ov cramps were worse. Consultant said it was indicative of how my ovaries were stretching etc to accommodate the extra follicles, but then at scan, I had only developed 2 big ones and a third smaller one - kind of concerns me in terms of how I'll respond to IVF drugs, bc previous scans have shown I ovulate from each side on my own anyway, without drugs.

The whole thing did my head in and I decided not to take the second round of tablets, mostly due to just wanting to get on with IVF.

Anyone remember how long they bled/spotted post-hysteroscopy? I'm still having a bit of pain and random spotting. Surgeon said to not DTD til bleeding was over, to avoid poss of infection. Today's CD9 and I don't want to miss one of our last possibilities for an ironidiff!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 24/11/2013 19:09

Pip great news
