Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

If you haven't ovulated in 50mg, would it be worth giving 100mg a go next month? Might be worth talking to your doc about that...

winohhh · 04/12/2013 10:35

I worry when I don't drink that someone is going to ask if I'm pregnant and make me cry!!

barkingtreefrog · 04/12/2013 10:27

feather I'm on 50mg.
win I think I'm going to go for the drinking option. With the low temps it seems very unlikely anything has or will happen until my cycles start working. Given I am such a lightweight after giving up alcohol for so long in my quest to make ready my baby palace that 2 glasses of wine is my limit anyway, and if I've got to pace myself through 3 evenings it's more likely to be less than that!!!

winohhh · 04/12/2013 09:55

barking I had a similar dilemma after having my dildocam last week and being told I hadn't ovulated. I opted for drinking (a lot). I also plan to drink at all the Xmas parties over the next couple of weeks. Although I'm going to try not to go overboard in a 'clutching at straws' attempt to be healthy and somehow help my old eggs!

Glad to hear you don't have any side effects as yet lady. Fingers crossed it continues!

winohhh · 04/12/2013 09:48

So sorry to hear about your shitty year cherry. Thanks

FeatherFeather11 · 04/12/2013 08:18

How many mg's are you on? I think this is one for someone a bit more clued up as I have no idea!

And re Christmas parties, I'd just go ahead and have a drink or six, but everyone is different. I plan to make the most of this festive malarkey seeing as there's no chance of me getting preg.

barkingtreefrog · 04/12/2013 07:26

5 days since +opk and no temp rise, temp went down again this morning. Looks like I had a surge but didn't O? I've googled temping and clomid and the majority don't seem to have a problem other than noticing elevated temps on the days they took the pills. The only thing I can think of is that I've not been sleeping well, waking up 3 or 4 times in the night. It's never stopped me seeing a clear coverline before though.

The bottom line is - three xmas dos in as many days this weekend - usually in the 2ww I'd stay sober but looks like nothing is happening. Do I still play it safe or do I accept that my cycles still haven't kicked in enough to ovulate and just go out and relax??? Hmm Confused

FeatherFeather11 · 03/12/2013 23:50

Wow - can't believe that they do that, barking. I mean, I know they do, and I know it's worked for lots of people that way, but I guess I'm used to being scanned and injected to within an inch of my life. Nurse didn't saying anything about opk's, but I have to go for a check-up scan next Monday so will ask someone then.

Just watched masterchef and now starving again after a massive dinner and ice cream. Need to reign it all in otherwise I'm going to get so lardy. Shock

barkingtreefrog · 03/12/2013 22:40

Nope, nowt like that, just 6 months supply of tablets and instructions to come back in 6 months if they haven't worked! Did the nurse say anything about opks?

FeatherFeather11 · 03/12/2013 22:14

It's probably a clomid thing barking. My fertility nurse said there was no point in temping on clomid. Are the monitoring you? Scans? Trigger shot?

barkingtreefrog · 03/12/2013 22:05

I'm good thanks feather I was glad to be back on the clomid after waiting so long to be able to start ttc again but now I'm just confused as my temps usually tell me exactly where I am in my cycle but they're not as high as they should be. I didn't temp past cd18 on my last clomid cycle as I was on holiday and with long flights and different time zones etc it seemed pointless so I don't know whether this is a clomid thing or a post mc thing!

happylass · 03/12/2013 21:33

Yay Bunny great news on the IVF!

Yep plan is to start back Feb/March I think (already had nearly 4 months off - how time flies!). Although the bridal shop text today to say that my dress has arrived. Got quite excited and wondered if we should wait a bit longer as don't want to be able to not fit in it should a miracle happen (though I know the changes of me getting upduffed straight away are slim to zero!)
FC appt is in 16 days not that I'm counting or anything!!

OP posts:
FeatherFeather11 · 03/12/2013 20:26

Ps. bunny great news on the next round! Fx'd for lots of early NY Berrie bfps!!

FeatherFeather11 · 03/12/2013 20:25

Ahh, thanks barking - still not sure what it means, but I'm just going to wait it out and try not to obsess too much. How are you? How did you find Being back on Clomid?

bunny I've not even started thinking about presents. SO can't be bothered. At this rate everyone's just going to get a pack of custard creams if they're lucky. Hmm

Bunnygirlie · 03/12/2013 20:12

Helloooooooo!

happy ooh didn't realise you were 'getting back in the horse' so soon, feb/march isn't too far away at all. Isn't your FC appt coming up this month? Assume you will be keeping quiet about the break?

Good to see you cherry so sorry to hear about your sister Flowers

Sorry to those with wonky cycles, it must be a pain. Am hoping mine have settled down again following the stress from FC and laparoscopy.

feather welcome back, glad you managed to enjoy your time away.

Christmas is a funny one, second one for me too that I thought I'd at least be pg, maybe that's why I am so slow in sorting out prezzies etc, I just can't be bothered!

News here, spoke to FC nurse today and we're good to go next CD2 which should be between Christmas and new year Smile

barkingtreefrog · 03/12/2013 20:08

feather glad you had a good time Smile . I didn't get a +opk or any sign of AF after my mc, it was over 2 months later by the time I took the provera. With me the opks are snowy white most of the month, then the line gets stronger and stronger for 3 or 4 days until I get a positive, then snowy white a couple of days later. Don't know if that helps at all!

FeatherFeather11 · 03/12/2013 19:37

Evening all! I'm back from Italy having eaten twice my own body weight in pasta washed down with buckets of Wine. Feeling revived and pleased to have got away from life for a bit. blue you were right: am glad colleague told me before I went as it gave me time to process the news. Am ok with it for the moment, but sure that will change as her bump appears. Thanks for all your support over that incident, guys.

cherry reading your post brought a tear to my eye. Hope you are as ok as can be. Family illness is very tough. Flowers

sid second week of the tww is usually when I'm at my tetchiest. Resist doing a hpt at all costs!

because totally get what you were saying about needing to go MIA for a bit. This ttc business is exhausting.

How is everyone? Just catching up on the thread now. Re Christmas songs etc - the bit I'm finding the hardest is that last year I kept thinking "this time next year I'll be pregnant or maybe even have a newborn. and obviously, I have neither Sad

I did an opk this evening and a very faint second line came up. Last week, there was no line. Not temping or doing the opks with regularity as I'm not on officially ttc again till the new year, but not had af since the ectopic and there is no sign of one either. Any thoughts, anyone? (merk, are you there?!? Grin)

CharmingCats · 03/12/2013 19:09

Was listening to the radio this morning and also switched off when they played 'when a child is born'. Also feeling your pain about the over-ambitious Christmas production, barking . We practised our nativity today and it was a shambles. We have to fight for time in the hall. We are the only year group doing a full production with costumes and speaking parts, yet we don't get any priority for rehearsal. The show to parents is next Thursday. I was ready to cry after the rehearsal today. We're also expected to do 2 dress rehearsals next week to older children.

Very emotional too. Not helping.

barkingtreefrog · 03/12/2013 18:38

sid shopping for DP's baby nephew did put me out a bit, but as I did all my xmas shopping online on Sunday night it wasn't like I was trawling through a baby shop, I just bought a book!

What is getting to me, and I remember this being painful last year as well, are certain Christmas songs. I turned the radio off this morning when they started playing 'When a child is born' Sad

gilster my cycles have always been wonky, ever since they started. Since charting though I've always had a clear difference between pre and post O temps, which is what is screwed up this month. I don't know whether this is linked to the clomid, or whether the provera 'withdrawal bleed' means it won't be a 'normal' cycle anyway. The FC didn't tell me not to take the clomid this cycle though.
Putting on weight isn't an option unless I stop exercising, which I'm definitely not doing as it's the only thing keeping me sane! I have a very high metabolism and even when I was ill and completely inactive I struggled to put much weight on. I'm not skinny to look at (although I used to be when I was on the pill) and I'm not underweight.
I just want this cycle to be over and a normal one to start!!

BlueBirdy · 03/12/2013 14:14

Sid just going shopping is a test! So many little ones about! I left boots in tears on Sunday as got to the till only to be told that the '3 for 2' offer on 'vitamins and herbal supplements' that was plastered all over the conception/pregnancy section didn't actually include the boots conception stuff, and there was no way I was about to part with £43! I was surrounded by prams and to be honest it was just the last straw. Anyway, just looking into baby shops gets me upset, so know exactly how you feel!

BlueBirdy · 03/12/2013 14:01

Thanks for the DHEA info Lady, that link was interesting. I wonder why it is not so popular here though? I'll defo be talking to our Dr about it! Hopefully it does help, and for you Win!

Thanks Boodle and Merk for more insight into the whole BBT thing - had no idea about the two surges, and I know the whole 'implantation dip' thing often happens whether or not you are pg Hmm So I think it is best I stop trying to figure out what every little shift could mean - esp as a few times a night I have to roll my husband onto his side to try and quieten his snores! and all the shouting, shoving and pinching Blush that is required to get him to stir is probably not helping with the accuracy of my temps anyway! testing, testing

Happy I'd be Envy too, what was said to your MIL? My SIL is pg with her second now (and we started TTC before they started their 1st, grr) and we are running out of excuses to tell MIL. She would love to see my husband a father - the worst thing is, she was diagnosed with lung cancer earlier in the year (and she has never even touched a cigarette!) so we know how precious time is Sad

Glad things are more relaxed now Because, FX it has done the trick!

Hope your cycle gets sorted soon, Barking!

SidneyBristow · 03/12/2013 13:56

cherry really sorry to hear about your sister. Losing a loved one is never easy but it seems especially cruel when the person is young. I'm just really sorry Thanks take care of yourself, and of each other Thanks

barking and lady have your drs told you what you can expect cycle-wise, how long this wonkiness will go on? it must be so frustrating; things need to get back to normal asap!!

Because I'm 4dpo and only wish I had a random sign to use as encouragement; every 2ww I'm fine during the first 7 days but the second week just drags. am determined to not get too attached to any hope and just focus on enjoying the holidays & getting on course with the IVF clinic. not really sure that's entirely possible though!!

anyone else getting mildly depressed by having to Christmas shop for little ones in the family? or am I the only one? Confused

Gillster · 03/12/2013 09:47

Barking maybe your cycle has gone a bit squiffy due to stress with work etc. my cycles went a little crazy last year when we moved house. Also maybe your low BMI is playing havoc with your sex hormones? Gaining a few pounds may help regulate this? I'm trying not to think about your EWCM being all over the place! Blush

Because I always get uber sensitive nips about 3 days after a positive OV. In my mind it means that I've ovulated but who knows!

BecauseIsaidS0 · 03/12/2013 08:15

Morning ladies,

I've been MIA because I felt I was turning into a right nutcase about this conception business so decided to just relax and not quite stop trying, but just leave it to chance I guess, for a while. It certainly has resulted in us being more relaxed and going back to focusing on each other rather than a potential baby.

This month I actually think we timed the DTD rather well, with OV on dc14. I am now 3dpo and have mild cramps and very sore nips so it could have worked, but I know that I'm a symptom chaser so I'm just going to try to relax and see what happens.

barkingtreefrog · 02/12/2013 22:19

I've had the opposite lady, ewcm all over the place, far too early to make sense and not remotely lining up with my one positive opk!! Crazy!!
