How can you stop being broody please help!!!

Im a regular but im changing my name for this. The thing is im broody but have enough on my plate (dh and kids and work etc) and no more room in my house for a lo. i keep looking on Mothercare website! And at the maternity clothes in next! And ive a couple of friends who are due in a couple of months. I need advice or help to quit feeling this way!

well, I have 5 kids now and tbh would have another if I could. But I won't - am too old now and each pregnancy has given me worse and worse hyperemesis. Having my last baby has left me with liver problems because of the vomiting and I need dental work because the enamel was worn off my teeth because I vomited so much (sorry if tmi).

But I really would do it again....

I think having another baby is the only way to get rid of persistant deep seated broodiness - otherwise it bubbles under and comes back again and again. sorry if this is not what you want to hear - but now i have all the children i want i only have very brief 'arhh' moments over newborns - and don't envy pregnant women at all.

I'd love to know how to stop feeling broody.

I have 3 and always wanted 4, but am in no position to have a 4th as me and dp have just got back together and things are still very rocky and I was advised not to have any more after my last too, but try as I might I can't stop the broodyness.

Drives me quite nuts at times.

same boat... DS is 4 months and all I want is a little brother or sister for him. Super-broody... im in near tears im so desperate for more!

I'm still broody too. Now i have sympathy for these mad women you see on TV with 12 kids. Only thing is i hate all the pregnancy and birth bit......

I'd like to know too.
After having dd2 I hoped I'd find peace, but now she's 20 months I'm already thinking about another one...sometimes I wonder, will I ever stop being broody, or at some point motehr nature will (thankfully) put a stop to this????

Hi snowedunder, you are definitely not alone! I often feel very broody, so I just try to think of all the sleepless nights etc and how I would cope with another little one with the two that I've already got (DS1 is 5, DS2 is almost 14 months), and this puts me off for a very short while as I then think 'well the sleepless nights don't last that long and crappy nappies don't bother me'
