Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

Swede, they can be early symptoms. As can yours, Monster. Are you going to have a POAS party at the weekend?!

Swede, I had that desperation too, as I'm no spring chicken, fertility wise. And DH is also a few years younger than me! He did kind of get where I was coming from though.

Third cycle is lucky here as both me and ATruth are third cycle successes. :-)

Good luck both of you.

SwedeAway · 11/12/2013 10:32

Monster - I know how you feel and I am also glad we are in the same place. Waiting waiting. I WILL not POAS until Friday or Saturday (if AF hasn't arrived that is). Your symptoms does sound positive though. I have none at the moment, only aching ovaries and nausea, none of which are pg symtoms I guess as its too early.

Monstersaurus · 11/12/2013 10:18

Ladies, I need you to sit on my hands! I've started needing to pee all of the time, have a snuffly nose and 9:30 has become bedtime. I'm hoping that all of this is not spectacularly in my head and wishful thinking. I can't POAS until the weekend and still anticipate AF to rear her lovely head. Grrr. Swede, it is great to know that you're in the same place just now.

It doesn't help that the entire world seems to be pregnant. I've now had about 3 conversations about hiding alcohol avoidance in the early stages, whilst trying to hide me doing precisely that. (All about other people, not instigated by suspicious friends/relatives I hope).

Lucy, good luck with the new job. (And a BFP in January to boot).
Engels, hope your DH was in a better mood last night.
Kt - fingers crossed that this is your cycle.
Hungry - may your midwife appointment reach you soon. It is very exciting.
Enjoy your wine Utopian.

Apologies to anyone I've missed.

SwedeAway · 11/12/2013 10:15

Hungry - Its only 3rd month of ttc for me so I know I am being impatient but time is not on my side (not getting any younger) so I guess it makes me more desperate. DH dont really understand as he is some years younger than me. I know he really wants a second one but he is not as desperate as me Sad

HungryHorace · 11/12/2013 09:35

Lucy, good luck with the job application. :-)

And I agree that when you're TTC there's suddenly pregnancy bloody everywhere. I really hope this thread continues to be lucky sooner rather than later for everyone still waiting.

Swede, I'm sorry you're feeling down about it too. Which cycle are you on again? I hope AF stays away.

Better, I can tell I'm tired as I'm sleeping through DD waking at night and DH getting up to see to her / put her blankets back on. I'm a bad mum! I'm really struggling to be awake at night to feed her when I do wake too.

I'm also not a day napper like you. I haven't started yet either but I may well do.

Still no midwife appt here. I'll chase after today's post if it's still not here.

I've not really got too many symptoms yet, just a few aches and stretching pains mostly.

ATruth, have you told anyone yet? Have you now gone past AF being due?

OP posts:
BetterNotBitter · 11/12/2013 08:20

Oooh lucy a new job, how come? Similar to what you do now? How exciting!

engels hope your husband felt more like it last night! When is your hospital appointment?

kt I know! when you're trying you notice everything don't you! there even seems to be more baby adverts on TV & everything :( how old is your ds? My little girl is almost 2, she's having the occasional (but unbelievably huge) tantrum when things don't go her way but the main challenge with her at the moment is her stranger anxiety. She's also quite hard to keep entertained on the days were in the house most of the day but I think her christmas/birthday toys will sort that out.

mrs I'm ok thanks! haven't had the terrible sickness that I has with #1 yet but it's still early days, I didn't get it last time until about 9 weeks.....that will be right on christmas....! The thing that's getting me this time is the tiredness, it's insanely bad on a morning. Last time I was abit more shattered after work on a night & maybe going to bed earlier but this time it's like nothing I've ever known. I've never ever slept in the day, even when little miss was a tiny and up all night but this last week I've literally been clock watching for her naptime so I can get an hours sleep. In the afternoons & evenings I'm not so bad but on a morning I feel like I need to hold my eyes open!

SwedeAway · 11/12/2013 05:03

Kt - Still here but not feeling pa. My ovaries have been hurting a lot, especially last night. Think AF may be on its way...Feeling nauseous, have felt nauseous all week and getting a bit tired of it. So many signs but in the end I think they may be self induced or something because I just dont feel pg. Trying to wait out the week as AF should arrive on Friday. I hate the waiting!!!

Lucyjojo · 10/12/2013 23:34

Thanks ladies. Chin up and keep going ey. Just applied for a new job so hopefully that will be enough to distract me and hopefully have fate work in a funny way and get me a BFP and a new job in the new year....
Engels sorry you didn't get to DTD, hope you've had more look tonight!
Hello to everyone else, will sit down tomorrow and read through and reply properly, off to bed now xx

Kt1991 · 10/12/2013 21:43

I just realised I missed the last page just caught up on that now lol. Get that santa hat on now engels! Hope he’s in the mood tonight!

Kt1991 · 10/12/2013 21:40

Hi lucy I’m not doing too bad thank you- thanks for asking, AF has gone now so back to DTD when we can! I felt like you at the weekend though, only nipped into Tescos, and saw at least 2/3 pregnant people , plus about 5 mums with new babies! I wanted to get out of there quick cause I felt myself welling up. Also find it hard at work serving patients on reception when I see the pregnant ladies. But DS has been very hard work recently has such a temper and very naughty at the moment, so I am kind of glad l’m not pregnant in a way yet cause I don’t think I would have the energy to chase him around or deal with it lol. It will happen soon though. Agree with hungry will be good to get one in January onwards, hopefully it disappeared too!
Swede how you doing? Have you still got the cramps?

Atruth Congrats to you officially on here, I’ve only said it on Facebook I think!

Sorry to anyone else I missed, hope your all doing well!

mrsm22 · 10/12/2013 20:58

Hi Calling - you'll have to get your Santa hat on and try seduce your DH. Aren't men hopeless?!

CallingAllEngels · 10/12/2013 20:35

Well, no dtd last night. DH wasn't in the mood He's on ADs whihc makes me feeling like I'm some raging nymphomaniac trying to seduce him all the time! Will do another opk shortly and put on my best sex kitten face...or maybe a santa hat Xmas Grin

DS is 26mo and 'spirited' (as one of my colleagues so politely put it!)

mrsm22 · 10/12/2013 16:16

Hello everyone, how are you all today?
Lucy - sorry you're feeling a bit down. I think it gets to everyone when TTC but then before you know it or when you least expect it, you'll find out that you are pregnant. I have every hope that it will happen soon for you. Slowly everyone on our thread is or has for the BFP's we all want so don't be too down. For now just concentrate on the beautiful baby you do have. x
Hi Better - how are you? I'm 13 weeks and 4 days today. Still feeling very tired. Knaresborough and Harrogate are both nice places. The Xmas fayre was ok, it wasn't great actually in terms of things to buy but it was still a nice day out and DS got to meet Santa x

BetterNotBitter · 10/12/2013 08:18

Wow donnas 14 weeks already, that's flown over. How were the birthday parties? How big is your bump now?

Sorry to hear about your problems with your sister mrs, it's horrible because family problems like that are never far from your mind. Ah knarseborough is nice! I used to live down near Leeds and used to go to Harrogate etc quite regularly. Did you have any luck with the stocking fillers?

BetterNotBitter · 10/12/2013 08:13

Wow, lots to catch up on!

atruth hurrah!! Congratulations!!

lucy I'm sorry you're feeling down about it, have you told any of your. Friends or family that you're TTC?

engels I agree with hungry & atruth, what does your husband think? How old is you little boy? My LO will be 2 next month and the tantrums are beginning....!

SwedeAway · 10/12/2013 07:25

Sitting at desk, staring out the window, hoping that time will pass just a little bit quicker. So down about my BFN yesterday but I am hoping I just tested to early. No symptoms today at all but at least no sign of AF despite the cramps yesterday so I guess that is a good sign.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 09/12/2013 22:13

Seconded. Dtd. Now. Don't let us see you round here again until you have done so.

HungryHorace · 09/12/2013 22:12

Engels. Get DTD. That's an order!

And how lovely of your DS. :-)

OP posts:
CallingAllEngels · 09/12/2013 20:48

Okay, last consecutive post!

Did an opk and got a very faint line. Happened last time (Sept) but I waited for a strong line, we DTD a few times over the next 48 hours and got pg.

But don't have hospital check till Friday!

Aargh! Know I should wait but don't want to miss the window!

CallingAllEngels · 09/12/2013 20:46

And how fucking ironic - the ad to the side of the page os for FR pg tests!

CallingAllEngels · 09/12/2013 20:46

And DH and I are joking about DS being the best contraceptive ever. As well as crawling into our bed every night, do you know what the little blighter did this afternoon?

He refiued to nap and was howling, "Mama!" in his room. When I went up after 20 mins I found that he'd taken off his PJ bottoms, tried to pull his nappy off but couldn't undo his romper. Shit on the floor and his hands....a lovely image to make me grateful I don't have morning sickness right now!

CallingAllEngels · 09/12/2013 20:43

Lucy I know it's shit. Everywhere I look - news, magazines, facebook, work - everyone's up the duff or having babies! In the last two days my cousin's posted a bump pic on fb (I was pg when my mum told me about her pg and was itchign to tell her but didn't then mc a week later) and yesterday an old friend posted a pic of her 2nd newborn boy.

All we can do is keep putting one foot in front of the other. And wine. Lots of wine (though I have a beer in my hand right now Xmas Grin ). All we can do is to just keep living and try not to let ttc take over our lives.

It took us so long to get pg with DS (18 months) and I let it rule my life - stopping doing things or organising stuff (like long haul holidays or signing up for runs) just in case I got pg. This time I'm trying not to do that, especially with DS. I don't want to look back on his toddler years and just remember being obsessed with ttc. (even though he is driving me NUTS at the moment).

Sending you a bug hug.

utopian99 · 09/12/2013 19:55

Ooh also mega congratulations to a truth!

utopian99 · 09/12/2013 19:53

Hi Lucy, been awol due to life in general, nothing to report. I'm getting a bit like you, there are mums at O's toddler group with bumps or newborns and a smaller gap than O will have even if we manage now. I know that a few more months makes little difference to older siblings I just had it in my head to have 3 under 5 (why, I hear more sensible people gasp) and now I'm worried there will be years between them.

Massive over reaction I know. I'm with you in the Wine tthough. At least we get to enjoy Christmas! and at this rate ibiza group holiday next year, so not all bad

SwedeAway · 09/12/2013 18:28

Going to try to be strong and hold out until at least Wed. Still have the pain but still not sure if its a good sign or just AF making an early appearance.

Going to bed now. (8.30pmBlush). Had a really busy evening with my DD so totally shattered.
