Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

Swede and Monster I am very impressed by your restraint!!

I went looking at how cheap FRERs are in Home Bargains earlier, not too bad but it says from 4 days pre AF, I was hoping for more like 10 days....I was thinking about testing on monday as it is our work christmas party and I would like to drink lots of wine Grin but AF isn't due until the following sat, so potentially a waste of time!
Yes Hungry just for fun this month Blush but only twice so far this month, and about as far away from ov either side as you can get so it's not likely I'm pg. I agree with Mrs, you should book yourself in for an early scan and get your worries settled. I didn't feel pg for a while either with DD, such a strange feeling knowing you are but not feeling anything. Can't remember when the nausea hit, think it was the tiredness that got me first.
Hi Mrs, nice to hear from you again. Can't believe how quickly it is going for you!! Very exciting about 20wk scan!! Has DS said anything to you yet? It is very infrequent I think midwife visits second time around, only about 5 visits in our area I think and the 2 scans! Good news about your results.
We have got a real tree. It looks so sparse and a bit pathetic compared to my mums fake one, but I just love a real tree. We have had ours up since 1st dec!! I am so excited for xmas this year, been wrapping some pressies tonight with xmas tunes on.
Right I am off to watch One Born, don't know why I do it to myself but I can't stop watching it!!!

Monstersaurus · 12/12/2013 19:31

How is your will power holding up Swede? I got as far as looking at my test(s) this evening before talking myself out of it. Hope AF stays away for you.

Mrs, great news about the downs screening. I think you hardly see the midwife the second time round.

How did you get on with your surgery today Better?

We have a real tree, which went up on Monday. DS is suprisingly good at not removing the baubles (or baw-balls as he calls them). Given half a chance they would probably be off though. Cats would be a whole different story I suspect...

mrsm22 · 12/12/2013 16:48

Hi everyone, sorry i haven't been on much lately. I just wanted to say a quik hello and hope that everyone is ok. I finish work for xmas next friday, a week tomorrow (yay) and am then off until 8th Jan! I can't wait!
Hungry - Glad you have got your midwife appointment, that's not too long to wait. Is it your 12 week scan on 27th Jan? I have my 20 week scan the day after, on 28th Jan. It is a pain waiting that long if you are impatient. Why don't you treat yourselves to a private one, if you can spare the cash, it could be an xmas gift for you and your DH from each other?! The good news is that i got the results today for the down syndrome screening and we are low risk, so I am very pleased about that? I see the midwife next weds (only the second time I will have seen her) and that's to discuss my 12 week scan I guess and get my blood results. I hope everything is fine with the bloods (you can't help but worry), but i am sure you don't see the midwife half as much secone time around. I seem to remember seeing the midwife a lot more last time. Anyway, how is everyone? I just want it to be xmas now already. We are getting our xmas tree on sunday, and i'm looking forward to getting DS to help decorate it. Does everyone have a tree yet? We are going for a real one, which should be lots of fun with DS and two excited cats.
Swede - Think you should poas and put yourself out of the misery. Good luck.

Windywinston · 12/12/2013 15:15

Attempts backflip. Fails miserably and puts back out. Video goes viral.

POAS!

HungryHorace · 12/12/2013 15:06

Waves pom poms while Windy chants!

POAS, POAS, POAS!!!!!
Sorry I'm not helping am I?
I'm bored on a train and I need some excitement. Sorry xx

HungryHorace · 12/12/2013 13:41

What time does AF normally start, Swede? Keeping my fingers crossed.

OP posts:
SwedeAway · 12/12/2013 12:48

I've got a test in my car. I keep looking at it every time I get into the car. If no AF by tomorrow I am POAS.

HungryHorace · 12/12/2013 12:27

I think you should definitely POAS tomorrow morning Swede.

I think you must be right, Lucy, though after I've been up a few hours I don't feel at all pregnant. It's worrying.

I've got my flu jab this afternoon. Fun!

Have you not DTD at all Lucy? Or just had fun? You could still be pregnant if it's the latter!

SwedeAway · 12/12/2013 12:13

Going on Hungry's calculations I am 12dpo today. Trying to hold out until tomorrow. Cant decide what this bloated aching feeling is (is it AF or is it good news). AF is due tomorrow and I am usually bang on time so that is why I want to wait until at least tomorrow morning. Desperate to POAS but trying to hold out.

Lucyjojo · 12/12/2013 12:06

Swede, how many dpo are you? Go on poas! Do it! Hungry i think everyone has different symptoms, wouldnt necessarily have to be a metallic taste. Soapy doesmt sound very pleasant though! I am feeling a bit sick today. Why am i SS when i havent even been ttc this month!?

SwedeAway · 12/12/2013 10:29

I am so bloated today. Full of wind (sorry TMI) and have to pee constantly.

Monster - I am definitely keeping fingers crossed for you to be able to add your BFP to the Xmas stocking this year!

AF stay away or else!!!

HungryHorace · 12/12/2013 08:52

Well, I think you should both POAS tomorrow please. I'm hopeful for both of you!

It does seem ages away, Monster. Feeling queasy today with a yucky taste in my mouth. Kind of soapy. Isn't it meant to be metallic? Maybe I'm crap at discerning tastes?!

OP posts:
Monstersaurus · 12/12/2013 08:01

Swede, it is so hard knowing what is normal for us but we just don't notice in a cycle when not TTC. Fingers remain well and truly crossed for you. Let's have words with AF to stay away this month and leave a bfp under the tree instead.

Hungry, your scan seems ages away. May it come round quickly.

SwedeAway · 12/12/2013 05:03

Monster - My aim is to POAS tomorrow (or Saturday). I think AF is on her way though as I am super bloated and my ovaries are hurting. As I said in a previous post, I don't usually have any pain before/during AF (and my AF never lasts longer than 2-3 days). This time is different and I think it is because I am so attentive to any kind of feeling in my body. So I have concluded that I am probably feeling exactly as I do every month, its just that I usually do not pay any attention to it.

So, AF is due tomorrow but if for some strange reason she does not pay me a visit I will POAS either tomorrow or Saturday.

HungryHorace · 11/12/2013 21:28

It wasn't hideous sickness, but I was sick every morning, often more than once, and felt sick all day too, from weeks 7-16 weeks. It was reassuringly bad!

I'm not sure about my career change. My mat pay would end mid Feb, so I'd need to find something by then. But maybe not a career. I think I'd just prefer a job! Something I can leave in the office.

You book in early, Better. I'm sure it probably is just iron or something simple.

I'm getting neurotic about the pregnancy already. :-/ I'm now thinking about ectopic. It's daft as I don't have any symptoms, I'm just paranoid. Sigh!

OP posts:
BetterNotBitter · 11/12/2013 21:16

Did you get bad sickness last time hungry? What career change are you thinking of? How soon are you thinking of going back after number 2?

Oooh monster not long till you can poas!! How are you feeling? If it helps, I didnt feel remotely pregnant until at least a week after I missed my period, and even then it wasnt that much!

Re the doctors, I'm not sure what they could want, I've had my booking in appt, next the scan which is coming from hospital & not gp. Next appt with midwife isnt until 16 weeks, so 9 weeks away.

They did blood tests & a water sample last time I was there.

Hoping theyre just going to say something simple like maybe I need some iron (I have a history of anaemia & it would explain the extreme tiredness) or that I need to go and pick up my handheld notes. Hopefully I can stay rational when it comes to bedtime as its usually then my mind starts to be silly.... I suspect my night may consist of trying to play out scenarios where they tell me I'm not actually pregnant or something! Oh the joy.

Monstersaurus · 11/12/2013 18:25

Lucy, I'm on cycle #2 which is when we conceived DS. AF is due on Sat or Sun. I don't use OPKs and haven't really counted days since I had OV pains, but I think I'm now about 12 DPO (possibly, could be more like 10, it transpires I'm a bit rubbish at this Xmas Blush ).

Better, hope you can relax tonight and not worry too much about the surgery. Could it be the midwife arranging an appointment?

I'm impressed that you can manage those commutes. Some mornings I struggle with my 20 minutes! Hope you get the new job Lucy. Career change sounds exciting.

HungryHorace · 11/12/2013 18:08

Better, we are going to decide after Christmas about the private scan. Apart from ligament stretching I'm still not feeling amazingly pregnant right now so I'd rather book once I do feel sick as a dog pregnant!

What could your GP surgery want? Have you had any tests done already? I wouldn't have thought they'd know anything which could be bad news would they? I'm sure it's fine.

I'm probably going to change career after number 2 too. My commute is 90 mins each way. :-/

OP posts:
BetterNotBitter · 11/12/2013 17:48

Wow lucy 3 girls under 4 sounds like a handful! How long are they visiting you for? I know what you mean re commute, in my old job, when I lived near Leeds I lived 6miles from work but in rush hour it used to take me over an hour to get there. I'm going for a new career direction once all babies are done too.

At least you know when everything is going to be now hungry are you thinking seriously about a private scan? I've just got home to a message on the answering machine from a lady at my gp surgery asking me to ring them in the morning, I'm sure it's nothing major but it's going to bug me all night I bet. Can't help thinking bad things :( gosh, pregnancy is such a worrying time.

HungryHorace · 11/12/2013 15:35

I was thinking that about you Lucy that it's now cycle 3 after the accidental lube incidents of the first 3. You'll get there!

I just rang the hospital and my booking in appt is 9th Jan and my scan 27th. I may be booking a private scan now! Looks like they've used the first day of spotting as my LMP, which it wasn't. But the scan is there for dating, so we shall go from there!

Lucyjojo · 11/12/2013 14:38

Hi everyone. I am putting off doing an obscene amount of housework by chatting to you lot. I did say I would reply properly today though! My DB and his family are coming to stay this weekend, so would like the house in some sort of order before it gets trashed in 3 seconds by 3 girls under 4.
Good luck to you both Monster and Swede, another POAS party, how exciting!! What cycle are you on Monster? 3 is a lucky number isn't it.I suppose if you think about it I am on cycle 3, as this is my 6month of trying but the first 3 didn't really count did they. I'm actually starting to forget a bit where I am up to!
Hungry I hope you get your app soon. this bit of waiting is horrible, it's so strange to feel pg when you haven't seen or told any 'professionals' yet! You are not a bad mum for not getting up at night, I think it's a good job for DH to do, he's going to be doing lots of it soon enough! You are being a wonderful mum as you should be getting plenty of rest for DC2!!
ATruth how are you feeling? Yes, when would your AF be due?
Kt I know what you mean about your DS, DD is being an absolute exhausting monster at the mo, love her to bits but boy is she a handful. cannot imagine being early pregnant, or even heavily pregnant right now with her. I like your positivity, it will happen soon enough for us.
Better the new job is almost exactly the same as what I do now, same days a week, just much closer to home. I drive 45 min each way to get to work and it is such a long way. Ideally I'd like to change, or start, a career, but I'm not sure whether to bite the bullet and go for it whilst waiting for a BFP, I was going to go for it after having 2DC but as there seems to be some delay I am getting a bit fed up of doing uninspiring work.
utopian I too am the same as you, I had it in my head I'd have 3 by the time I'm 30, I'm 27.5 now, so I'm going to have to be quick!!
Sorry I didn't respond to the posts about your sis Mrs, have you made a decision about the party yet? Families are so hard aren't they. If you don't get along it's hard to keep a relationship, but then it's a shame to not have a relationship because you only get one family and it's nice to be close to family Confused.
Gosh what a rant, sorry if I missed anyone out...

HungryHorace · 11/12/2013 14:16

How many DPO are you Monster?

I think Friday is a good day for both of you to POAS!

Swede, you're not out yet, don't feel despondent.

OP posts:
Monstersaurus · 11/12/2013 13:28

I should wait until Sunday, but we're visiting relatives this weekend so I will probably give in to temptation and POAS on Friday (on the basis that a BFN may not be a BFN but a BFP would be amazing). AF may well arrive before that and preempt my POAS fun.

Swede, it is really hard to remain positive. Today I feel very much like AF is going to arrive imminently. Fingers well and truly crossed for you.

SwedeAway · 11/12/2013 11:33

Thanks Hungry. I am trying to stay positive but its getting difficult.

Monster - What day are you thinking of POAS?
