Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

Thank you donnas. Hoping that it will keep being a lucky thread. Just nice to read and talk to others in the same position. Not too keen to talk to family and friends about ttc (failure is not something I deal with very well) and as I said before I am very impatient.

HungryHorace · 19/11/2013 08:37

Hi Swede, welcome! :-)

Mrs, that's great about your scan. Fantastic news. DD's EDD was 20th June, so your baby will have a birthday near to hers. :-)

Your manager isn't allowed to tell anyone, so don't worry about that. And if work know you'll get appointments from work off without having to repay the hours.

Toothpaste, lovely re the close EDDs, though with twins I imagine your sister will go no later than 37 weeks. You'll still be lovely and close and the same school year though. Do you live near to each other?

Second morning of nausea for me. My body loves playing tricks on me. I feel more pregnant than not pregnant; it's so cruel. :-(

Hope everyone else and your DCs are well.

mrs hope everything went ok last night thought we would have heard from you by now... hope I'm and worrying for you unnecessarily xxx

mrsm22 · 19/11/2013 08:23

Good morning ladies!
Sorry I didn't come on last night after my scan, they were running late and then had to go get DS from mum and dads and get him to bed etc and was tired myself. It was really good and well worth the money, Hungry you were right. Got to see baby with two arms and legs on a big screen, baby was sleeping so had to move about to try get baby moving. Heard the heartbeat, which was really nice and the lady confirmed I am exactly 10 weeks yesterday so by the time I go for my 12 week scan I will be 12 weeks and one day! All of my baby's measurements were good and correct for this stage and all looks good so far. So fingers crossed it stays that way. We got to see baby attached by placenta and she checked my ovaries are ok too. I'm so glad I went. Oh my due date has changed slightly from 6th June to 16th June!
I am considering ringing my manager today in confidence to tell her that I am 10 weeks but I want her to not tell the rest of the team. Do you think she will do this? Just because of how tired I am and in case I ring in sick at any time, at least she would understand. I don't work until weds but am unlikely to see her tomorrow. What do you think?
How's everyone else?
Kt - how are you today and your DS ?
Swede - Hello and big welcome! Of course you can join us.
Toothpaste - gosh your due dates are so close. How lovely that your sis is having twins.

SwedeAway · 19/11/2013 05:00

Hi everyone,
May I join this thread? Have just started ttc (second month) and feeling rather impatient about it:( We have one DD (3 years old) and so this is trying for our second one. Rather new to ttc though as last time it just kind of happened. Trying to chart etc but still unsure if I am doing it right. How is everyone else doing?

Toothpastekissesno2 · 18/11/2013 21:56

I know thT would be crazy!! I don't expect I will be having twins but would be happy to have one healthy one. Her due date is 7 July and my (secret) one is 5 July. All being well we will drop the extra bomb shell at Christmas. It would be tough if something goes wrong for either with it being so parallel but staying positive (as dh keeps reminding me) x

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 18/11/2013 21:54

Oh toothpaste. That's brilliant x

donnas1984 · 18/11/2013 21:41

toothpaste wow how exciting she must be over the moon! did they give her a due date? imagine you were having twins also how amazing would that be! glad everything went well for her Grin xx

HungryHorace · 18/11/2013 21:37

Wow! How exciting for your sister, Toothpaste. :-)

I'm sure your bean is fine. Imagine if you had two as well!

Toothpastekissesno2 · 18/11/2013 20:44

Ruth congrats!! Yay to the next bfp. I feel we are due another roll! And yes completely allowed to feel freaked! It's a big thing having no 2. I feel it goes from being a cpl with a baby to a proper family. Very grown up!
I've had exciting news today. My sis has been scanned and it's twins!! Can't believe it. They put two in (ivf) but didn't really expect it. She is in shock! I am over the moon for her. I am just hoping my magic bean is ok.
Mrs - can't wait to hear about the scan.
Kt - feel better soon

HungryHorace · 18/11/2013 19:39

Mrs?! How was it?

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 18/11/2013 17:12

Not long now, mrs! Exciting.

Sorry your DS isn't well, Kt. :-( I hope you feel better soon too.

Not much to report here today. No positive OPK or HPT! EOD DTD is being done though. :-)

Kt1991 · 18/11/2013 16:11

thanks mrs and donna nope not pregnant yet, only just ovulating, wish I was though so I Could of avoided 3 separate people asking me if there was something they should know! donna* yes have family living in same block of flats as us thankfully, and MIL 2mins up the road, but as I was only sick twice in the end, have kept DS back from nursery were he’s still ill and thankfully he stayed in bed with me most of the day, which is so not like DS! So didn’t want to bother them.
Yep I think your right about the being sick in labour mrs mine was a mixture of no food all day, the heat from the birthing pool and then amount of gas and air I had lol. A home birth would be lovely, I expect you would feel more relaxed in the own comfort of your home. Hope you get to! Sorry I can’t remember how many drinks you need to have, I just remember I had to drink a bit more cause mine wasn’t full enough! Make sure you come on soon after to update us Smile donna good news about your apt, are you getting excited? only a couple of weeks to go. Smile
lelly thats the way to be, I’ve read so many stories where people aren’t actively trying, or trying not to think about (which is really hard!) and then they conceive, whens your AF due?

mrsm22 · 18/11/2013 14:32

Thanks Donna. Good news about your appointment x

donnas1984 · 18/11/2013 11:30

Lelly keeping my fingers crossed for you, perhaps by not being so focused this month will have helped you relax and get a positive resultWink
kt hope you feel better soon do you have family close by to help out while your poorly?
mrs good luck with your scan tonight Im so excited for you!
I called my mw dept to check the wording on my scan and be it seems to be a new combined scan instead of having a dating scan then a further downs screening appointment. I just tell them I dont want the nuchal screening when I go in at it will be a normal dating scan! I was worried that I would have to cancel and wait for a new date but phew I don't!

mrsm22 · 18/11/2013 10:21

Lelly - do you mind me asking what you do in school? Are you a teacher or something different? I would quite like to work in a school once my kids are at school, maybe in the office or something.

mrsm22 · 18/11/2013 10:18

Hi everyone, sorry I didn't come on here last night . Firstly big congratulations to Ruth! That's wonderful news , you must be over the moon. Looks like a few June and July babies then so far. Hopefully everyone else will follow you shortly. x
Hi Kt - Really sorry that you're not well and that your FS isn't either. Is it definitely a bug and there's not a chance you might be pregnant? I'm the same as you, I have a real phobia of being sick, so bad that I can't even bare anyone else to be sick, to hear it or see it or anything. Like you, I was not sick at all when pregnant with my DS and so far none this time. I've hear quite a few people are sick in labour, I wonder why or what it is? I do remember feeling sick in labour at the end but I think it was due to no food and being so hungry and exhausted and also the hormone drop plus epidural? I don't know if I mentioned this but I plan to have a home birth with no pain relief. The midwife was really for it too. I really wanted to with my DS but DH was worried so this time I'm going for it, unless of course any complications arise during pregnancy and I'm advised not to. I hope you feel better soon Kt, it's hard when you've to look after yourself and a little one . Thank you for wishing well for the scan tonight . Do you know, I'm so nervous. I feel sick with nerves and excitement but I'm scared of being excited in case anything turns out to be wrong. It's at 6.40 so early tea for us and dropping DS at my mum and dads on the way. Must remember the full bladder. Does anyone know how many glasses of water I need to drink beforehand?
I hope everyone else is ok and had a good weekend. Keep in touch Ruth.

Kt1991 · 18/11/2013 08:26

Morning everyone, well no work for me today got up after a crap night sleep as DS is really unwell and have been sick twice Sad at first thought it was the roast dinner my family and I all went out for yesterday but I'm the only one that's said they've been sick or felt unwell so looks like a bug. I do not cope well with sick at all though! I was thankful that when I was pregnant with DS I was never sick throughout the pregnancy just in labour. So hoping next time will be the same! Good luck for your scan today mrs!

lelly78 · 18/11/2013 06:28

Congrats Ruth, not surprised you are a bit freaked out it was so quick but it will be great. All you lucky ladies with scans are making me jealous Grin Hope to join you soon!

I might have ov'd this weekend, I should have but not much ewcm, we have dtd a couple of times so will hope for the best... Not feeling very positive though Envy keep trying to tell myself it will happen when it is meant too...
Hope you all have a lovely day, I work in a school and plan to go very part time after no 2...partly why I am so keen to get pg ASAP!

donnas1984 · 17/11/2013 20:53

Yay Ruth! Massive congratulations on your bfp! I felt the same as you I was 23 months ttc dd and fell 1st month with this one Smile hope you keep well and stay in touch xx

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 17/11/2013 20:46

You're growing a tiny human being... you're perfectly entitled to freak out as much as you like Grin

TheBookofRuth · 17/11/2013 20:38

Thank you everyone! Is it ok that I'm freaking out a bit?! I had honestly expected it to take months (and months and months...) and I now find myself going "oh god, am I really ready for another baby? I've only just worked out the one I've got!"

Kt1991 · 17/11/2013 20:14

Congratulations BOR! Smile Please send the good luck this way!

lucyjojo · 17/11/2013 20:11

Evening all, just checking in quickly to say hello before I took into my sunday dinner! Just got back from seeing my besties last night, we went out and had some drinks and a girly chat, just what I needed, but feeling a bit hungover today! So maybe/ maybe not this will be my month. Managed a quick dtd yesterday morning before I left, and can't really be arsed tonight, will probably leave it til tomorrow night now, so that will only make one dtd at peak ovulation, hopefully that will be enough??
Big congratulations Ruth!!!!! What a lovely age gap and due date for you too. we finally got a bfp on this thread, lets hope this is the first of 6!!!! Hope everyone else has had a nice weekend, will catch up properly tomorrow x
