Our brand spanking new thread full of luck, baby dust, BFPs and a few choice swear words.

The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Penguin, errr, no. That is staggeringly insensitive and frankly shows a real lack of understanding. Loss of pregnancy = better than being puked on by a baby?!?!
I know family/friends don't wish to upset but to be honest if any of mine said something as flippant as that I'd be telling them what I thought!

Hope you enjoy your baby cuddles without any silly comments Penguin :-)

Sal1977 · 24/12/2013 12:09

It's soo annoying isn't it!!! I feel like saying something hideous like "better to have a puking baby than 4 dead ones" or "want me to call social services if you're not keen on having your kids, I'm sure there are people out there who would love to have them". That's my dark side that I try my hardest to keep under wraps!

Sorry about impending AF sal Sad No worries about swearing. You should have heard me this morning when I got another false positive.

I am with all those indulging over Christmas. Looking forward to cuddles with baby nephew number 10 but hoping my sis with 2 kids doesn't come out with any more clangers like saying after ds puked on her shoulder 'see, you thought what happened was a bad thing' It's not just me who finds that shocking, right?

Parsley2506 · 24/12/2013 11:27

Go away for a couple of days and return to all your #2 escapades! Sal, garden?!?!? Hahah!
Cam, there's a book on Amazon called 'how to poo at work', perhaps a copy of that might assist? Wink
I am an expert in the art of speed pooing when at work. In and out before anyone realises, but helps we have multiple loos in separate cubicles with windows and air freshener!

Rest of hol was great, ruddy enormous storm and all. Power cut last night, we were huddled in bed with a bottle of vino in pitch black with rain & wind howling through the balcony doors that didn't close properly!
Sal, we were actually at the giant chalk cock ourselves on Sunday. Apparently if you go at night you sometimes see people DTD actually ON it!

Booze, soft cheese and pate/exotic ears galore for me this week, then it's ttc HARD.
Back on the agnus castus and chucked in some evening primrose too along with the usual vitamins. I cannot wait another 18 months for a BFP, I will die.

Penguin, so sorry to hear your story but glad you found this thread! It's a good place to be.

Happy Xmas and POSIFRICKINTIVITY to all!!!

Sal1977 · 24/12/2013 10:44

Started spotting here, so I'll be unwrapping a gift from AF tomorrow. Ah well, fuck it, I'll get hammered on Prosecco and face plant into some Brie!! Haha

I am going into battle with this bastid TTC bullshit next cycle. All guns blazing, all tricks, old wives tales and I might even go and sit on that giant chalk cock on that hillside in that place!

Welcome Penguin sorry you are here and I apologise for the swearing....it's normally a lot worse! Grin

Hi there. Can I join you ladies? Not technically ttc again just yet as I'm waiting for my BFN after an ERPC on the 27th of Nov. I had a MMC discovered at what should have been 13 weeks and had the procedure shortly after. We're going to ttc again just as soon as we get that negative.

fedupofrainydays · 24/12/2013 08:42

After DS birth I had a a third degree tear (ie the one that goes into your bottom!) and they had to give me a cocktail of laxatives and 'softeners' to make me go. I was petrified!! I the olden days they would let you leave hospital until you had poo'd. I'd still be there now....!!!

I used to get really jealous when away travelling with friends if they could just 'go' whenever and wherever. It took me to get dysentery before I was the same... Haha!!

Anyway. Enough of poo. Went to see doctor at the hospital yesterday and she was so empathetic. Totally got my situation. She said by no means wait another 10 months to get up duffed but come and see her when stressed and / or get a scan with her at 6 weeks if pregnant. She said in the science world they are debating investigating more after 2 mc rather than waiting for 3 - I so hope they change it. Never met a doctor who understood the emotional pain of mc and when all friends are getting pregnant at drop of a hat and overall concerns / panic. In short, I feel more supported than the silly GP who said she wouldn't help me for 2 years!!!

tannyLoo · 24/12/2013 08:24

This is a whole new thread! Love it! DH thinks I'm weird cos I only like pooing in my own loo. Camping is a nightmare, I've been known to get up at 4 to ensure an uninterrupted poo... 3 or 4 days when I'm somewhere new is normal for me.

Wow, what freaks we are Grin

fedupofrainydays · 24/12/2013 08:14

I can go on holidays and not 'go' for at least 3 or 4 days. It's makes for one bloated stomach!

Camhova · 23/12/2013 19:34

In the garden?! Sal - you never fail. I took in perfume and had a little spritz around post poo.

My friend is the worst for it. Can't go anywhere bar her own home, quietly, when no one around. We spent a week in a caravan with her once only to learn later she didn't poo for an entire week.

Sal1977 · 23/12/2013 18:00

Haha..yeah me too! I take loads of cleaning products in, run the tap, have a quick one then clean the loo!! Haha

I'm paranoid about leaving an aroma behind especially as we share it with clients! I pooed in the garden once 5 minutes before showing someone round out house when we were selling it!! Haha!!

Camhova · 23/12/2013 14:05

Glad it's not just me. Had to go in the end. T'was every bit as mortifying as I imagined. I came out and I'm sure everyone knew!

tannyLoo · 23/12/2013 13:55

cam ha ha! Yep, I've been known to go home when caught short! Good luck!

Camhova · 23/12/2013 13:30

In the spirit of no such thing as tmi on the thread... Anyone else got a phobia of using the toilet at their work for a #2. I have. And I have a dodgy tummy and am panicking slightly.

Camhova · 23/12/2013 13:25

Fingers crossed Chosen. I feel this thread should have at least a couple of 2013 BFPs left in it.

Hopefully you'll be one of those 'super fertile after mc' people Fedup. This thread has seen such things before.

Thanks Seaside. I know its fab there's a treatment etc but am still a little nervy about it. I'm sure after the first 10 or so it'll be fine.

Chosenbyyou · 23/12/2013 10:47

Hello,

Sorry your mainly feeling a little down ladies...loved Sal's lessons- as I was reading that DH was reading the paper and piped up with a random fact about David Attenborough, started me off giggling lol

Well nothing going on with me, 11dpo today so af due 26th -ish.....will not be poas as I find that disappointment much harder than AF showing up. If there is nothing by NYE I will cuz of the drinks! Not hopeful at all, only dtd on day of ov and have no symptoms of anything,

I'm with you all on the 2013 in the bin.....here is to 2014 which WILL be our year ladies!!!!!

Xx

fedupofrainydays · 22/12/2013 18:26

parsley so sorry af rocked up now ok your weekend away. That sucks, even if it is getting 'the one after mc' out the way. Def enjoy the food and drinks.

cam that's sad for that couple, really sad. But good news re a plan from the rm doctor, even if its injections.

Hoping for a sept / oct baby here too but dreading months and months of ttc after mc again. Not the effort, more the heartbreak each month. I know it will hit me in the NY.

Seasides · 22/12/2013 15:42

That's awful cam, poor couple. Ikwym about IVF too, shows they've had a really tough time of it thus far.

Sorry to hear about injections, but at least there's an answer.

AF has killer timing parsley, sorry about that. I hope you still have a lovely break, and enjoy that beer.

Camhova · 22/12/2013 13:14

I'm glum. Found out SiL's DSis lost her baby at 22 weeks this week. I don't know her but just feel really gutted for her. Conceived through IVF too which feels like it makes it worse somehow. Hate 2013.

I had my appt with miscarriage Dr last week. When I get my next BFP (optimisim) I have to go on clexane and asprin. Daily injections, what fun. Am due to ovulate sometime this week (back to trusty fertility monitor so hoping for a less confusing month). Pretty please Santa.

Sorry to hear of AFs and temp drops. Feels like we haven't had much luck the last couple of weeks. Fingers crossed for some Sept/Oct babies appearing on the horizon soon.

Parsley2506 · 22/12/2013 10:37

Lounging around in our gorgeous b&b, breakfast brought to our room, perfect uninterrupted view out over the cliff to the stormy sea, what could possibly make this weekend any better??

Oh, I know. A fucking F!!! Seriously ladies, can't I just have a few days of peace and quiet? Turned up mid delicious meal at a nice pub last night, just in time for pudding. First since MC, definitely seems heavier and crampier than usual.

I suppose deep down I glad it turned up, and only a few days out from my usual 29 day cycle, but seriously, GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!

Laugh or cry, I don't really know. Off for a bracing cliff walk now, and DEFINITELY some beer!!!

Happy weekends everyone.

Seaside - don't put too much pressure on yourself. If you don't feel like being festive that is OK and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

tannyLoo · 22/12/2013 10:18

Well, the last couple of days I've had really bad pms, straight after oving. Not due for af till near NYE, so it's going to be a joyful Xmas in tanny towers Sad

I haven't had any pms since August so it's a bit of a shock to the system, and it's probably bound up with some grief for last 2 MCs, but I'm one angry bear. Bah humbug!

Seasides · 21/12/2013 18:11

At my mum's making Xmas presents. I've felt so blue for days now, I don't know how to shift it. Had her partner's funeral yesterday, nearly lost it sobbing on a couple of occasions. The worst bit is that I wasn't entirely crying for him - I'm just so tired at the moment, and depressed that I can't be fully happy again until I'm pg, which seems like it'll never happen. I don't cry very often, but in the last few days I've either cried or been trying to hold it back so many times. Grr, so unfestive! Need to pull myself together!

Glad you had a great time fedup, sounds just what you needed. Sorry about the hangover payback today though!

My sister's showing now, it's painful. She's having New Year with us, and I love seeing her but it's hard not to be spiky and jealous. Haven't been yet, but it's not the same between us just now. She's wary around me, and we can't be as open with each other as we usually are because someone will get hurt.

fedupofrainydays · 21/12/2013 13:59

We just went out in London. A girls Christmas do.
Cocktails and messiness. But fun, and not been out like that in ages! Feel utterly rancid today though.

Have a fab time in Dorset and sending you lots of luck for no tears and a great time with the family and friends xx

Parsley2506 · 21/12/2013 13:22

Where have you been fedup?

Great new about your scan tanny, very reassuring and hopefully you'll be primed and ready for that BFP in the new year!

Work party was a bit pants. I am lucky to work with some amazing people who care for me very much but it's such a young company, aside from top management I am only one considering kids so no one really gets it. They were all great tho!

Off to Dorset for a few days with DH, r&r at a gorgeous cliff side b&b before mayhem of Xmas and all my pregnant/babified family and friends. Will be first time I've seen most of them IRL since the MC - please wish me lots of 'no tears' luck please!

fedupofrainydays · 21/12/2013 11:39

Incredibly hungover. But had so much fun.
Having flashbacks of showing men pictures on my phone and getting to the pregnancy test ones! Slightly odd moment when the cb digi 'pregnant' flashed up on my phone :)
