Our brand spanking new thread full of luck, baby dust, BFPs and a few choice swear words.

The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Hello all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I've been off the radar for a bit as we finally moved at the start of December and we haven't had any internet. I've been catching up with all your news - a lot has happened!!!

Congratulations to the new bfps and welcome to the newbies.

I had my second month of 18 day cycle this month which was very odd but I had good news yesterday. I went for another scan yesterday and my ovarian cysts have resolved themselves. (I've been so busy I had missed the distinct lack I pain!) and they could also see that I am about to ovulate on my right side which is fab news as 6 weeks ago both of my ovaries were so swollen they couldn't see a thing (and it's also cd 12 for me so I should be ovulating at the right time this month rather than day 7!!).

2013 had been a shit year and it's nearly a year for me since my mc so I am definitely am hoping that 2014 is a happy and fertile year for all of us. X

Hi handsful was wondering how you were the other day. Sorry you are joining the ptcm club. I remember well the cold feeling neck after cutting off long hair in favour of a bob (or shorter)

I am still getting a bit of ptcm now and again when I have a rummage fir it Wish af would just hurry up so I could at least feel I am at the start of a new cycle iyswim. Due tomorrow so should be able to crack open the wine and champers

Sorry to hear about af on your due date missp :( same happened to me in September and it was horrid. When is the wedding? Exciting having something like that to focus on other than ttc hell.

Just tucking in to all the leftover smoked salmon. Tempted to crack open the booze as well!

Trying to catch up on all the news. Looks like lots of insensitive comments made to us very sensitive people. Not long now till we can do the 1 finger salute to 2013. Can't wait!!

Well my 2nd mc baby was due Xmas day and in its plAce I got the most evil AF - 3 days late. (was about to test) and do the cycle begins. Sorry to all other AF that have arrived.

Think we are going for SMEP this month. If we can fit it in around mad wedding stuff.

Me too, I have pink tinged cm! Shall we form a club, holly and triple? Nature is such a bitch. As if two successive m/c weren't bad enough, a monthly reminder that I'm still not pregnant seems a bit like rubbing my nose in it. Still. I can and will drink the new year in in style. 2013 can off.

penguin, it was about 2.5 weeks after erpc to get bfn then af another 2 weeks after that. I had retained products and an infection after the op, grim. I've been using my persona since, and it says I've ovulated twice since mc in October, for all the good that's done...

Parsley I now also sport a very fetching bob. I look dead professional (for me) if I don my specs and lawyer get up, I just worry about looking all business like at the weekend though. Are you getting a chilly neck?

penguin took me 2 weeks after erpc to get bfn and af two weeks later. I think it varies so much per person / per pregnancy too. Bit if you are worried, ask EPU to check hormone levels by blood tests. They did that for me this time as were worried ectopic - but got bfn (bloods and hpt) a week after the heavy bleed (natural early mc)

So sorry about af holly. It breaks me every month no matter how hopeful I am or not.

chosen glad to hear I'm not alone with random stuff around ovulation. I think mine is prob worst this cycle being the WTF cycle and hopefully be less apparent next one. Probably not ovulating either although I did take temp this morning and had risen to my norm post ov level but had drunk a lot last night so might see what it says tomorrow.

Woke up to new born news today and one of my best friends is currently in hospital giving birth. Exciting but I can't help but feel so sad and jealous that its not me too.

penguin it took me 3 and a half weeks to get a BFN post erpc and 11 and a half until af showed up. I know exactly what you mean about trying to be patient but it is so frustrating not knowing what is going on. fx you are back ttc soon

I think we should celebrate the new year with a new thread in 2014 and well and truly leave 2013 to rot.
penguin I MCed naturally so different circs, but I had a bfn 10 days
later.
Holly what a kick in the teeth. It would be great if there was even just ONE pg symptom that was totally unique to pg, as everything is the same as period symptoms, makes it so stressful!
chosen - I also have a more positive feeling about even numbers! Come on 2014, don't let us down.

So as well as supporting each other through the ttc minefield it sounds like we're also going to be acting as a sort of support group for withdrawal symptoms of booze, pate and soft cheeses this Jan! I've totally overdone it, trousers are def. tighter!

Just to mark the end of this shitty year and the emergence into a (I hope) brighter new year, I had my loooong hair cut into a bob this morning. Scary, but I actually love it! Does this make me like those crazy midlife crisis people?!?

Sorry to hear about AF making an appearance Holly Sad I think it's nearly impossible not to get your hopes up when you want something so badly.

I will happily join you all in booting 2013 out the door and welcoming in 2014. Need to stop treating chocolate and wine like essential food groups in the new year!

I'm still waiting for my BFN post-ERPC. If you don't mind me asking, how long post mc did you get a negative test? It's been 4.5 weeks since the procedure for me. I'm trying to be patient with my body but not finding it easy.

Hi chosen, yep mc in Sept. Took forever for first ad so this will only be second since then. It's hard when pg and af symptoms are so similar. I am still feeling queasy until I eat then again not long after which was what I had when of with dd (and accounted for the majority of the 3 stone I put on). Loving the weight loss plan Xmas Grin

Hi Holly sorry to hear that hun :( it's just the pits, I get my hopes up too and it's a hard knock back..the symptoms thing doesn't help either as everything seems to be a clue but never actually is! What cycle are you post MC, I kinda remember you are around the same as me, I had MC in September?

Seaside I know what you mean...silent pledge to self if/when pg again I will not €be moaning as you never know what others are going through.

Hi fed up, glad you patched things up..I have a lot of issues around OV time - post OV have a big slump in mood which takes a few days to pull myself up from and come to think of it probably insomnia too. I think my first two cycles post MC didn't actually ov... Just a hunch as I don't think my body was fully recovered, could this be the same for you?

I have a good feeling about 2014, even years are just better! This week I have eaten my body weight in pâté, cheese, meat, eggs, chocolate, coffee, wine etc lol! I am on CD4 so after the NY I am going to be working all my weight of dtd!!

Why oh why do I get my hopes up? Spotted some pinky tinged cm a couple of times last night and this morning. Looks like AF is on her way. Feeling so Sad I cannot wait for 2013 to fuck right off

Sympathies for AFs, and glad you've got things sorted with DH fedup - two weeks is still so soon and raw.

I've really got my hopes up for getting pg in the next couple of months. Agnus castus and 2014 can't fail!

Ha ha, seaside have this funny image of you (not that I know what you look like) walking up to sister with huge glass of wine and downing it in one right in her face!!!

Things are better between DH and I after the sobbing fit / beer spilling argument. Although I'm not sleeping too well so am a bit tired and moody. Does anyone else get insomnia around middle of cycle time? Ov time?! Although have a feeling this is an annov cycle for me as had lots of cm but no temp rise (randomly took this morn for first time in ages and was like my base temp before ov)

Have a fab time in gay Paris (I'm saying it even if non PC) fairy sounds amazing!!

Sorry to hear bout bfns holly and triple. Still hope before af arrives but I'm sure everyone on here will join me in saying fuck off to 2013!! And bring on 2014 and all our successful pregnancies!!

Sister keeps moaning, every night, about not being able to drink-'rub it in, I can't eat/drink anything interesting', and, this afternoon, very grumpily, 'baby keeps kicking me, it's really sore'. I'm going to unleash the sarcasm soon. It's making me drink more in front of her just to piss her off. Giving up the booze for Jan.

I did poas this morning -bfn Xmas Sad Guess it's still early days DPO 11, at not due until tuesday
