Our brand spanking new thread full of luck, baby dust, BFPs and a few choice swear words.

The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

I phoned my gp earlier this week. She just said there isn't anything they can do. I just have to wait til 6 weeks when can see on scan. She didnt offer bloods. My doctors are stingy with everything. But even if bloods weren't ok would they do anything or just wait til you mc naturally? I don't feel at all pregnant today. But trying to stay postifrickintive.

ark sounds exciting!! Will be impressed of you hold off testing til Monday!!! Was it am ic or another? Superdrug picked up my line the fastest, before FR too. And much cheaper.

ArkadyRose · 06/12/2013 14:56

CD25, 12DPO - so perhaps a little early, but I figured what the hey, it's Friday and I can pee if I want to. Grin

And... I'm not sure if there's something there or not. It could be a very faint line, or it could be (very) wishful thinking. I've been getting some rather uncomfortable cramping the past couple of days which could be implantation, or maybe I'm just reading too much into it.

So. Confused It's still Schrodinger's pregnancy here. AF will be due on Sunday, so I guess if it hasn't appeared by Monday I'll test again.

Anyone else poas today?

HollyBen · 06/12/2013 12:08

Fingers crossed for Tuesday over. Try not stress too much thinking about it - easy for me to say I know.

fedup have you been to gp or contacted the EPU? They can do bloods to check hcg levels. Fingers crossed for you to.

Looks like my AF is gone. After my mammoth 12 week wait I was expecting her to be awful to me but apart from being slighty longer and a bit more painful than usual not too bad. I have a monster pack of amazon opks to try. When should I start using? Any hints?

wingandtalon · 06/12/2013 10:01

over glad to hear you got a scan date. Tuesday isn't too long to wait. I hope that all is good and you can relax a bit.

fedup try not to read too much into the digi test. They're not perfect.

Keeping fingers crossed that we get some more BFPs, I could use some good news, feeling distinctly lacking in posifrickingtivity today.

OveranxiousUnderated · 06/12/2013 09:42

Fedup - I saw you said on the other thread that you are only 4 weeks, so I wouldn't be too worried in regards to the test...I got 1-2 when I was 4 weeks, and I am approaching 6 weeks now and still getting 2-3 so who knows. X

triplespin · 06/12/2013 09:03

fedup pls don't read too much into those tests. Just enjoy being pregnant for now. Also brown blood shouldn't be anything to worry about. It is normally fresh blood with cramping. I know you know all this already, but just trying to reassure you. How many weeks are you now? May be worth it to get an early scan via your EPU? Take care :)

alyant79 · 06/12/2013 09:01

oh dear fedup. try not to worry too much about the cbdigi - they can't be completely accurate and maybe if you did one tomorrrow it would say 2-3.... but I can imagine that you are feeling terribly worried. Have you made a doc appt? If the worst comes to the worst at least you will have this one logged, and if not, they will probably arrange for an early scan.
I know that I've said it before, but when i was pg with DD i had quite a bit of bleeding that I really thought was AF. She turned out fine, so i've got hope for you!

wing sorry for AF. guess it was the stress afterall Sad

over that's great that you've got a scan lined up. tuesday isn't long to wait at all!

anyone else POAS today?

fedupofrainydays · 06/12/2013 06:52

Ugh. I was stupid and did a cb digital this morn. Still says 1 to 2 weeks but should def be 2 to 3 by now :(
Trying to hold on that it said 'pregnant' so I am still pregnant today.

Good luck to any POASers xx

fedupofrainydays · 05/12/2013 21:51

Hi over so pleased you have your scan date and Tuesday is not far away for you to get the reassurance you need. I too hope it's all in the right place. I can imagine you worry.
My spotting is worse but it's more like browny gunk I get at end of my period - needs a liner but not much more. Just hoping it stops soon. Im so nervous and scared and praying this one is ok and just playing a cruel game. Trying to rest and eat chocolate and pizza to cheer me up. I will need to diet quite quickly if this pregnancy doesn't work out - if I carry on like this I will be huge!

Sorry bout af wing :(

OveranxiousUnderated · 05/12/2013 20:19

Fedup - Sorry to hear you're stressing too, how is the bleeding/spotting now? X

Wing - Sorry AF got you Angry

Sundance - Thank you for your wise words Thanks

My scan letter has arrived, it's on Tuesday at 8.30am. So scared. I am keeping everything crossed and praying every night that whatever is there is in the right place and something will be visible on the scan.

X

Sundance2007 · 05/12/2013 14:24

Oh my word, what a rollercoaster of a thread this is turning out to be!

So sorry Wing, the first day or so is always the hardest too but hang on in there, and at least you can have a few Christmas drinks to help you prepare for the next shagathon.

Keeping everything crossed for you Over, I realise it's hard not to stress, but remember that you've got over the most difficult hurdle in getting the BFP at all - natural to be nervous but hopefully the time will fly before your scan date arrives.

Good luck to anyone POAS tomorrow!

wingandtalon · 05/12/2013 13:45

Spoke too soon, AF has arrived. Oh well.

fedupofrainydays · 05/12/2013 13:23

over I'm the same apart from its taken up more than an hour of my morning. Most of it.
I've still got blood and its actually more now but still not a period as such. And brown. Am sick to my stomach with nerves. I just can't believe this is 'normal'.

Tomkat79 · 05/12/2013 12:45

Bless ya, I totally get it. I am so Envy of the pregnant women and their blissful ignorance. Today you are pregnant and will remain so until proven otherwise. (On repeat) x

OveranxiousUnderated · 05/12/2013 12:31

Thanks Tomkat Thanks glad all is well with you. Really appreciate the fish slaps as I definitely deserve them!! I know I shouldn't have even tested again it's just so hard when you are so anxious. I have actually remained quite calm considering and not stressing about it too much. I know I am definitely not 6 weeks yet, probably not until Saturday/Sunday at the earliest so fingers crossed...still waiting for my scan date to come though. Xx

Tomkat79 · 05/12/2013 12:24

over just popped over to catch up here and I have bought a bucket load of fish! Those tests are notoriously unreliable. I totally know how you feel but don't stress yourself out over tests or google! I barely had any symptoms until 6-7 weeks and even then they come and go. Am now bricking it heading towards my 20 week scan so I totally get it, but honestly if you must google look up how unreliable they are! Much love x

OveranxiousUnderated · 05/12/2013 12:20

Well I POAS and I shouldn't have because it still said 2-3 so I spent the first hour of my day stressing and googling...yes, I know I shouldn't!! Blush

I never learn. X

wingandtalon · 05/12/2013 12:00

Thankyou for all the well wishes for my Dad. He's making a little bit of progress every day so we are hopeful for a good recovery.

A little bit of spotting this morning, but when AF arrives she usually does it with a bang. So maybe this could be a bit of implantation spotting? Argh! Symptom spotting makes you go crazy, but I'm putting off POAS as I'm terrified of getting a BFN.

triplespin · 05/12/2013 10:55

Your news gives me hope!! And fingers crossed aly that you will get a bfp soon (maybe in 2 wks).

wings so sorry to hear of your rubbishy time. My dad had a stroke too this year and is making recovery. Hopefully it will be the same with yours.

I am on cd5 now after a marathon 38 day cycle. So long to go. I have already started investigating IVF options. If I am not upduffed by March, think I am take the plunge and go down the fertility clinic route.

alyant79 · 05/12/2013 09:23

oooooh fedup!!! that's fabbo news and I really hope that it does stick.
Counting down the days until my own bfp now, since my twin got one :)

wing i'm sorry that you've been having such a rubbish time. My mc baby was also from just two lots of sex in the month so i've got high hopes for you.

triple that's good news from the fertility clinic. excellent!

fedupofrainydays · 04/12/2013 21:47

Thanks ladies! We went for the every other day approach from day 7 to 14 and then once more on 19. I'm usuay an early ovulator, and was away between 14 and 19!

triplespin · 04/12/2013 19:37

fedup massive congrats. Very excited for you!! So how many around ov period did you dtd?

aly I know what you mean about not trusting FF sometimes!! I have questioned it on many occasions.

over agree with the others' advice. Best not to test for a few days, I know it is tempting and easier said that done.

sundance sal glad to hear you have some positive results and hopefully it is just a matter of time when you get a sticky bfp.

As for me. I have been lying low. Been very busy with work. Which is good as I have had less time to focus on my obsession. I did finally manage to see the GP and she has recommended the usual pre and post ov blood tests. So I will be getting those done next cycle. This cycle my 21 day progesterone test would fall on Xmas Day, so will not be able to get it done then lol! I also got a fertility scan and blood done privately. Seems like my antral follicle count was good and they expect my ovarian reserve to be normal too (will get results in a week fx). So I hope everything comes out ok.
I have also started taking pregnacare. Bought some for dh but he has barely touched them (thinks he doesn't need them!).

Sorry if I have missed anyone. Fx for Friday!

Sal1977 · 04/12/2013 17:58

Hurrah for the BFPs girls!! Mega happy for you. Will keep fingers crossed they get stuck in and stick for the next 9 months!!

Wing what a horrid month you've had! Sorry that its all happened to you, you must be proper fed up!! Hope your pops is on the men's, it's bloody scary and makes you realise how precious life is! Hopefully AF is late for the best of reasons! Xxx

OveranxiousUnderated · 04/12/2013 17:56

Wing - Sorry to hear you've been having a shit time, dtd once is all it can take so fingers crossed you get some good news...POAS!!

Fedup - Congrats Smile hope your spotting is just super keen implantation, really hope it sticks for you.

Aly - Thanks for wise words...I did manage to restrain and haven't tested so will be POAS-ing bright and early in the morning...it's been a long test free week.

Still no letter, what a surprise. As I turn '6 weeks' over the weekend I will be chasing it up tomorrow as need it sorting ASAP, the longer it goes on if it is ectopic then the more likely it is to cause problems. I got to 8 weeks last time when I ruptured. Confused

x

fedupofrainydays · 04/12/2013 17:25

Hi ladies. So I want to tell you, slightly nervously, about my bfp. Yes fish slaps please.
I had what I thought was the beginning of my period but never got going, so tested and bfp. Still spotting though which is scary and hoping its not a chemical pregnancy and is just bedding itself in tightly.
So I guess the usual for any of us on this thread... Happy but absolutely shit scared and knicker watch at an ultimate high.
10 months since mc, took a lot longer than I thought and only worked when I through elements of project desperate out the window!! It might not last but at least we got pregnant, that's my thinking at the mo.

aly as my twin, I expect nothing more than a bfp from you this month Wink

over hang in there, And please don't test early than a week after, will just panic you as you say she says having po4s

wing it could be. I conceived my mc baby with have sex twice in one month! Sorry for all the rubbishness of the month

missp very interested in the sperm test result!! Sorry about your sister though, that's really tough.

sal glad the clinic went well. Sounds like you are in good hands for when you get up duffed again which am sure will be soon! Stay away from the excess cheese and mince pies though!!

sundance glad you have some answers on your mc and they are helping you / offering further tests. I think I would take them!!

Hi to everyone else - sorry I can't scroll back any further to see the news...
