We are ttc and I want to use the test BUT I havent got the instructions and I cant remember how I will know if I am pregnant or not!! I know to wee on the stick but how do I know???? It is a CLEARBLUE test.....HELP PLEASE AS I WANT TO TEST NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moomin · 05/03/2004 23:17

Very well done Mum2Ela!!

No such luck for me I think
Have had period type pains since this afternoon so just waiting for AF now. Last one started exactly 4 weeks ago at around 11pm and midnight, Friday going into Saturday, so AF is nothing if not regular - old bitch.

Azure, that was nice to see my name and be wished good luck - thanks xx

Mum2Ela CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I am so pleased for you. Brilliant news. Go and join the October thread but do keep in touch.

Bluestar, sorry about the due date, it must be tough. 11-2 DPO is still early, have you looked at the link I put on me earlier post (second post of this thread).

Bluestar - my thoughts are with you today. I am dreading May 7th for the same reason

jellycat · 05/03/2004 19:32

Oh bluestar, sorry to hear it's your due date .

bluestar · 05/03/2004 19:17

Congratulations Mum2Ela!!!!

Well I stupidly did a test this morning (and a Clearblue one at that) and it was negative. Only 11/12DPO so early anyway but you never know do you. Boobs not as sure this morning and felt grumpy (also today was due date for mc baby so feel a bit low anyway) but boobs are sore again now and I have had a strange taste in my mouth for a few days. No spotting yet so holding out a glimmer of hope and will not test again just yet!
How are you other testers coming along?

eyelash · 05/03/2004 19:09

Congratulations mum2ella

hana · 05/03/2004 18:50

BeckiF - lyrics hit the heartstrings.

Hugs to everyone....

Azure · 05/03/2004 16:38

It's coming up towards the weekend. Good luck to Bluestar, Moomin, AussiSim and PandaBear, who are close to testing time, & happy BD'ing to those at ov time (hopefully including me - CD 11, but I had a +ve OV at CD 9 last month).

Azure · 05/03/2004 15:42

That sounds a good idea. How handy to have a midwife close by.

Mum2Ela · 05/03/2004 15:38

Thanks Azure. I think I might pop into see my neighbour and tell her tonight (we started ttc at the sme it - she is due in June) becuse she is a midwife. I will see what she says - may be able to pull a few strings? We'll see.

Azure · 05/03/2004 15:31

I would go to the doctor sooner rather than later - I can see no reason to delay. If nothing else, it may give you some reassurance, although it may be limited what your doc can do if you are in the earlier stages of pregnancy, i.e. no audible heartbeat yet. I would try to get a dating scan at the hospital.

Mum2Ela · 05/03/2004 15:23

Azure, I tested Monday and it was negative. When should I go to the docs to tell them? Should I go sooner rather than later, am still spotting (nasty brown colour).

Azure · 05/03/2004 15:17

Hurrah! No, three positives do NOT make a negative! Assuming a 28 day cycle, Jan 7th AF gives October 13 and Feb 5th date gives November 11. So you could be anything from 5 weeks to 9 weeks (yikes!) pregnant

Mum2Ela · 05/03/2004 14:54

Thanks Dejags!

Over the moon me!!!

dejags · 05/03/2004 14:49

Congratulations Mum2Ela!!!

What wonderful news

Mum2Ela · 05/03/2004 14:05

Ok, went to boots at lunchtime and bought a boots own brand and a clearblue, so now have done those two and a first response. All positive. 3 tests can't be wrong, can they!?!?

Shall I join the November thread?

Or October? I have no idea!

If my last AF was Jan 7th, lets say I 'missed' a period, which should have been due Feb 5th, or thereabouts, and if we caculate my due date from then, when am I due?

Quackers · 05/03/2004 13:00

I like the digital ones but have heard one or two say they had probs. I thought they were brill though. First resp is 2 lines as with all of them! I do like Clearblue and boots but not predictor!

M2T · 05/03/2004 12:00

Mum2Ela - 2 lines DO mean a +ve! And buy the Boots own brand, very good, very early on. If you are starting to feel nauseous then perhaps you are a bit further on? With a cycle as long as yours you never know! Sickness and funny tastes usually don't kick in until about 4wks after OV.

Mum2Ela · 05/03/2004 11:13

bumping this up cos I am going out of my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need advice gals.

M2T · 05/03/2004 10:23

Mum2Ela - CONGRATULATIONS!! More for the November thread.

BeckiF · 05/03/2004 10:15

As a rule of thumb two lines on any test is a positive. The only ones I have read bad reports on are the digital ones which have on more than one occassion given false positives! Don't ask me how that is possible, it's just what I read!!
