They do indeed Mama Smile I tell you I literally feel like I have a little place where I can just see us all sitting on your big squishy sofa, tucked up under our blanket waiting for our BFPs, glass of vino in hand having a chin wag, tunes playing, fire on, cakes baking in the oven....oo and now a twinkly, sparkly Christmas tree in the corner Grin

mama31 · 16/11/2013 18:40

I must say visualisation is a powerful thing!!! The fluffy blanket and lots of comforts we discuss on here makes me feel so much better!!! :)

I'm doing ok thanks. Feeling brighter and have hopped on the Dec bus, will save you a seat, you come across when you're ready. Glad you're ok but know the spotting must be so hard, bet you wish she'd just get out over with! Stay snuggley here & in a few days you'll be talking sex plans Smile At the mo though its important to take it easy and be kind to yourself, a few more viewings of the Holiday are in order methinks....cracks open a bottle of fizz&chinks glasses....well we may as well do this in style Grin

mama31 · 16/11/2013 13:13

I'm ok....just have to deal with 3 days of spotting now before full af so annoying! but I'm ok. Can't face December bus just yet, save me a seat though if your jumping on soon. Thanks for washing the blanket, smells amazing.....snuggles back under blanket by the fire. how are you doing today? X

onelifeonechance · 16/11/2013 12:52

Yes mama, no lavender, but we can make up for it with gingerbread lattes, the smell can waft over us all and make us feel festive Smile

How you doing? I popped the blanket in the wash earlier to spruce it up as it unfortunately has had a lot of use recently, so its now extra fluffy&smells delicious. Tucks mama in tightly & pokes the fire

mama31 · 16/11/2013 12:45

Without the lavender :/ whoops!!!!

onelifeonechance · 16/11/2013 12:27

Writer! So sorry to read about your day yst, must be so hard but it sounds like you are being v strong as its not easy and i'm so glad you feel you're in safe hands with your medical team and of course your dh looking after you. Know this is easy to say and so hard to do but try to think of it all in little steps and take each day as it comes, it can all get bit overwhelming otherwise. Hope you got some sleep yst and are feeling ok today. You can stay snuggled under the blanket in front of the fire for as long as you like Smile

mama31 · 15/11/2013 22:25

:/ whoops writer! Intentions were all good x

Writerwannabe83 · 15/11/2013 22:05

I have had to remove the lavender mama - it can trigger seizures in people with epilepsy, haha Grin But thanks for the hot water bottle (I absolutely love them) and a huge thanks for your prayers and thoughts x

mama31 · 15/11/2013 22:03

Thankyou life, yes it is a very difficult time but appreciating what we do have is extremely important.

mama31 · 15/11/2013 22:02

Writer I'm so glad to hear you and baby are doing ok and that your husband and all the medical professionals are supporting you well. Try your best to get lots of sleep tonight, you must take care of yourself and try to relax....sleep is a wonderful thing and we can always feel much better after a full nights sleep. I continue to pray for you and your baby's health and for your husbands strength to support you. Sleep well lovely. (tucks writer in again under the fluffy blanket with lavender on her pillow and a hot water bottle for comfort....sleep well my lovely..zzzzz)

Writerwannabe83 · 15/11/2013 21:45

Thank you everyone for your support. I was really low earlier, kept crying, I think it was just the shock of hearing the news. I feel better this evening though and as cheesy as it sounds, it's because I've seen my husband - everything seems more bearable when I'm with him. I have had my increased dose of my epilepsy drugs this evening so I know that even though my health has deteriorated, it is also being addressed. I'm trying not to focus on my heart rate/rhythms etc because again, I know that the professionals are aware of it and will be acting on it. Me stressing out isn't going to help or make any difference to things....all I can do is just take things on day at a time. The most important thing to me is that the baby is ok - I'm worried about myself but knowing he is ok is the only thing that is keeping my spirits up. I haven't been sleeping well for the last week (getting about 3-4 hours sleep a week) because deep down I've known my heart hasn't been right and have been lying awake worrying about it. When the midwife asked me how I was this morning I just burst into, tears and cried to her for about 10 minutes Hmm But now that I know everything is out in the open and treatment/advice is being sought I'm hoping I will be able to get some sleep tonight. My new Consultant, who I met for the first time today, is absolutely lovely - just really, really nice. I have absolute complete faith in her, she was really caring and thorough and I know I'm in the best hands. So I'm going to pick myself up and hopefully wake up in a more positive frame of mind tomorrow! Thank you for all the cuddles under the blanket Smile

Hi Mama. Reading your post. I was thinking. I can relate to what you say and there's no argument. I have been blessed with my gorgeous D.D. She's fantastic. I must have done something right in my life to get a prize like her,. I have a good career. Nice house and nice car so I know I'm really lucky.

D.P coming to mine at 10.pm for some baby making.

On a serious note though. I do know what you mean about it being a bit soul destroying at times, and it's in the lap of the God's really. It is an emotional struggle. I will be honest. I have sobbed my heart out before today when I have read about other people's B.F.P's. You hear about people D.T.D constantly and they can't fall pregnant and you hear of poor teenagers who fall the first time.
Back to being positive now though enjoy your wine. You deserve it. I've just had a brandy. Well you can't keep your life on hold, can you. xxx

mama31 · 15/11/2013 18:53

Oh I found the strength I need....in my fridge.....wine!!! ;)

mama31 · 15/11/2013 16:09

Hormone profile came back as normal so no issues! DH will be next for a swimmers test....wonder how soon I can convince him to do that :/ hope not too long, as he's gutted as well. Gona indulge with some nice food and alcohol tonight and will remember that I am very blessed in my life with a good career, nice house, amazing DS and DH so I just have to count my blessings and know that my time will come. It is just such an emotional struggle though and wish the journey could be a bit easier in some way. And I totally have so much respect to those who have been trying for a long time!!! I'm heading in to cycle 6 and I'm finding it quite soul destroying....I only wish I had the strength of some others at these times!!

lucyfluff · 15/11/2013 15:43

Writer that sounds stressful Sad try to rest up and like the others have said it sounds like they are taking good care of you and bubba. Your in the right place. Hugs Smile

spinningirl10 · 15/11/2013 15:30

Oh Writer, what a scary time for you! It does sound as though you have excellent medical support which must be of some reassurance. Thinking of you and hoping they can ease your conditions xx

mama31 · 15/11/2013 13:17

(tucks writer in the middle of onelife and I beside the warm fire and snuggles up)

mama31 · 15/11/2013 12:53

Writer I'm so sorry your going through this I'm sure it is so so scary for you. Please come on here and talk whenever you need to as we are all concerned for you and will be saying lots of prayers that everything is ok. I can't imagine what your going through but I am here for you x

MundayCakes85 · 15/11/2013 12:49

Writer I'm so sorry for your condition. The only positive I can see is that you've got so much support- there are a lot of people ready to look after you if you need it. Not sure if I'm any help but we're all here if you need to chat x

Writerwannabe83 · 15/11/2013 12:39

Thanks everyone - just a bit down as both my pre-existing medical conditions (epilepsy and heart rhythm irregularities) are playing up and my Consultant Obstetrician has faxed urgent referrals for me to be seen by Cardiology and Neurology. I've got to increase my epilepsy drug dosage and they will want to start me on medication for my heart too. I've got to go back next Wednesday and she is querying admitting me to hospital Sad I just feel so, so low. Me and hubby had loads of pre-conception counselling/advice about the risks to my health if I got pregnant, so we knew what we were letting ourselves in for, but now that things are actually starting to go wrong it is actually very scary Sad

lucyfluff · 15/11/2013 12:23

Oh writer whats happened??? hope your ok x

mama31 · 15/11/2013 11:50

Of course you can writer!!!! What has happened??? Awh I hope everything is going to be ok, lots of prayers and hugs being sent your way!!!! Snuggle up my lovely x

Writerwannabe83 · 15/11/2013 11:29

Can I come and snuggle with you onelife and mama? Sad I've been to see my Consultant this morning and I'm falling apart. I've been in tears 3 times already since I left the hospital. I'm off to an emergency GP appointment now too. I just need a snuggle cuddle and I reckon watching The Holiday would cheer me up too Sad x x
