Hi ladies,

I had my first period after ds about 6 weeks ago. If we go by my old cycles then I'm over a week late now, however I know that they may take a while to settle down / be different now anyway.

This morning I thought I'd test just in case, and I'm really confused by the result.

DS is 8 1/2 months at the moment, and DH is suffering with anxiety issues so I'm not sure that now is the right time to have another. (Although I've always wanted 2 close together).

Any thoughts please?

Thanks all so much Cake

I totally agree allchatnicknamesgone the more I looked the less I sure I was that it was there. I've just had another look at it, It's still the same as it was earlier (the first one disappeared during the day) so I guess that's a good sign. Obviously I'm not reading the results so long after taking the test, just checking they're still there.

Echo I'm really sorry to hear that your AF turned up, sending you big hugs and positive vibes for your next cycle, have you seen the thread with the fertility gods? I can't remember what it's called, but it's worth a try!!

ICs did not arrive in the post today, so I guess Thursday is the next day I can test. I think I'll hold up on the doctors for now. If the lines are faint because this bub isn't sticky then I'd rather not have it properly confirmed that there is a bub there IYKWIM?

Thanks so much for your replies, they do mean a lot :)

Can definitely see a faint line on both tests. Get yourself booked into the doctors for a blood test! When I was pregnant many moons ago the test gave me a very faint line. It took a blood test and a scan before they could confirm I was pregnant.

Good luck x

allchatnicknamesgone · 15/10/2013 13:58

Sorry for you echoDragon. Hope you are doing ok.

When I first looked at it, I could see a line, but the longer you look the more your eyes find it difficult to register it. God, so hard. If you can, maybe try and wait 48hrs. The hormone produces rapidly, so hopefully you can get a clearer result as I'm sure this is totally doing your head in!

3luckystars · 15/10/2013 12:15

I see a line!

EchoDragon · 15/10/2013 11:49

Sorry I can't see a line there.

Fx still for you. AF turned up for me today. So guess my BFP was a chemical. I'm so hoping things are different for you.

RaRa1988 · 15/10/2013 10:43

I'm really sorry but I can't see that one at all. Why don't you get a First Response for tomorrow? I think the 'proper' tests are easier to read than the ICs. On another thread, someone said Asda have them on offer atm if that helps.

jaykay987 · 15/10/2013 07:12

That is very feint. But as you say, it's the same width as the control line.

FX it gets clearer tomorrow!

MummySparkle · 15/10/2013 06:54

awesomesparklepenguin.tumblr.com/post/64095233229/am-i-seeing-things

That's today's, line came up in 3 or 4 mins I think. I haven't tried first response, cheapies had always been fine for me before so it just seems a lot to spend (had an awful month, car needed an expensive repair and used savings on our holiday the month before...)

I'm going to try an sit tight until I get a clear line on one of these! That's for replying, I haven't told anyone IRL, so you're really keepin me sane!!

jaykay987 · 15/10/2013 06:47

If you see a line - it's very promising.

FX for you

EchoDragon · 15/10/2013 06:40

Have you tried a first response? They are supposed to be really sensitive. Fx for you.

MummySparkle · 15/10/2013 06:15

We'll there is definitely a second line this morning. Same thickness as the control line, but it is so so so faint I can't decide whether it's real or not... This is so frustrating! Hopefully internet cheapies will arrive today so I can POAS tomorrow morning. I think they're more sensitive than these, so maybe.

I still have no idea really! I'll try and convince myself I'm not pg so I don't get my hopes up!!

Join the symptom spotting gang!! I am not even late....

Let's see, eh!

MummySparkle · 14/10/2013 21:08

It wasn't FMU, so I guess it's not over.

Maybe I'll try FMU tomorrow. I'm exhausted, super hungry a feeling sick. But I'm probably just symptom spotting because I'm being hopeful!!

Blerrrrrrg!

Thanks for all of your encouragement

Sorry OP Sad however it s not over till you get your period, so we'll see!

Fingers xed for you!

EchoDragon · 13/10/2013 22:00

Sorry to hear about your BFN. There is a line there tho. I'm in the same predicament. 2 BFPs and then 4 BFN.

I keep testing in the hope but I guess I just have to wait. It is so hard to be patient when your so desperate for something.

Thesimplethings · 13/10/2013 21:48

On my phone not in Hmm

Thesimplethings · 13/10/2013 21:47

Sorry I can't comment as I'm in my phone and it won't let me open your link. Hope it is a positive for you. Try again with fmu or a digital in a couple of days.

Good luck.

RaRa1988 · 13/10/2013 21:30

Oh, sorry to hear that Sad. Did you use FMU again?

MummySparkle · 13/10/2013 21:21

BFN today. There might have been a really really REALLY faint line, but it was most likely in my head. I'm feeling really crappy now, I'm fed up of feeling so tired and hormonal. a BFP would have been a nice explanation for it all

Thanks for your replies :)

Your link isn't working

RevoltingPeasant · 13/10/2013 20:58

OP let us know if you tested! I'm nosy Grin fingers xed

MummySparkle · 12/10/2013 17:48

Tesco had no preg tests!! Well they did, but only the super expensive ones and much as I want to know, I don't have £15 for the privaledge right now. I'll have to venture into town tomorrow and see if I can find some own bran ones somewhere. sigh

My first test with DS looked similar, but it went smoothly without the dye pooling. If I went straight back to a 28 day cycle then AF is 8 days late now so a test should be quite clear, but who knows. Thinking about it I had some blood when I wiped a week or two ago. Arreggg I need more tests!!!

OP posts:
onefunkymama · 12/10/2013 16:41

Looks like a positive to me, test again in a couple of days ad see if it stays the same, or get a digital test

MummySparkle · 11/10/2013 20:24

But I'll be super excited if it is positive!! (Just realised how negative my last post sounded)

OP posts:
MummySparkle · 11/10/2013 20:23

Aaah rats, I wrote a reply to this earlier, but it didn't post :(

Yes, I took the photo after about 5mins (test said 3-15) so it was within the window. Yes it was pink and not grey.

However the test was a bit weird. When inlaid it flat the pink line of the we soaking across kinda got stuck for a bit around there. So I peed on it a bit more and gave it a shake! (With the lid back on of course!!!) so I'm not sure whether it's a proper line or just a random pooling of dye from the weirdness...

I'm not going to tell OH yet, as his anxiety is bad at the moment, I'm going to wait until I know for certain. He does want another child, but because a lot of his anxieties started with DS then obviously he's worried about how he will cope with DC2. Especially as I'm now working and he runs a business.

I'll get another test at some point over the weekend and see what that says Sunday. Hopefully I'll be able to watchthat for the whole 15mins without having to rush off for work.

Thanks for your replies, means a lot :)
