I don't tell DH when it is ov time, to avoid pressure. But he'll be home from work about 10.30 and up at 5am. So there is no possibility tomorrow morning and tonight I will try to initiate but he will be tired after working late!

I've decided the strong period pains Im getting are most likely ov. So tonight is essential! Last time was five days ago! What a potential waste of a 38 day cycle!

Mama31 - sorry to chip in but surely tomorrow lunchtime would not be worth it as even the healthiest DH needs 24 hours to restock?

AF still hasn't shown up can't believe I have to put up with this not knowing what's going on. If I'm not pregnant, why is my period later than it's ever been before.

I am a total grump today. AF started about three hours after my BFN and I am off to collect antibiotics for a kidney infection so I can well and truly empathise with the cystisis club! Ridiculous thing is I have only ever had one UTI before so this is clearly from TTC. I hope our future children realise how much we have been through!

Well I've made a decision and scheduled DH in for tonight when he gets home from work at 9pm lol I'm too afraid to miss an opportunity so gona dtd tonight, tomorrow lunch time, skip fri and then sat and sun for fun luck/fun!

If its meant to be it will be......and I'm feeling in the mood ;) so def up for it tonight....wish me luck! Just gona go with my body and if it says it wants to get jiggy then that's what I'm gona do!!! :)

Hi flymo good to have you on board. Sometimes making up DTD is the best kind so just get down to it tonight. Or, if you really do fancy sulking be comforted by the fact that if you DTD before you ov'd there should have been some swimmers queuing up so you may still be ok :)

hello all, lurked for a bit and realised I ought to jump in or else get my grotty mac! ho ho. really feeling a bit down as last night had a row with DP instead of dtd and I think I was already 1 day dpo and should've been getting on the good foot. now will have to initiate making-up d'ing t d instead of sulking which is really what I want to do!! anyway, looks like you are all lovely and supportive of one another, have already noted a couple of stories which sound really similar to recent months for me....

Usually get to 12dpo before starting properly. Spotting from 10dpo is not unusual so pretty sure this is the beginning of my AF coming . Guess if I have to think of a positive at least this will be a short for me cycle of about 34 days. Also means less time till I can do the blood tests the doctor says to get done to see if baby making is even possible.

Science, isn't dpo9 early for AF or do you have short LP. I know you don't know 100% when you O'd, but could it be implantation or does is it too similar to AF.

Jaykay - try not to stress. Try and did tonight? When you say you've been trying, do you mean dh hasn't been able to perform? Can you just fib and say O time is over but you need some loving? Then at least if you have some bad boys in you, you can hopefully relax?
Can you do an opk now and check?

Well it's only 9dpo (from positive stick, who knows for sure as my temping was not done well this month) and I have spotting. So guess my birthday month wasn't my lucky month after all. Not sure how I'm gonna find the mental energy to do it again for the 8th cycle. It is so brutal.

Jaykay I don't know....I seem to not know anything since ovulation crept up on me so quick...my solid master plan has been thrown up in the air....and now I don't know when to dtd!! :/ jaykay just keep dtd where possible...its all guesswork I'm afraid!!!!

To do the deed tonight or not to do the deed.....that is the question :/ agggghh! So frustrating...ok so if opk line is stronger tonight I'm gona do it, if its still same strength I'm gona hang fire til tomorrow lunch time! (And if the line disapears by tomorrow....I'm gona throw the biggest tantrum ever seen)

Mama - Id leave tonight and then do tomorrow, Friday and Sunday (if I was lucky enough to have a DH like yours you is keen!)

Im annoyed as I am more and more confused. I got peak on CB OPK a week ago last Saturday. Went straight from low to peak, which wasn't followed by higher temps, so assumed it was a false alarm. Then I got high last Friday and Saturday, followed by peak on Sunday. My temps raised from Friday, so FF thinks I ovulated Friday.

That would make me dpo 5 today. But, Ive had LOADs so CM the past three days and today I have loads of pain in my back and tummy and my temp has dropped this morning. So either this is implantation cramping and implantation dip. Or maybe Im ovulating now and the opks and previous temp rise was wrong? Is 5dpo too early for implantation? Does anyone know if implantation cramping is normal? I know implantation bleeding is the exception not the rule. Anyone know whether the same applies to the cramping?
I usually get a post ov temp dro for one day, but this is normally 7dpo, not 5dpo.
Today is cd24 - if this is ov today, my cycle is just getting longer and longer as that'll put me on track for a 38 day cycle!

Aggghhhhh! Im so confused. Wish I could convince DH to dtd EOD and forget all the temping and opks! But my cycle is so long, that'll never work, we'll never manage it.

I just want to know. We haven't dtd since Friday, so if we missed my fertile window Id rather know so I don't get my hopes up over the next week and a half!

So Im torn - either I have not chance if Im ovulating now. Or I have a great chance, because I have pains that I don't normally have which might be implantation.

Mama, I'm not due bfp til 31st and not due to even start plan til Sunday withOV due Wednesday BUT I'm starting opks Friday in case.

Allthat, I wish I could unknow everything too but now we know we can't go back which is frustrating! DH also wishes he didn't know.

SMEP is soooo hard and I'm glad everyone on here agrees. Makes me feel better.

Mama, on that basis, I'm not sure what dtd you should do cause ov can be 12 hours - 36hours after pos opk and then egg lives for 24hours! I haven't a clue. I would recommend getting digi opks as it gives a pos on MORE LH And so a pos on that means more than pos on IC. I use IC til I get a matching line then go to digi for a smiley(I thought you did that too from last month but not sure). This month I'm going to ease up on the everyday as DH hasn't had any trouble so far but we could be going that way... Then again...

Notta, did I pick up that your DH isn't thrilled with the three times a week approach? It can be really hard for them. Maybe do other 'stuff' every other time that is less work for him; I think this will get him in the mood to do more at key times. I think the more they get the more they want; it's just getting the kick start. Sorry if I picked you up wrong or if you weren't really looking for comment.

I'm very conscious that we may have reduced our chances last month by dtd too often so was trying not to do that again. Tomorrow morning is a possibility, its not ideal but could happen if we plan it....or tomorrow lunch time could def be a goer! I can come home for lunch and get jiggy for sure!!

I think I'm gona be brave and try a different approach to last month, and hold off til tomorrow lunch time but I will do another opk tonight to see what its like...I may change my mind :/

Also wondering if ovulating this early means another shorter cycle/LP....perhaps I might think about increasing b6 from 25mg to 50mg from tomorrow!!! Why oh why is it all so complicated and such guesswork!!!
