Ovulation agony

I thought I was having ovulation pain last night, but it has carried on right through today, and is really bad....

Anyone else had this? I have often identified a cramp as ovulation poin, and sometimes it has been very painful, but never lasting 24 hours.

Yep, Raraz right. It should be a but irritating but not enough that stops you in your tracks or makes you need to sit down...

Thanks for your feedback.

I will see how long it goes on for, and if I get the same problem next month.

I can't help feeling a gp will dismiss ovulation pain as a bit too woo.

I think 'very painful' (OP) is the worrying bit... Spose everyone's pain threshold is different, but it shouldn't be causing her that much pain I don't think...

I get cramps similar to AF. Bad back some months too. I thought it was normal? It's not enough to need to take paracetamol, but you definitely feel it. Comes and goes. Had it last night for about half an hour then at lunchtime today and then this evening. I'll then get about a week off them I'll get cramps about a week before AF. I cramp a lot!!! Joy.

I don't think it's meant to hurt... I think it's supposed to be more of a twinge/brief sharp pain. I think most women only get them for a few hours at the most too, but I notice them for a couple of days too, but the intensity doesn't stay the same. Are you sure that's what it is? Maybe see the doctor if it's that bad; doesn't sound like much fun.

I've been getting very bad ov pains for a while. They can last for up to 2 days. Not sure if this is normal though, been thinking about going to the doctor about it...
