Wish! Positive thoughts! I have a good feeling for you if it helps...

My cyst hurts today, maybe it's going? It's not is it, it's going to get bigger and bigger and burst out of my stomach like in alien isn't it?!

wishwash · 06/10/2013 13:38

stars OTD is Monday 14th! I will be testing on Sunday though so I have the full day of crying before going back o work.

wannabe you made me laugh out loud! I pictures you sitting in the bathroom (for some reason it was my bathroom) and singing at the top of your voice Grin

WannabeMaryPoppins · 06/10/2013 13:15

Hi Everyome,
Congratulations llw. Absolutely brilliant news! Thanks. Just goes to show that you just need the one....
wish congrats on being PUPO. I can feel that snowball of BFP getting bigger by the day!
still gutted to hear about your cyst. [hugs]
choco hope that the mock transfer went well
nobeer hello my lovely. great news about the testing. I am definately going to try and get my clinic to put all three embies back next time. They are of not such good quality so the more the merrier I say.
iwant and brooker well done for the SLF just love that I always sat on the bath to get a nice role of fat, put the radio on and sang at the top of my voice while I stabbed. Can highly recommend Robbie Williams and A-HA.
waves and hugs to everyone else.

AFM spotting still there. If it's not gone by Wednesday I will be giving the clinic a call. 4 weeks is a fecking joke.

BTW have some friends coming round for dinner so am doing Baked Fish and Chips and Bread and Butter pudding. Anyone fancy joining us (I would ensure that there was suitable supply of music in the bathroom for the stabbers Wink

Oh another thing, the staff there are absolutely lovely. When I was having mine done it was really painful but the nurse and doctor with me were great and very understanding, polite, engaging. Just really made the horrible procedure a lot less stressful x

IWantOneNow · 06/10/2013 10:14

Morning Lugs. Yes i am being treated at nottingham's QMC and that's where I had my scratch done. They r doing a trial but I didn't put myself forward for the trial as u have no idea whether u r going to be done properly or whether u r going to be the placebo. I wanted to make sure I had it done (anything to help my cycle!). Who knows whether it will help, but I'll try anything! (Even the bum bullets!) Grin. Hope that helps. Oh and u normally have it done on day 21 of ur cycle x

Ha llw that made me giggle Grin

Llw2 · 05/10/2013 22:32

Bum bullets are way easier up the pooper! I'm three weeks in to the seven week process and counting down the days until my ass is mine again!

starsandmoonandback · 05/10/2013 21:39

I'm definitely up for the rear too Wink

BrookerC · 05/10/2013 20:36

Well my jab went well tonight girls. Stabbed closer to my belly button while standing & only stung for a minute or two. Phew! Thanks for all the tips esp the glamorous loo position llw Wink
nobeer glad you're feeling happier. It's always good to eliminate any doubts. Having a plan definitely helps too. x

Llw2 · 05/10/2013 19:59

Brook and Iwant I found sitting on the loo (helped my tummy form a roll) then pinch in the middle by the tummy button either side, see if it helps x

nobeer · 05/10/2013 19:23

brook thanks for asking. I'm glad I'm going to be speaking to an expert, I'm hoping she'll just tell me I'm worrying over nothing Grin. I'm going to ring on Mon am to make a phone appointment.

nobeer · 05/10/2013 19:19

brook and iwant good luck with your slfs tonight!

nobeer · 05/10/2013 19:18

still glad your GP is on the ball.

BrookerC · 05/10/2013 15:45

wish I am so inclined to agree. It's rear all the way for me! Grin
Iwant let me know how you get on. I'm going to try nearer the belly button tonight. x

IWantOneNow · 05/10/2013 12:36

brook I sit on the bed and pinch the flesh (and I put an ice cube on the bit I'm gonna stab for a bit first too). I might try it standing up to see if that makes any difference Hmm.

wishwash · 05/10/2013 12:13

atill that is mammoth cyst. I hope
It doesn't get bigger and buggers off for you Flowers

wishwash · 05/10/2013 12:12

I'm going to start it Brooker and my vote is for back passage! Much less mess Wink
I did my Bruserelin injections sat down, pinched a bit of skin, stuck the needle in then let go. They stung a little but better when closer to the belly button (that may just be a weird thing for me)

Stillhopingstillhere · 05/10/2013 12:01

Oh and the clinic said they routinely see them up to about 6cm.
I was slightly alarmed the left ovary was entirely covered by a black shadow and she went and got two further opinions!

Stillhopingstillhere · 05/10/2013 11:52

They've just left it!
However I was not impressed with this so went to see own gp, she could feel it through my skin and wants to see me again next Wednesday and will arrange another scan if no better.

I last had a scan five weeks ago and there was nothing there then, and I've had numerous scans since starting down this ivf route and all has been fine. Bloody typical that this month there is a cyst. My gp is a specialist in women's health and very good. She said it may well go on its own but needs to be monitored as they wouldn't want it to get any bigger.
My clinic had advised me just to wait until next month but to be careful and not to make any sudden movements as it may twist over. Great, I will just sit really still for a month and not lift or play with my four year old.

It's given me something else to worry about and now I'm worried that there may be a problem with me as well as dh as apparently the cysts can be caused by a hormonal imbalance. Although cycles are 28 days exactly and all blood tests have shown hormone levels to be ok.
One thing after another!

BrookerC · 05/10/2013 11:03

Still what is your clinic suggesting regarding your cyst? Are they waiting for your next AF to see if it disappears on it's own or looking to remove it? 8cm is huge!

BrookerC · 05/10/2013 10:57

Good morning!
Iwant just another 3-4 weeks' of the SLF's My nurse suggested pinching the skin when stabbing. It's better than not pinching . Also, do you sit or stand? I've tried both ways & definitely prefer standing. DH does mine as I like to get him involved (but it's less painful when I do them - may take over myself if I start bruising though)
nobeer your call to the clinic made me smile. I rang mine yesterday too as I wanted to speak to my cons about my switched protocol (I'm after some further explanation & reassurance), when I got on the phone to his secretary my point got lost. I kept thinking, what do I actually want to know?!! FFS! Anyhoo, he did ring me back (on the landline after 6pm after trying my mobile - well impressed that he tried both phones. I was having a bath not expecting him to ring at that time!) He didn't have my latest notes in front of him but will ring me back Mon/Tues to discuss. Made me feel better for now anyway. It's good to hear you'll have access to a specialist. How are you feeling about it all?
Good morning to our PUPO lady wish Smile
choco good luck today. Cyclogest? Wow! That's one experience you don't need to simulate surely!?
Hello to everyone else
