Your last thread got somewhat derailed so I thought I would treat you to a lovely shiny new place full of real open fires, fluffy blankets and an aga for baking bread and warming soups and stews. Back on with the job in hand ladies, lets have a round up of who's doing what and when.

How exciting Fox! New house and a baby Wink

My new meds are doing their job! No real appetite, but better than constant nausea!

Fox82 · 07/10/2013 13:59

Good luck for tomorrow scarlett! I'm sure you'll ace it! Smile

No news here really. Got a positive opk yesterday and hoping this will be my month! Viewed a house for the second time today. It needs loads doing but has potential so think we'll put in a low offer and see how it goes.

How are you feeling now maybe?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 10:57

So nice to hear from you Scarlett! Lots of luck for tomorrow lovely. You'll walk it. And another job lined up!! Get you!

Sore boobs you say......Wink

How are all other brookers?

ScarlettInSpace · 07/10/2013 09:01

Morning all, just an update, my interview is tomorrow eeeek! Been working on my presentation all weekend, just got to clear some work down this morning then going to spend this afternoon finishing it off. In the meantime I've had another interview with a different company who really like me and said I am a strong candidate, so I have a Plan B another job prospect, not a London singer/rapper

In brooking related news, my boobs have not stopped being sore post-AF 2 weeks ago which is weird, I usually get some respite week 1 - week 3 before I'm back sleeping in sports bras... Of course in true brooker style I'm quietly convinving myself that by some freak of nature a little emby has survived the 2 day torrent that was AF and I am one of those rare individuals who has full-on bleeds whilst diffed!

Much love xx

anactualnurse · 05/10/2013 13:51

Stacks, the thought of that is beyond gross!! made me lol in the staff room at work though.

Stacks · 05/10/2013 10:36

Morning all. I'm suffering from an almost-cold. I've got a really stuffy head, but no snot (sorry for tmi) so I can't even blow my nose to clear it :(

I'm trying not to symptom spot just now, I might be at the end of in my 2ww, but as I've not really become acquainted with AF since having T I've no idea when to expect it back. I'm seriously considering buying some pg tests because what if this cold is cruelly a symptom!?

I hope everyone here is well? How are you feeling now beedle? Hopefully a bit more positive a la cake?

Too as far as I know, the egg/embryo isn't affected by alcohol until it shares your blood supply at about 6 weeks. That's just from the POV of fetal alcohol syndrome etc, not TTC and egg quality. I think you'd be fine to drink though, and tbh I'd probably recommend it. There's only so much of your life you can put on hold for TTC. Have a night off and have fun and if you believe my mother, alcohol is the cure for infertility.

nurse glad to hear you're feeling a bit more positive too. TTC when not living together is going to be a bit slower than otherwise - I'm sure now you're living together you'll be upduffed in no time. Remember those stories about getting pregnant from using he same towel as your boyfriend if only?

anactualnurse · 04/10/2013 17:26

Love your positivity cake!!

Am on it sparkle and cheddar, worry not.

And I know, keep, I keep forgetting that would have made it extra difficult.

These past couple of months have been hard work, but am feeling positive. Just have to work ttc around shifts and long working hours and convince mr nurse he's not really too knackered to dtd.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 04/10/2013 11:26

Hello all! I thought I'd posted the other day but apparently not.

Nurse, yup, now you live together that rat will be smacked in no time!

Cake, that is indeed the first day of your pregnancy!

I have a question...alcohol when ttc. I've got a big birthday coming up and AF is due next week. The party is next Saturday. It's ok to drink during AF, isn't it? When does alcohol start affecting the egg? Once it's released from the ovary?

keepitgoing · 04/10/2013 08:32

Also nurse you've not been living together, so that makes it a bit harder.

Bon jovi knows all. Keep the faith.

Thanks trix, and brook lots for me olive. I stopped taking my pill last sept, so am officially into year 2 ttc. Wowsah, a bit upsetting when I think of it like that. Ah well, lucky 13...or not.

GreenOlives · 03/10/2013 14:22

Just popping by to stalk say hi to you all! Like gen and smegs I have no intention of TTC again but I REALLY don't feel like I can stop checking in with you guys until each and every one of you gets your much deserved BFP! Sending lots of brooking vibes!

CakePigeon · 03/10/2013 14:03

little and musical hi I remember you both, how lovely you now have your brooking babies, I'm loving all of the proof of the effectiveness of brooking :)

AF here today I think after stopping my pills so that's the first day of my pregnancy right?

cartoontrickster · 03/10/2013 12:43

nurse u silly billy. you are allowed to visit us you know! who knows maybe you'll catch preggoness off one of us if only it was that easy right. you get that af gone then its all system go Grin

anactualnurse · 03/10/2013 08:07

Hello everyone, I posted yesterday to say hi, and apologise for not being around, but managed to post in the wrong thread ended up in one of the antenatal threads by accident...wishful thinking perhaps. Anyhoo, am waiting for AFto rock up, and feeling positive about next month now I'm a bit more settled and have found my thermometer and opk. Hope everyone is ok.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/10/2013 20:53

Oh Rubber that's rubbish. My new company have been amazing, even sending flowers. I'm very lucky

TheLittleFriend · 02/10/2013 20:43

Grin maybe

RubberBullets · 02/10/2013 20:41

I found out I was pregnant with dd a couple weeks after I started a new job. I was signed off for 9 weeks with hyperemesis and therefore didn't get my temporary contract extended like I was promised...

NoMaybeAboutIt · 02/10/2013 20:28

How are you feeling about it Cups? You're going to ace it. I'm simply brooking no argument. And you do know that new job=BFP=hyperemesis making you unable to work said job right?! Just saying......

And that goes for you Scarlett. Is it tomorrow lovely? Bloody good luck if it is.

I'm pleased you're feeling better Beedle. I really didn't get on with buserilin. Hopefully you'll start your stims ASAP.

Someone take Little up on her offer. She has the luckiest piss sticks ever. Fact b

TheLittleFriend · 02/10/2013 20:13

Hi brookers, hope you're all well.

Does anyone still use a clear blue fertility moniter? I've got 11 test sticks with a dec 2013 expiry date in the cupboard for anyone who wants them :)

Cake I also remember you. My brooking baby is 7 months now, I'm not ttc again yet though, just popping by to say hi

RubberBullets · 02/10/2013 18:41

After the sickness I had with dd there is no way I could risk it. I could barely leave the bathroom for 9 weeks and if the same happened again I would probably end up failing the course as I would either miss the exams or the lessons learning what is needed for the exams. Fingers crossed we can take the exams a bit earlier if the class is ready as they are online and the course tutor decides when you take them.

musicalmrs · 02/10/2013 10:42

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better Beedle. You will get your brooking baby... and in the meantime we'll all be here helping boost your spirits during the darker days.

Cups, the interview sounds very exciting! Good luck (in case I forget to say it before Tues! ).

Cake, I remember you! Welcome back. Once a brooker, always a brooker... :-)

Rubber, you say you can't TTC until the summer.. but is there any reason why you couldn't be pregnant on your course? Wink I realise I'm playing devil's advocate here and you probably have many reasons. My project commits me until July, but there's no reason why I couldn't do it while pregnant, hence TTCing later this year..

Hurrah, it's October! Smile

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 02/10/2013 08:05

Glad to hear your feeling a bit better today Beedle. It's hard to know if it's the DR that's causing you to feel a bit low seeing as it didn't seem to affect you last time. I know how hard it is to think positive after a failed cycle. Just keeping telling yourself the first cycle is like a rehearsal. The odds of it working first time are not great. There is no reason why it won't work this time x

Maybe my interview is on Tuesday, hopefully it won't take too long as I'm working the late shift. Cake it's for a job in a health visiting team.

Kitty have you had your scan yet?

ControlGeek · 02/10/2013 08:04

beedle lovely you are completely normal to feel the way you do. Your comment about it only happening to other people really struck a chord when I read it. It's exactly how I feel too. You are already doing everything you can to make this succeed - it's just the sniffer dogs making you feel that you aren't. My clinic told me they'd had people in the past who had reacted badly to the dr drugs, to the point they didn't feel it was worth carrying on, and gave up on their ivf cycle at that point but then regretted it once the drugs were out of their system and the feelings passed. Brooking that this just means that the sniffer dogs are doing their work, because we all believe this is your cycle.

too I'm so sorry to hear your history, and am brooking for a quick and highly uneventful pregnancy for you this time round.

cake I remember you - I was geeklette back then, but I think our times may only have overlapped slightly and possibly it was when I was still lurking, prior to posting Lovely to have you back, and brooking for you too.

I'm so useless, I can't remember a thing anyone else has said Blush 'Tis early in the morning though. No news here, other than MrG has lost 10lb in 4.5 weeks

BeedlesPineNeedles · 02/10/2013 07:11

Thanks maybe, keep & fox I do feel a bit better today. DRing will continue for another week or so, they're going to call me on Monday to tell me when to start stimming, but I don't think I'll start before Wednesday. I suppose I just feel so helpless, I want to do something that will improve our chances but there isn't really anything I can do.
