Your last thread got somewhat derailed so I thought I would treat you to a lovely shiny new place full of real open fires, fluffy blankets and an aga for baking bread and warming soups and stews. Back on with the job in hand ladies, lets have a round up of who's doing what and when.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/10/2013 10:16

They have phoned, its going to be Monday, I've told MrB. I think he'll be happy when I tell him the details (I have told him its Monday!) as they said he can do his bit at home and bring it with him then he'll have had some recovery time by the time they ask for a 2nd lot

ScarlettInSpace · 18/10/2013 10:16

Oh beedles brooking for it to be Tuesday, it always feels more positive when things fall in to place how you want them...

ScarlettInSpace · 18/10/2013 10:15

Morning all, sorry so hit and miss with posting lately, brief hello again to stacks before you head back to grads!

happy birthday for yesterday geek x

Nothing much to report here, I'm trying to get my manager to release me at christmas [my notice takes me to 10th Jan technically] but he is being a cock and not coming back to me so looks like he is going to make come back after christmas just for 1 bloody week, honestly what an arse - like one of my friends said though, its just like a paid weeks holiday really to kick the new year off nice and relaxed as I won't be doing feck all work-wise Grin but tbh I really just want to break up at christmas and be done with it.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/10/2013 09:29

ooh geek that sounded lovely, you're making me hungry Halloween Grin Hope you get a phone call today.

I don't think I really mind which day they do it, though Tuesday would posibly be better as MrB won't have to rush off (and teh bosses that don't know won't be wondering what could possibly be so important that he was late to his meeting) and OTD would then be a day that I'm at home rather than away at a work conference (though if it doesn't work I expect I will start bleeding before OTD, so if I'm not bleeding I'll be expecting a BFP, and I don't mind getting one of those whilst I'm away :o )

ControlGeek · 18/10/2013 09:12

awww stacks it's so wonderful that he is happy! He's bound to feel a bit scared too, but I think that's just completely normal. Do you feel like you've forgotten to do something with not peeing on anything? I usually feel that way after ov but this month have somehow managed to get through without peeing on a single stick - not even an IC ov stick! Halloween Shock

beedle The meal was amaaaaaaazing Halloween Grin but the quantities were far more than I was expecting. We thought they would be quite small, so ordered two sides to share in addition to our main courses Halloween Blush Do you have a preference for Monday or Tuesday? Good luck!!!

maybe I may get some of this wrong or mixed up, but we had:
pre-starter - a tiny teacup of chicken stew (yes, it was actually served in a miniature bone china teacup!!!)
starter (both) - pan-seared scallops with black pudding bhajis and a smoky tomato sauce
main (me) - brie, beetroot and caramelised onion tart tatin with a butternut squash sauce and potato and rosemary bake. Side order of braised cabbage and fennel.
main (mrg) - 10oz rump steak, medium rare, with hand cut chips and a side of beetroot and tomato salad.
dessert (shared) assiette of puddings - frangipani tart, orange bombe (think eton mess in a ball of orange icing), beer-misu (droooool!) and chocolate and walnut brownie.
A bottle of pinotage helped to sink the ship, in addition to the pre-dinner champers we had at home.

Ladies, I had massive birthday brain yesterday - I forgot there was still Friday to go before the week was over I have chased my surgery and asked for a telephone appt with my GP, and have stressed the times I am available on my number. Got a different receptionist today, she was actually rather lovely and very helpful. Hopefully I will know if I have funding by the end of the day :)

Stacks · 18/10/2013 08:20

Morning. Sorry to keep you in suspense all night. DS takes up quite a lot of my day, so I tend to just manage to read and not post. Then last night I was tired so stared into space till bed time. It's unfortunate that DS has started waking in the night just as I'm getting tired!

DH got a text message with the news (classy huh?) not much response apart from a "you're pregnant then!" However last night he seemed quite happy about the whole thing, and we had a bit of a chat about plans and the like. He's adamant we'll find out the sex at the 20w scan, though I did suggest a yellow bean could be kinda fun. He's also got a bunch of questions I don't really know the answer to about being pregnant while breastfeeding DS still. I'll chat to the advisor at our breastfeeding group sometime soon and see what she says maybe.

I'll be checking to see the news from your phone call Beedle. Do you have a preference which day you'd like?

Sorry you had to deal with an awful customer Geek, but I hope your dinner out is lovely. DH and I are planning our first dinner out together since having DS soon, no idea where we're going to go though. Sorry you missed the call from the GP, brooking you catch them Monday.

This morning was the first day in a while that I've just got to pee rather than preparing a ramekin etc. It was quite nice, but I did consider doing another stick or 3.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 18/10/2013 08:02

How was the meal geek ? I hope today is less stressful at work.

stacks how did DH take the news of a proper test?

I'm expecting the call from the clinic around lunchtime to tell me if EC will be Mon or Tues

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/10/2013 17:51

How frustrating Geek! But at least you'll have a lovely night to distract you. I want a full run down of what you ate Halloween Smile

ControlGeek · 17/10/2013 17:47

Bloody GP's receptionist gave the GP the wrong info - I said to only call before 12 or after 2 (ie not while I'm out at lunch) so what did she tell the GP? Only call between 12 and 2. Now I have to wait until next week to get a bloody answer.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes and offers of Cake and Wine - I will of course be having copious quantities of both Halloween Grin

maybe we're off to a local hotel who have an utterly amazing menu at a very reasonable price. It's actually my third choice for venue because I hadn't gone there before, but I think it might be closing on pole position shortly!

stacks - update please, how's DP? How's you? Is it sinking in yet? How many more tests have you done???

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/10/2013 17:04

Beedle that's amazing news. Brooking for a Tuesday EC so MrB can be there.

Geek MrG is a star!! Where are you off to for dinner? Boo to the shitty customer. Hope you got it all sorted. Hurry up GP!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 17/10/2013 15:33

Stacks, am still so pleased for you - have you told DH yet? I would have been unable to restrain myself and would have rung him immediately.

ControlGeek · 17/10/2013 14:12

OMG Stacks that is the most amazing news!!! I came on having had the morning from hell, really hoping for an update from you and this has really made my day. I am so over the moon that the FRER has confirmed it. When I tested in my IVF round, the FRER was the only thing that returned a positive line, everything else including the Morrisons' own supposedly sensitive test returned nothing at all.

beedle congrats on your scan news, that is really brilliant stuff. Brooking like crazy for your EC. Poor MrB, but as you say they were both there for the same reason.

maybe I'm so sorry I missed your scan news - squeeeeeee at having a brooking baby girl!

I'm still waiting for my GP to call me back to confirm if my dr drugs can be funded or not. No other news here, but am being well and truly pampered today. Came down this morning to find MrG had decked the kitchen out in balloons and banners after I had gone to bed last night, and there was an actual bottle of real, honest to goodness champers with a bit of tinsel around it, waiting for me! Going out for a meal tonight so really looking forward to that. Dink is being really lovely and supportive Halloween Confused but one of my two main customers has spent the entire morning making my life a misery. I don't think I have ever managed to squeeze so many swearwords into one lunchbreak before!

Stacks · 17/10/2013 12:36

I don't really like pink, I just like the little extra designs and things you can find on girl clothes. Like jeans with a little embroider flower on ykwim?

I'm still in a bit of shock. Totally didn't expect to get pg in the first cycle of trying. It almost feels like an accident! We are both really sure we want a DC 2, and we talked about all the timing and things. Still, neither of us dared hope for, let alone expect, a first try baby!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/10/2013 11:59

Stacks I'm over the moon for you Thanks we went and got some girlie bits yesterday! I'm with Keep, I don't like to much pink, but some of the stuff is cute Wink

Happy birthday Geek! Cake

Good luck on the rat smacking Too!

Thank you for all the anniversary wishes everyone!

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 17/10/2013 11:46

Congratulations Stacks that's fab news!

Beedle sounds like the follie dancing is working GrinGrin not long know. I bet your getting excited x

Stacks · 17/10/2013 11:21

DH was actually more convinced by yesterday's test than I was, and again by this morning's. We'd agreed not to pee on expensive sticks till the weekend though, so I'll have to 'fess up at some point.

DinoSnores · 17/10/2013 11:19

Excellent, Stacks! Congratulations! What does DH know about all the tests? Does he believe the tests any more than you have done?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 17/10/2013 11:15

Congratulations Stacks that's amazing news ThanksThanks

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 17/10/2013 11:13

oh congratulations stacks :o :o :o Are you going to wait until this evening to tell DH?

Stacks · 17/10/2013 11:05

This time im telling you guys first. Mr postman arrived just as I needed a wee, fate right? There are two little lines on that FRER... :)

That's great news on the follies beedle. All the dancing seems to have worked, even if we were all dancing discern steps to different tunes!

keepitgoing · 17/10/2013 09:32

Good growing beedle!!

stacks I agree girls clothes tend to be cuter, but I'm not so keen on too much pink and frills

Stacks · 17/10/2013 09:17

I somehow missed your news about the scan Beedle. Good luck!

Too go smack that rat :) I read the name Fintana as Finatra.. As in, Frank. A possibility Maybe? Congrats on the baby girl, are you looking forward to buying all the pretty things? I don't really believe in gender stereotypes, but I've found baby girl clothes seem to have more thought and detail put into them. Lots of the boy stuff was a bit boring, even when very cute.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 17/10/2013 09:14

it does sound promising stacks we'll get excited for you until you feel ready Halloween Smile

geek hope MrGeek has brought you breakfast in bed and that twatboss is sick so you won't need to see him today Halloween Grin

well the scan went well, she measured a few of them that varied from 13-23mm and said there were at least 9 there. They're going to call me tomorrow lunchtime to let me know if its going to be Mon or Tues for EC. poor MrB saw someone he knows through work in teh waiting room Halloween Shock though they were obviously there for the same reason so its not like they're going to mention it, but rather embarassing all the same.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 17/10/2013 08:39

Stacks it sounds really promising! I'm really excited for you but I get why you and DH are being cautious. Brooking for a big fat line tomorrow Grin

Geek happy birthday! Hope you have a lovely day and MrG spoils you rotten Smile

Beedle good luck with the scan, brooking for lots of juicy follies. Well done MrB for getting it all sorted.

Too good work on starting the rat smacking. I used to always stick my legs up afterwards until I got really bored of that about 2 years ago

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 17/10/2013 08:34

Rat-smacking. Rat-smacking, ffs.

Cross-post with Stacks - yay! Hooray for slightly more present lines! How are you feeling? Glad DH is calming down and feeling happier.
