AF due today or tomorrow, no sign of her yet but still holding off on testing, can't tell my DP of another BFN so close to the end of my cycle. Will probably test Monday or Tuesday if she stays away.

Fx everyone who is still waiting :)

m33r · 28/09/2013 09:49

Wispa. I'm holding on for a bfp at more than 15dpo but think I'm dreaming! Thanks though!

wispaxmas · 28/09/2013 09:40

Cheesy, I'm not getting any symptoms, either, unless you count catching a stonking cold Angry

I'm really hoping it's not just the vitamins doing this to you girls, I'm hoping it's that you're pg, but just not registering on tests yet. I know someone who had BFNs everyday until 18dpo.

cheesysmile · 28/09/2013 09:27

Thanks m33r, not loads of symptoms, but some. Tummy bloating has gone but still getting some twinges in boobs and my mouth is so dry if I didn't know better id think id been out drinking last night, lol.

I'm glad you have such a lovely dh to support you, not sickly, just great Smile I so hope both you and purple get ur bfps soon.

jessieagain · 28/09/2013 09:24

Congratulations on the bfp cheesy

writer hope things start to improve for you soon! Flowers

Hope the rest of you waiting get bfps soon!

purple thank you for posting that review, I ha no idea something 'natural' could cause such effects.

m33r · 28/09/2013 09:18

Cheesey. Try not to worry about another mc... Easier said than done but we're all routing for you!! You getting symptoms or are you feeling quite 'normal'?

lucyfluff · 28/09/2013 09:16

Morning ladies, well after a night of painful cramps I've woken up to nothing! What a load of crap!!

I can feel AF coming though just expect it to be a few days then off to the october bus I will go!!!

m33r · 28/09/2013 09:16

I have everything crossed for you and should also say that it's great you guys have each other! My DH was kinda thinking when he hadn't met 'the one' (whatever that is??) by the time he was early 30s, it wasn't going to happen. Even though we don't have a baby (yet) I'm so lucky to have him (and hopefully he thinks the same!) :-) cor! I'm feeling the love this morning! Maybe I should stop posting in case I make us all sick - my way of keeping upbeat with my long cycles and BFNs. :-)

PurpleGeekyGirl · 28/09/2013 09:08

M33r no no strain here either thankfully and he's wonderfully pragmatic and supportive about it all. We don't want ivf but I do want to know if it's going to happen ever!! He's 40 and I am 39 so the odds are against us anyway. He's such an amazing step dad to my 10yo that I'd love him to have his own kid too.

m33r · 28/09/2013 09:04

Purple. Me too. It's not putting a strain on our relationship or anything but I have days where I just want to go to sleep and wait for tomorrow without speaking to anyone - usually around the last two days of 2ww. This can't be easy for DH as I'm usually very cheery but I just wish these days away and have nothing to say to anyone.

My DH (and me too) would both love to be pg and DH is sure we would go down ivf route (we've hSd to start to discuss) though I'm not sure it would be the right thing... I dunno. I just didn't think it's be this hard. I'm 30; he's 42 btw.

cheesysmile · 28/09/2013 09:02

Morning! I'm still hoping for a few more bfps before the bus moves to Oct.

Thanks impatiently, I remember being really pleased when you got ur bfp and so glad all going well for you. A lady on another thread told me less chance of mc if conceive again within 6 mths of mc so im clinging to that.

Writer don't be so silly, everyone just wants it to be ok for you ((hugs))

PurpleGeekyGirl · 28/09/2013 08:58

M33r sorry you're in the same situation. My usual cycle is 23-25 days with ov on cd11 and a 14 day Luteal phase. I know I ovd this cycle as had 21 day bloods so at least that happened but it doesn't explain lots of bfns and an AWOL af!

I've had all the stuff checked I need to at the gps, don't drink much, don't smoke, exercise regularly, am not stressed, am right weight yada yada yada. It has been so weird this cycle as no af pains, no sore boobs, loads more pg symptoms than normal but no BFP sigh.

Hope we both get a BFP or af soon so we can move on to next cycle. I am resigned to it not happening now tbh... Dp has been ace but I am sick of the pressure it's been putting on us, even tho I am trying to be zen about it. Am going to ditch opks until new year and just chill out I think. I didn't really want to be ttc at nearly 40 but split with ex h three years ago and met new dp who has no kids two years ago and he really wants kids so I'm happy to try for him.

pregnacare review

PurpleGeekyGirl · 28/09/2013 08:51

Missy totally agree with m33r about tracking symptoms etc. I now know by two days post ov if af is on her way. Doesn't always help to know that early but it has stopped me getting false hope after ttc for so long!

m33r · 28/09/2013 08:50

Purple. Link not working. Can you try again pls?

m33r · 28/09/2013 08:50

Hi purple. I'm now 15dpo. Two FMU BFNs yesterday. No sign of AF. Previous minth's 40day cycle but usual 14day lp and ov-ed super early this minth so thiught cycle was shortening. No idea what's going on. Been taking folic acid since December - religiously since may. Am normal weight, eat ok, drink socially. Started doing more exercise (but always use stairs; dander round parks without losing breath). Not sure what's going on .... Any hints / tips welcome...

PurpleGeekyGirl · 28/09/2013 08:45

For those asking about pregnacare issues this is basically what's happened to me, am never going to take them again and I wish af would hurry up!

m33r · 28/09/2013 08:44

Hi missv. No you're not clutching at straws - it's not over til AF arrives. Take a few days off then retest. Also, as someone ttc for a while I recommend starting now to take notes of all symptoms, patterns etc. wish I had. It may be that you get slight cramps every month and always have but you haven't noticed as you've not been looking. Or whatever... I just wish I'd kept notes from the start and not just from now.

Writer it is our privilege to share your journey - ups and downs! Keep your chin up and keep using us to vent and share! Hope you're feeling better today.

PurpleGeekyGirl · 28/09/2013 08:37

I don't usually feed the trolls (have been using discussion forums for over 20 years!) but I don't think she's a pure troll, hence my post yesterday. I think she's a very messed up, vulnerable, lonely and immature young woman desperate to have another baby so someone will love her. That makes me sad. I have no issue with unconventional couples having kids or sperm donors etc. I have an issue with honesty and hyperbole. And yes I'm frustrated in not pg yet but that's not why I posted! I can't bear to see another gruesomely detailed post about sex!! I have a perfectly good utterly epic actually, swoon sex life but don't feel the need to share all the details with all of you all the time!!

Re pregnacare it has a large dose of b vits and iron. The reviews on amazon and elsewhere are very mixed and I didn't think it would do anything but I am on cd27 now which is v unusual. In the previous cycle I didn't take it everyday and had loads of spotting and a 17 day cycle. The only thing I've done differently from the previous 13 cycles is take this vit! Am moving on to boots own conception support from today as have finished the pregnacare. Didn't have this issue with the seven seas one! And another bfn this morning. Please can someone send af to me to end this cycle!

Polkadot1 · 28/09/2013 08:26

Folic not frolic!

Polkadot1 · 28/09/2013 08:26

I had started taking pregnacare as a conception supplement, but already have 34-36 day cycles- think I'll swap to just frolic acid / but D LOL!!

Polkadot1 · 28/09/2013 08:24

Thanks for the info WISPA- I hadn't thought about the troll thing- I guess you just think everyone's genuine!!

charleslingus · 28/09/2013 08:14

How much b6 does pregnacare have? From what I've read to really make a difference you have to take whopping amounts accompanied by b12 for it to do anything as we don't store it in our bodies.

wispaxmas · 28/09/2013 08:01

Err, pregnacare, not pregnancy re!

OP posts:
wispaxmas · 28/09/2013 07:57

And as for pregnacy re messing with cycles, if it has b6 in it, it could lengthen cycles, but it usually wouldn't work this quickly. A friend has been taking b6 to lengthen her LP, but it only stretched it by 1 day the first month.
