This is all so new & scary to me so just looking for people I can chat to who know as fewof the abbreviations as me and are going through all the same scary stuff for the first time!! Either that or some pro's who don't mind my million questions!!

I'm very early stages as in body still coming off the contraceptive pill so it might be a while til a get my BFP (I do know that one!!) so might need some chums in the meantime!

OP posts:

Hi Rosiegal, you're so funny, I can beat that, I only came off the pill Thursday just gone and furious I'm not pregnant yet!! Ha ha, well, thats kind of a joke, but I'm very impatient, hence me getting advice on OPKs etc, my poor other half thought this would be fun, he's WRONG, it will be very army like!!!!!! xx

rosiegal · 28/10/2013 16:59

Hi SaraRB123 You sound exactly like me! I'm 30 and my OH 27, we have decided the time is right so I came off the pill (cerazette) 19th September and am absolutely furious that I'm not yet pregnant. Yes I do know how ridiculous that sounds! I started the pill around age 17 so its been so long since I've had a 'normal' period and there are some real horror stories on here about ttc after the pill. I've just had 5 days of very light bleeding so I'm going to work from that and see what happens. I've also bought some ovulation sticks online but have yet to start using them.

SaraRB123 · 28/10/2013 16:43

I hope it happens soon - honestly, its all I can think about?! I have always been very regular before the pill, so hoping I regain that regularity post pill!! Nolly - here's hoping that will be me!! That would just be fab! Any advice on pregnancy tests and ovulation sticks? My friend has recommended having a stock of cheapo ones in the house ready to pee on in case...but not sure about that - tempting fate?! And heard lots about ovulation sticks and apps etc but not really sure about them - or even how they work? Like I said I'm VERY new to this - sorry for the hundred questions, and I have no idea about abbreviations yet so please bear with me :-) xx

sittingpretty25, at least now that you know it's an infection you can get it sorted! (trying to find the silver lining here)

sittingpretty25 · 28/10/2013 13:19

Thanks nolly3 feeling pretty sorry for myself!

sarahrb123 I'm 25, my DH is 27 this will be our first too! I came off the pill end of august, had normal withdrawl bleed beginning of september, and I'm still waiting for AF since then! My doc said its nothing to worry about, its perfectly normal, and that you can still ovulate. His advice was give it three months from coming off the pill, it you still aren't regular or pregnant come back. So, Iv cheapy HPT's to do once a week and we DTD every other day...FC!! (and yes nolly3 the darker nights are sure to help ;))

nolly3 · 28/10/2013 08:51

Thanks Broody and Barmy... sorry to hear about your delayed AF Sittingpretty. I had exactly the same thing - 4 days late with all the symptoms. Never mind - chin up, new cycle. plus, it's getting darker in the evenings now so going to bed earlier than ever ;)

Hey Sara, re coming off pill, I know peeps who have conceived first month off, so you never know! good luck...& you Camsie

SaraRB123 · 27/10/2013 21:23

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me joining in!! I'm also very new, I'm 26 and my partner is 32, we've been together for 10 years and I have literally just come off the pill this weekend. This will be our first baby (if and when if happens- fingers crossed!) and although I'm so excited, after reading horror stories of it not happening very easily after being on the pill, I'm terrified too!! Would love some friends to just talk this stuff through with xx

sittingpretty25 · 27/10/2013 13:50

Well I've finally got a BFP ... only for a kidney infection ... goody. At least I know why I feel so yucky!
Still waiting for AF cd52 :(

barmybunting · 27/10/2013 08:34

Nolly pleased to hear that the Dr has referred you on. It must be so hard to be waiting that long then wait for tests and things. Hopefully your referral will come through soon so you can start to find out more!

I hope everyone is doing ok and we will see some bfps soon. I am in my first tww and debating whether it's worth testing in a few days or just seeing if af turns up. She is due sometime between wed and sun.

broodysnoopstie · 25/10/2013 17:55

Barmy thanks.. Disappointed but wine and best friend to share Wine are both standing by Smile

nolly3 · 25/10/2013 15:50

hi all, I'm a newbie too. TTC for 13 months now, damn AF turned up today 4 days late. so depressing. went to gp who has referred us on - just wish I'd done it earlier cos GP clearly knows not that much about fertility!
sorry for your loss kitchenweasel, hope you get your bfp soon...

took me about 4 months to get normal cycle after coming off pill. we waited because i was finishing up my phd thesis. now of course just wish we'd done our time earlier... sorry to sound negative folks am in a low spot today

glad to have found so many newbies!

sittingpretty25 · 25/10/2013 15:36

BecauseIsaidSO nope nothing has changed over here... CD50 and still going strong ... Last HTP was BFN. Just gots to wait this one out me thinks - sickness not too bad during the day but really bad at night and when I'm waking up, still generally feel blerg, and past few days my tummy has been swelling up and down - literally looked 6 months pg one day, and then back to usual next ... maybe sign of AF ... would like some sort of a sign of ANYTHING soon though, its driving me mental. Literally all I can think about!!!

barmybunting · 25/10/2013 13:44

Oh no Broody*! Stupid AF Sad. I hope you have some wine or your drink of choice hidden away for tonight then! Onwards and upwards...

broodysnoopstie · 25/10/2013 13:00

UPDATE AF has just arrived with a vengeance. Sad

BecauseIsaidS0 · 25/10/2013 09:01

sittingpretty....any news?

broodysnoopstie · 25/10/2013 08:50

Thanks Barmy! Well of course I gave in I POAS yesterday and this morning both BFN. I was secretly convinced so really a bit disappointed. Going to wait until Monday and POAS again. This is day 36 for me never had a cycle this long before! According to my handy app AF is now 6 days late hope she doesn't show up but would like a BFP to go with it!! Ah obsessing about days and dates!!

barmybunting · 24/10/2013 18:30

Hi Broody, nice to have you join us! No way I would manage not to have POAS by now if I was you! Have anyone of your other cycles been this long? Any news today?

Fingers crossed for you!!

broodysnoopstie · 23/10/2013 12:58

Hello! Can I Join? I am brand new too. Hubs and I would love to start a family.
I am 27 came off the pill in June.. Having regular-ish periods 30-33 days from very 1st month, Today is day 34 for me and whilst I've had all signs since Sunday AF still hasn't shown up.. Resisting urge to do a test! Don't want to get hopes up! A couple of my friends have been TTC for 18months with no success feels like if I talk to them about us trying for #1 in first 4months of trying it's rubbing it in.. But I'm obsessing and excited so wanted to talk to the rest of you!

Smile
MrsCM8 · 22/10/2013 23:20

Flaming phone! Fingers crossed for you though

MrsCM8 · 22/10/2013 23:18

Fingers crossed you'll get bfp sittingpretty. I came off the implant just over a month ago and got tons of symptoms - including nausea like never before (including at sight of certain things). Knew chances were I wasn't pregnant....and then AF on Sunday. Ah well, compared to many it's nothing, but do think that coming off hormone things (pill, implant etc) can mess your body around. Hopefully yours will be for

Camsie30 · 21/10/2013 22:02

Hello waves I'm new here too. I am 36, single and hoping to conceive with IUI and donor sperm. I had my first appointment with my Dr on Friday, and am going to start having the blood tests as soon as I get my period. I've just stopped taking the pill after a lot of years, so am willing it to come with all my might, which is a first. Looking forward to hearing of everyone's journeys and adventures in babymaking!

sittingpretty25 · 21/10/2013 21:29

Still feeling so sickly - and hot flushes. Maybe its early menapause?? (I jest)

I've read online that some women just don't get a BFP for months and months down the line. Think I'm going to keep testing every week - especially if symptoms get worse. I'll find out at some point right?? When you are TTC you kinda treat yourself as if you are pg anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Ps - new symptom today ... my boobs are bigger, rounder and rock hard. At least if I'm not pg, DH is going to have no problems TTC ;)

barmybunting · 21/10/2013 16:11

Oh no sittingpretty! But... it may just be that it hasn't shown up for you yet. It certainly sounds like something is going on! Fingers crossed a bfp appears soon for you!

sittingpretty25 · 21/10/2013 15:11

POAS - BFN :( ... who knows why I feel like I do huh? Think I might get some cheapy tests as I heard some people don't get on with the more expensive ones. Feeling shattered today, and even more sickly, and the tummy pains are back. Swiftly starting to think my body hates me!!

nappyaddict · 21/10/2013 12:45

Did you POAS yet?
