Well I thought I'd get the ball rolling and start up the October bus, there's plenty of Cake and Wine on board and extra comfy seats for relaxing into those BFP's

keepswimming I would be optimistic if I were you! You have up to 48 hours after ovulation as well.

hi choccy that sounds very tidy! Grin I dont think i could bring myself to plug it in, i would be worried about risking cystitis!

We have the possibility of a visitor during the 2ww, she will confirm at end of this week if she is coming. Hmm, I think this may mean some very creative dtd, cannot let it get in the way with our every second day plan!

Thanks jaykay, I wasn't using them as I didn't see the point (thought hubby wouldn't make it home) used one last night and one this morning both negative. just need the positive to hold off for a few days now...:)

Springtime26 · 23/09/2013 15:47

thanks jaykay for the response.I ordered some clearblue advance, just waiting for them too arrive. this weekend I bought myself a lovely new bra, to test sods law.

Choccywoccydodah · 23/09/2013 15:46

Hi all. Not been on for a few days, just read back a few posts.
Sorry to see you here Jessie, fingers crossed its your month Smile

For those wanting to know what we do to.....ahem....plug in the man juices......I normally get some tissue ready, wrap it around DHs willy when he's 'done', he slides out and I plug myself with the tissue with my bum up. Sorry if TMI, but you asked ha ha!
And have my conceive plus today on cd8, lets get jiggy!!

jaykay987 · 23/09/2013 14:34

hi keep swimming. that's good news. are you still using opks? everyone has deck for different lengths of time, so difficultto say. if you haven't had positive opk yet - then your timing is probably good!

keepswimming1 · 23/09/2013 13:34

hey guys,

So I have been feeling rather low the last few weeks after hubby told me there was no way that he was going to be home for o day, anyway as it happens I'm experiencing ewcm now and hubby is due home Weds/Thurs... whats my chances? How long does EWCM last for as I think I've already had it for 2 days? and it stops after you O right??
feeling a little more hopeful today :)

Good luck everyone

Hi can someone add me please. I have officially hopped aboard :)

Ttc #2 cycle 2 bfp 25th October.

Good luck everyone. Af started today and I am looking forward to using my new opks so i can pinpoint ov more precisely. The plan is to once again dtd every second day.

jessieagain · 23/09/2013 09:44

Hi can sone

newforest · 22/09/2013 22:26

Hi all, I'm now in the two week wait but not getting my hopes up too high, though I don't doubt I will be disappointed if I receive a negative.

Owlie84 · 22/09/2013 22:10

Thanks!

VJONES1985 · 22/09/2013 19:45

Good luck, owlie

Owlie84 · 22/09/2013 19:41

I've been using the OPKs for three days now, and I've gone from nothing, to a barely there line, to quite a strong line today! Also, what I can only describe as a load of ewcm arrived this afternoon which I haven't seen for a couple of months. So I'm feeling quite positive! Fingers crossed my DH will be confident and have no performance probs this cycle Smile

Well, af started yesterday and is already nearly over. Don't you just love the first few months off the pill???

Kemie · 22/09/2013 14:56

jaykay I'm nearly half way through 2ww, due on 1st oct but I'll know before that as I always get some spotting a couple of days before AF (does mean I'll get to move to the back and stay on the bus which is good as it is going to be such a lucky bus) managed to Dtd 3 times around ov time (not exactly sure as don't get all scientific) but we've both been all poorly and something tells me cycle 7 isn't gonna be the lucky cycle either. Don't mind though as one of my very good friends is getting married at the end of may and I don't really wanna miss it, plus a July baby may coincide with grandma to be's birthday.
I'm surprisingly feeling a bit more relaxed about it this month, that could change though, hormones and all that!

VJONES1985 · 22/09/2013 13:44

Hi jaykay. I'm on cd2 and have about 16 days to go until I ov so I feel your pain. I think aiming for pg this cycle will be a bit optimistic so am just hoping my luteal phase gets longer.

jaykay987 · 22/09/2013 11:07

Morning everyone. The bus is starting to fill up now - not long to go until October!

Any early testers symptom spotting already? Any of you tempted to test in September?

AF has gone now (cd7 today). I've now got the long wait through until ovulation. I hate this wait - I think it's harder than the 2ww! I have almost two weeks before I ovulate. I think it's harder as it feels unfair, as those with normal cycles don't have this punishment (!) plus there's no symptoms to spot! I spend it stressing about trying to guess when I might ovulate, and then trying to work back whether we'll be able to dtd at the right time! Week days are out for us (unless I really pursue) as is dtd two days on the trot. It's a minefield trying to work out the best approach.
I hate this bit of the month! Did I say that already?!

CooCooCachoo · 21/09/2013 22:11

Sorry to hear that VJones, I was surprised at how sad I was to get af this month even though only going into 3rd cycle.

How do you keep it upbeat when you've done all the counting and dtd on recommended days? I am now impatiently waiting for af to finish up to get going again.

Anyone using preseed type stuff or opks on cycle 3? I'd like to but don't want To put any pressure on DH by suggesting that we might need a bit of extra help....

My DM told me yesterday that it took her 3 years to conceive my older sister, I had no idea! my DS was conceived on 2cycle but can't elp b g a bit worried....probably not helping.

VJONES1985 · 21/09/2013 15:29

I'm boarding the bus while sobbing over af arriving a week early again.

VJONES1985 ttc#1 cycle3 bfp due ?

VickyVix · 21/09/2013 10:31

Hi all, can I join this bus please? Grabbing front seat upstairs if it's still free.

Am on mobile so would anyone mind adding me to the list please?

Age 31. ttc #1 cycle 2 BFP due circa 12th Oct

Best of luck to everyone, fingers crossed this is a lucky bus!

jessieagain · 21/09/2013 10:28

Hi everyone, I'm keen to join you all, but I'm still waiting to officially be kicked off the September bus and get my bfp date!!

Feeling very optimistic #2 ttc cycle. And I think October may be my lucky month as it is when we conceived our ds 3 years ago.

GnomieGrace · 21/09/2013 09:48

Hi everyone, Can I jump on the October Bus? TTC#1 cycle4 BFP due October 19th. Struggling with cycles following years on the pill.

jaykay987 · 20/09/2013 17:36

Springtime - Ive only used the advanced. I know lots of people dont like that you sometimes get more than two days high readings (flashing smileys). I like that you get lots of warning sometimes. So deepening how you feel will impact which type you prefer.

In terms of numbers.....it all depends when you ovulate. Th first month I used them I only used 4, as I ovulated quite early. However last month I used 14 as I ovulated late.

There are expensive, but I prefer. To buy the box of 20. Each test is much cheaper. Plus, I don't think Ill be annoyed if my BFP arrives, and I aren't used all the tests!

I've just bought a new box....Im hoping Sod's law will kick in and I won't use many as Ill be getting my BfP this month! Grin
