Well I thought I'd get the ball rolling and start up the October bus, there's plenty of Cake and Wine on board and extra comfy seats for relaxing into those BFP's

AF arrived today so can I be added please?

Fox82 ttc#1 cycle 11 Sad bfp due 22nd oct

Wine is the answer to pmt grumps, and guilt free too, would be rude not to.

had positive opk yesterday matched with app which says ov today, paired with ov pain last night and 2days of ewcm I think I can safely hope ov was when I thought (cycle day 14) luteal phase is always 14 days later so expecting a 27 day cycle. Phew.

Read that sperm needs sometimes 7 hrs to get to its destination, and lives for days so in fact the days before ov are most important, so did 2 (3 day) blocks of shagging ending today with a few more for luck tomorrow and we'll see after that. Good luck, I found cycle 4 I was a lot more committed to dtd, determined month for us, hope it's the same for you!

Sparrowlegs248 · 24/09/2013 18:52

Also i really must try harder!! More dtd is required.

Sparrowlegs248 · 24/09/2013 18:51

Thanks charlie and purple. I'm ok just a bit grumpy! Af was due today but no signs AT ALL til just before i posted earlier. She's a bitch.

I have had about a gazillion biscuits today, done sod all at work and have a bottle of wine for when i get home. :-) onwards......

Charlie, when do you think you ov on a 26 day cycle?

Sorry Notta Thanks

charleslingus · 24/09/2013 17:39

Hi notta, so sorry af came, hope you have lots of cake/wine to soften the blow. I had a 25 day cycle and am on cycle 4 now, it has flown by so hooray for short cycles. Though approaching the dreaded 2 ww where time.goes.backwards...hope you are feeling ok and feeling positive for the next cycle!

Sparrowlegs248 · 24/09/2013 16:09

Afternoon all. Just been kicked off the september bus by the evil AF. So I'm here to join you al.

Please can someone add me?

Nottalotta ttc#1 C4 (already?!?!) bfp due 19th oct.

Tje joys of a shorter cycle.

Choccywoccydodah · 24/09/2013 14:30

Ha ha, think you'll have to. Know what you mean about getting up early. Our ds slept til 7.10 this morning, in his own bed too woohoo, so that was a fab lie in. Normally in our room on the futon at 1am!
Good luck! We have to have a quickie first thing when I've taken ds downstairs for his milk, plonked him in front of peppa pig and quickly run back up. Oh the joys, and we want to do this again?!?!?

jessieagain · 24/09/2013 13:44

choccy not a chance, not with our ds, 6.30 am is a lie in for him!

Will have to be late night/middle of the night quickies I think!

Choccywoccydodah · 24/09/2013 13:09

Hopefully Jessie, just didnt ov til day 16 last time and had a short LP.
Can you have a session in the morning Wink

sparklesandfizz · 24/09/2013 11:12

Could I hop on board please, ttc#3, cycle 1, BFP oct 9th 33 yrs.

jessieagain · 24/09/2013 10:37

The main problem with having a visitor stay will be the late nights up, we will be tired when we get to bed, but will have to just persevere with making the effort! I just wish it was the week before or after.

choccy I don't think ov on or after cycle day 9 is too unusually early for a 26 day cycle, it also means that your lp will be hopefully be longish, so that is a good thing!

Choccywoccydodah · 24/09/2013 09:20

Oh purple, didn't see your post before I just ordered 30 more (but they're only about 10p each) :)

PurpleGeekyGirl · 24/09/2013 09:04

I've got a load of ic opks that just don't work for me at all. Does anyone want them for postage? There's tons of the feckers!

Choccywoccydodah · 24/09/2013 09:02

Will have to start with the opks for sure then Smile. I've only got 8 left, so may have to order more as I want to do them twice a day as not to miss it.

PurpleGeekyGirl · 24/09/2013 09:00

Choccy I do the tissue thing too. Re ewcm my cycle on a 25 day one means I ov on cd11 so ewcm this early is normal for me.

Choccywoccydodah · 24/09/2013 08:57

Just dtd very quietly jessie. We used to live away from home and always had someone staying it seemed, or we were back home visiting, you've just got to get on with it lol!

We've always done the tissue thing. One to clean dh up as he withdraws, then plug it to get me to the loo lol! So this is just an adaption for ttc!

So, am a little confused. Last month was my first month off the pill and ttc. I got one day of ewcm, but quite thin, on cd14 then a positive opk on CDs 16/17.
I am currently on cd9, last night I had the same thin ewcm. Still stretchy, but not very thick. I did an opk yesterday at 11.30am just to see, and only one line so a clear negative, but then I had the mucus.
My cervix is super high, to a point where I can only just touch it with the tip of my middle finger.
Could I be ovulating this early?? My cycle length last time was 26 days. I haven't tested today yet.

SoMuchFruit · 24/09/2013 08:31

I don't know if they are 'officially' considered irregular jaykay but as I've been reading about lots of ladies who are literally regular to the day every month I was considering them irregular.

Normal for me is 29/30 but the shortest (last month) has been 27 and the longest was 34. Not huge variation but enough to cause confusion!

I thought I'd give the eod idea go for a couple of cycles then if nothing by Christmas I will give the OPK's a try. I am not sure about temping, I regularly wake up in the early hours due to a mix of DS trotting around the house and my own minor insomnia, so not sure whether temping would work for me.

I am going to buy some preseed though. I am pretty sure I don't have enough EWCM so Preseed it is!

jaykay987 · 24/09/2013 08:23

somuch - are those considered irregular cycles?
Mine vary a little. February was 29 days, normal is 30-32, but June was 39. I didn't think I had irregular cycles - just annoyingly longer than average.

I temp and use opks so can't help with your other question. Though since starting my ov days have varied by 5 days (cd17-cd22) so without tracking I'd have no clue.

SoMuchFruit · 24/09/2013 07:56

jessieagain .. awkward, definitely some creative DTD needed!

Good luck Owlie

SoMuchFruit · 24/09/2013 07:53

Wow Choccy ! That is dedication! Thanks for the answer. I am not sure OH would be enthusiastic about that but I am impressed at your tenacity.

If I am on a 27 day cycle it should be CD14 for me (Ov day) so far we have been DTD every other day. I don't really want to use OPK's etc just yet but this random cycle business is frustrating as I am not really sure when I ovulate.

Is there anyone else not using OPK's/Charting etc that has irregular cycles ? Mine have varied between 27 and 34 this year so far, with 29/30 being the average.

wispaxmas · 24/09/2013 07:32

I'm not joining the bus, just here to chat a bit :)

Come on October BFPs!

PurpleGeekyGirl · 24/09/2013 06:59

Marking my spot whilst I wait for af...

jessieagain · 23/09/2013 21:48

Oops, that should be.......the visitor is coming (possibly) during the second week of my cycle, smack bang in the middle of ov!

(Must have 2ww wait on my mind as it lasted so long last time)
