I don't get a lot of ewcm as far I as remember. I've bought some conceive plus and want to use it tonight, no ifs or buts! We've had a busy few days, ds has been a nightmare to put to bed so after dinner I've been flat out knackered. Have still negative opk, so we're still pre ov so lots of BDing will be had over the next few days.

I don't care if we have a boy or a girl tbh, I just want another bubba. Yes, one of each would be lovely, but a brother for ds would be equally as lovely

I'm back. Technically I'm not here as me and DH decided not to 'try' this month so no temping and opks and just DTD cos we wanna. Last long haul holiday really messed with cycle few months ago so with my trip to America this month thought it'd be less stressful for me this time round (which is actually true). Still can't be away from you mn guys too long. Does this make me a mn addict?

mrsb- do you know approx how long your cycles are? mine average at 32 so I start using them cd10. I think cd8 is about normal time to start. usually the instructions give you an example

Ok, thank you wispaxmas! I don't think I get a lot of EWCM, I had some on CD11, then just the usual CM for a day afterwards, and now nothing. I guess we'll have to wait and see!

My opk's have arrived today so hoping they will be useful, never used them before!! I'm on cd2, when do I need to start using them?

You can ovulate up to a couple days after you get a positive opk, so if your opk was positive on CD12, you could have ovulated any day from 12-15 or so. Do you keep track of cm as well? If you get EWCM it should vanish when you ov. But the only way to know the date for sure is to check bbt for the temp spike.

But it's also possible that you have a longer than average LP, which isn't a terrible thing. Way better than a short one!

Oh I'm confused!

I have a fairly regular 27/28 day cycle, and according to the OPKs this month, I ov'ed on CD12 - is this too early? (the My Days app has its heart set on CD15, but I guess I should trust the OPK over an app?)

We didn't dtd before I got a +OPK, but we did (just about) on CD12 and CD13. Have I missed my chance this month? Should we still dtd? I've got a bit of a achy back and a twingy right side today, so I don't know what to think.

Hi Ladies. Hopping on board from the September bus. I'm on cd56 and no AF (and a million BFNs), but started using OPKs again and got a positive on Sunday so jumped DH immediately!

Cycles have been so irregular I'm guessing at my BFP date...

Morning all, in my effort to get healthy whilst ttc I'm trying to give up smoking. However I'm on a 12 hour shift, we're understaffed and I'm stressing so I feel I might not be as good today.
Also thinking about the big glass of wine I'll inhale at 9pm when I get home.

No makeup or change of clothes does sound like a nightmare though! I'd be heading out before work to go and buy some.

Ah Jessie that sounds rubbish, don't worry about your vits, the reason we take them before conceiving is so we have a store, so you've probably built up a good vitamin level, just get back on them when you can, frustrating I know.

Just thinking if we got pg this cycle would be able to tell grandparents on Christmas day, how lovely would that be! (Would normally tell them earlier but would probably wait for such a lovely time of year)

Jesse, it's something to do with the ph levels in your cm, and it's usually too acidic for the little guys.

Aggghhhh. Im very annoyed today. Despite leaving for work at 5.30 this morning, i had to work so late there were no trains home. I'm now in a horrible hotel with no toiletries, no make up nor a change of clothes to go into work tomorrow.

Has this annoyed me? No. I am however super annoyed that I can't temp tomorrow morning, will miss tonight's vitamins and tomorrow mornings vitamins.

We are going to be trying well before ov as I want to try and increase the chances of conceiving a girl. The theory of pre/post ov and gender was relevant to conceiving our ds (I believe) as dp was away for the first part of the cycle when we conceived him and I actually though we had missed the window completely as it was just after ewcm had stopped when we started dtd that cycle.

I think 7 hours is a bit on the long side of an estimate of how long sperm takes to get to the egg.. Apparently it can be only a matter of minutes, or a couple hours, but I think 7 hours would be a sign of low mobility in the sperm. Also, the quicker ones will be healthier and thus better equipped to fertilise that egg!

But yes, the 2 days pre ovulation are the best, as eggs can die in as little as 6 hours! However, unless you have fertile cm, the sperm won't survive the journey, which is why preseed comes in handy if you don't get EWCM.. It helps the little guys survive.

That is true, and at least I get af regularly, so many others worse off.

Surely we'll be upduffed by Xmas!! The chance is 1 in 4 every cycle so I won't be thinking otherwise. Of course it will happen!

(Although I've got my opks ready to go, but that is as far as science will help me as I don't think temping would suit my lifestyle unfortunately)

Hi jessie i know what you mean - but we are never happy with our lot! I worry my LP will be too short. Who the hell knows? I sure as shit don't! If i am not upduffed by christmas will consider temping and opks but just shagging til then! (need to shag more....)

Thanks Charlie - i am just using an app - my days - to work out poss ov date. Had almost 3 days of spotting last month but none this time and af turned up late afternoon so i think i might make a 26 day cycle this time.
