International just out of interest will you be moving in together when you have your baby, or parenting separately? Not a judgement, just genuinely interested! :)

Sparrowlegs248 · 08/09/2013 17:36

Leezl i have to say, although we do both enjoy sex we rarely dtd more than once or twice a week in nirmality. Maybe 3 but that would be an exception. We have both said recently we'd like to be getting more but life/work/tiredness has a habit of getting in the way. So this month i am aiming for more during the fertile period but i REALLY don't want it to become a chore.

If i am still not up the duff in a few months i will up the ante so to speak.

somuchfruit that is what i worry about. My other two are lively and excitable but generally safe (even if they look crazy) this one tho, is the one i ride most (others are pretty much retired) and is 90% angel and 10% idiot. Went out today, all fine except for a very scary round bale of hay in a field. Which caused much back/ a spin and aleap into the field on the other side of the road. No cars around thankfully.

Everyone i know who has kept riding has had an easy birth. Fingers crossed!!

international have you put your friend in the picture yet? Sounds like things are a bit more settled.

CoffeeGuzzler · 08/09/2013 17:31

Leezle and Cupcake I know what you mean. We usually dtd once a week no thanks dh's very busy job and the spaniels jumping on bed. Tbh I don't mind not going at it every day. When we first started dating, we couldn't keep our hands off each other for about a year. Now it's more kiss boink boink kiss sleep. Though sometimes with the combination of wine and long weekends/ holidays brings the rawr back.

internationallove985 · 08/09/2013 17:25

We've got a few hours of D.T.D tommorow day. He's just called me to arrange some fun as I'm not back in work till Tuesday and he's not in work till the night, so it's not worth wasting the day. He's getting to mine for 12 as I'm going for a bit of retail therapy in the morning.
Going to D.T.D from 12- 3ish.

So that's a happy day for me. Just as well that we have an extra day as it's almost my fertile period.

I must be the only women who has to book sex into her diary. xx

lucyfluff · 08/09/2013 17:22

Lol @ somuchfruit!! Its hars not to symptom spot tho, especially if you feel something new.

I was trying to remember previous symptoms and it was extreme tiredness/sore nips and that was it. But it could all be different this time. Bodies are wierd!!!

I gave myself a talking to last month and defo not poas until AF is late this month!!

internationallove985 · 08/09/2013 16:47

Ooh crazy moment alert. I wrote down the wrong fertile day. 10- 14 as apposed to 17 -21 Sept. I thought that seemed too late in my cycle. I'll only be seeing him 11th 13th and 14th (am) so I'll have to pounce on him as much as possible on those days. I very much Doubt he'll be complaining. xxx

SoMuchFruit · 08/09/2013 16:32

nottalotta - am another rider. Just going to see how if goes if I manage to get prego. Last time I rode until 20wks, quiet enough horse but had a fall (broke my hat!) and that was the end of that. Wasn't the horses' fault either but it scared the crap out of me. This time I think I'd potter until I have a bump but will see how I feel. Horse is not exactly quiet!

lucyfluff - I am like a crazy person with the 'symptoms' .. this afternoon I have heartburn which I don't usually get! I think it's psychosomatic though.. I am convincing myself lol

With DS I was swollen boobed, cranky and a bit sicky from about 2 days before AF was due so..

internationallove985 · 08/09/2013 16:30

I agree there's no right or wrong in the amount of times each week/month for a couple have sex. Providing your happy then that's fine and As long as you try and fit as much in when you're fertile. I've just Googled my fertile days 17-21 Sept. xx

Cupcake1985 · 08/09/2013 16:24

Leezl you are not alone. My DH couldn't dtd today he blamed it on the hangover and the fact we have dtd too often. Its the worst time of the month to run out of steam. Normally we only dtd one a week or so due to our busy jobs leaving us tired. We're both happy with this. Baby making is fun but we don't mess about we get in and get out and sleep lol.

My friend said the other day her and her dp only dtd once a month or so. Then another friend was shocked at such a lack of dtd. I think everyone is different.

leezl · 08/09/2013 15:58

I'm feeling way less obsessed than last cycle... I don't even know when I've ovulated this cycle so we're just DTD every other day regardless.

Okay a big confession from me...

I have never been that interested in sex (shock horror, I know!) so I'm finding TTC really boring now. Luckily I feel that I want a family more than I don't want to have sex, haha!
But reading about some of you doing it more than once a day is so alien to me (okay maybe when I was a teenager I could have related Wink) lol!!

Hope everyone's had a lovely weekend. I'm having a day off exercising today (been doing the 30 Day Shred) so I'm feeling very lazy!

lucyfluff · 08/09/2013 13:56

Somuchfruit - that sounds like preggers symptoms to me :))))

Cupcake1985 · 08/09/2013 13:42

coffee I literally picked kale up for the first time today (after being fed it as a child put me off for years) but put it back again!. Just googled your joke about gwenyth and wishing I'd bought it! Might counteract the glasses of wine I keep drinking even though I said I would be tea total Confused just waiting for my hungover DH to wake up so we can dtd at this most crucial time of the month. Mmmmmm stale beer breath lol

Sparrowlegs248 · 08/09/2013 13:24

Oh and sorry about your af showing up ginger thats rubbish. I know what you mean about mn feeding the obsession too. Hence my trying to keep it lighthearted but then its easy at this stage of the cycle.

Good luck next time.

Sparrowlegs248 · 08/09/2013 13:21

Oops posted too soon. Undecided about what i will do about riding if when i get preggers one of the horses is a bit of a div. I am very careful anyway so will prob carry on while its comfortable.

onefunky my DH has no idea how planned this whole thing is!

somuchfruit well that certainly sounds promising if a little early? FX they are symptoms. I had utter exhaustion and queasiness on cycle 1 - must have been a virus. I never get like that thouh so was convinced. Ho hum.

Off home for some lunch. I'm hank marvin.

Sparrowlegs248 · 08/09/2013 13:16

Glad everyone finds my sex life so amusing! Grin

I'm not putting my life on hold either. O am cutting down on wine as was drinking too much for my liking but not giving up.

CoffeeGuzzler · 08/09/2013 12:56

Hello hello.

Been off MN for a few days because a friends was staying over at our place between moves...and I didn't want to blow my 'oh no rush for a baby..only been married a year' pretense.

Notta...you made me really lol and that doesn't happen as often as I type it.

7dpo today and no symptoms either way. Also, I am in the camp of 'can't put my life on hold'. I live and work in London...in the very high pressure (and social) advertising industry. Can not realistically shun wine/coffee for ttc that might be for months and months. When I get preggers, I'll buy the Gwyneth Paltrow book on kale 50 ways and hopefully that'll make up for it. Smile

Any bfps this weekend?

onefunkymama · 08/09/2013 12:52

Yes I agree sex is for fun too. Its hard not to obsess but I try to do it quietly or it freaks hubby out! Good luck to you too. Think AF is due this week, we'll see....

internationallove985 · 08/09/2013 12:48

No doubt symptoms are there all the time. One funky mama. It's just that you seem to obsess over them when ttc and I include myself in that as well. If I have sore boobs or notice the smallest change in my body. I start to build my hopes up.
One thing I am very strict with myself about though is make sure I have sex for pleasure and not just do it with the intentions of getting pregnant. As stressing is certainly not going to help. However sometimes not getting stressed like a lot of things in life is easier said that done.

Good luck for your next cycle. xx

onefunkymama · 08/09/2013 12:41

Even though this will be baby number 3 for us its the first time we have actually 'tried' (first two babies were first cycle.) Both times I did not realise I was preg until I got BFPs on a hunch. This time, after 5 months trying I "see" symptoms all the blooming time. I wish I could stop trying to see symptoms!

internationallove985 · 08/09/2013 12:41

Hi Sorry to take this thread slightly off topic again, but I've learned lots of acrynems since joining mumsnet. x

internationallove985 · 08/09/2013 12:25

Ha ha. . Thanks for letting me know what it meant, writer and choccy.
I realise it was a joke now, must have been having a moment. We're here to support each other certainly not argue. Let's just call it a misunderstanding and move on. x

Choccywoccydodah · 08/09/2013 12:18

It means Laugh My Fucking Ass Off International. It's a joke, chill!

Writerwannabe83 · 08/09/2013 12:18

international

LMFAO = laughing my fuc*ing ass off!

And my face was only because there is a fine line between women having a joke and a laugh about blow jobs and comments that are a bit, "Do we really need to know that?" Whether a woman chooses to spit or swallow is her own business and I just found it a bit tasteless - no pun intended, haha Smile

SoMuchFruit · 08/09/2013 12:08

Congratulations to those who got their BFP's! Smile

I haven't been able to post on here all week as I've been so busy but have had a very cheery morning catching up! Thanks for that, was feeling extremely fed up all of yesterday and until this thread made me laugh.

Am in starting 2nd week of 2WW today - AF due next Sunday/15th. Am trying to act all cool about this but symptom spotting has taken over my life - how does anyone get anything done when 75% of the brain is thinking about what is going on (or not) in my uterus!

Anyone think these 'symptoms' mean anything ?

Random sudden puking attack - so bad I had to pull over on a main rd in the dark to be ill - but wasn't. Just copious amounts of salty/metallic saliva (sorry - tmi) This was 3dpo (egg in tube ?)

Extremely swollen and sore boobs yesterday, stinging sore at the sides and very heavy. This is mostly gone today (the soreness) but they are bigger than usual. Yesterday was 6dpo.

Last night I was STARVING and we had a naughty kebab. I got threequarters the way through my chicken tikka kebab, took a yummy mouthful and .. literally had to force myself to swallow the mouthful. Mouth was dry and I felt really full/ill. Couldn't eat another thing. Couldn't even face a cup of tea.

This morning weird sharp twinging pains - a bit left of where your appendix would be (I don't have one - taken out years and years ago) Not enough to take anything for but sore enough to register.

See.. am mental. I probably just have wind.Envy

internationallove985 · 08/09/2013 12:06

What does LMFAO mean and I don't need to gate crash any thread I'm as welcome here as the next women whose ttc, and even if I'm not I'll just stay anyway. Also if talking about oral is good enough for you then it's good enough for me. x
Also writer why just the sceptical face to me and no-one else I was not the only one who mentioned B.Js (also sceptical). x
