Hi ladies, how are you all? Dosney and gilly how are things going? Just wanted to drop by and check in on you both Smile Hope all is well xxx

jessieagain · 10/09/2013 07:40

englishteacher so sorry to hear this :( fingers crossed for you next month.

nottalotta no nothing like that happened to me. I would have been shocked Shock Maybe I gave out 'don't touch' vibes without even knowing. And I had a big bump too!

englishteacher78 · 10/09/2013 07:30

Anyway, told DH we'd have to have a lot more sex this month - he didn't seem too bothered!Grin

Sparrowlegs248 · 10/09/2013 07:25

Its odd how it gets you isn't it? I was bizarrely convinced i'd get bfp month one and was really upset that i didn't. Month two i somehow knew i wouldn't and even with some spotting poss implantation bleed i was fully expecting af and was on time. I think i'll be upset this month though as trying a bit harder. Take care.

Also meant to say goid luck to leezl

A whole fortnight to wait for me. Sigh.

englishteacher78 · 10/09/2013 07:19

@nottalotta - I didn't think I'd be upset and probably just hormones and because I'm in pain but I'm close to tears here.

PurpleGeekyGirl · 10/09/2013 07:18

Hugs English sorry af arrived and you're feeling a bit down Hmm

Sparrowlegs248 · 10/09/2013 07:16

Ooooh noooo english!!! So sorry to hear that. FX for you next month.

jessie i just remember being out with a preggo friend and random strangers smiling and patting her bumb. I wouldn't like it. She was much better at it than i would be! If i am lucky enough to get pg it will come as a total shock to most people.

englishteacher78 · 10/09/2013 06:32

As expected, I'm off to the October bus. In a lot of pain and feeling a little down. At least it was on time this month and not two days late!

englishteacher78 · 10/09/2013 06:13

Resisting getting up as I'm relatively sure AF will show up - but DH has just got back from night shift so up I must get

jessieagain · 09/09/2013 23:42

I should say that the reason I was so surprised by the reactions was because they would have all assumed that it was an accidental pregnancy (it wasn't) as we didnt fit the stereotype of a couple ttc iykwim.

jessieagain · 09/09/2013 23:28

I don't remember many people wanting to feel my bump!? Apart from little kids who want to give it a kiss or cuddle :) which will be lovely for ds to do now.

People were lovely about my pregnancy. Strangers, friends, colleagues. Really kind and happy for me which was a lovely surprise. I didn't think people would be so interested to be honest.

internationallove985 · 09/09/2013 22:35

I had no problems with anyone feeling my bump when I was carrying D.D. I was grateful when strangers took an interest they didn't have to.
I'll have no problems with people holding baby international as I'll want to get him/her used to people as I'll not be giving up work, no way. I'll be putting him/her in a nursery.
My God I am thinking a head, aren't I. x

Sparrowlegs248 · 09/09/2013 22:26

I'm looking forward to the maternity leave!! I think i will like being preggers but i'm not good with random strangers trying pat my stomach etc. And i think i will have to wallop anyone who thinks they can just 'have a hold' of baby notta (not people i know well/like obvs!)

I am scared of fatness and never losing baby weight. And a bit scared of strugglibg financially ok a lot scared but it will all be worth it.

I still think we have a rough deal though. I mean all this talk of squatting to feel your cervix, checking mucas, po(lots of)s. Periods. Pmt. Goddamn constipation due to the bloody ttc vitamins!! Etc etc. All DH has to do is deliver the goods!!

VJONES1985 · 09/09/2013 22:15

disney - the ideal position for it is squatting or putting one foot on the bath/toilet. I squat when checking mine and find that sometimes my cervix is to the front and sometimes it's straight up, but I think that's just due to the way I'm positioned.

internationallove985 · 09/09/2013 22:05

I had morning sickness right though with D.D. accompanied with pre eclampsia. I know I'll probably have a difficult pregnancy this time around as well but it'll certainly be worth it. xx

jessieagain · 09/09/2013 22:00

I didn't mind early or mid pregnancy, but found the last couple of months very uncomfortable, just felt huge and heavy and tired with lots of muscles aches/pains etc. And I had an 'easy' pregnancy so I feel huge sympathy for those with 'difficult' pregnancies.

DisneyDiva87 · 09/09/2013 21:58

I can't feel my cervix but I'm only cd9 surely it should only be high if I'm ovulating? I was lying down when I did it is that the wrong way to do it?

I can't wait to experience pregnancy although I'm sure I won't enjoy it if I'm sick all the time and constipated and fat and uncomfortable and sweaty and farty but hopefully I won't be all of those for the whole 9 months

leezl · 09/09/2013 21:57

I'm off for a few days, ladies! I'll be back with news of my BFP/BFN ;D

Best wishes all!

VJONES1985 · 09/09/2013 21:53

And I would be disappointed if I couldn't have a natural birth but I know these things happen.

VJONES1985 · 09/09/2013 21:52

I'm looking forward to the whole thing. It is a privilege to carry a baby and I can't wait to experience something I can be truly proud of. Yes, it will hurt and, as a diabetic, may well have added stress for me, but I still can't wait :-)

internationallove985 · 09/09/2013 21:50

I'm going to opt for another c/section if I do become pregnant. D.D was a c/section. Every other women I know who has given birth by C/Section has been given a choice with their subsequent D.C, so I don't see why I'd be any different. I will admit the thought of giving birth terrifies me. x

leezl · 09/09/2013 21:49

Wispa I think I'm with you... I'm terrified.

I am happy to be a woman, but then I've never known anything else GrinGrinGrin

jessieagain · 09/09/2013 21:48

wispa I agree with you, I always thought it would be good if humans were like lizards and could just make a nest for our eggs. Not so much like birds though, as sitting on the nest would be dull.

Cupcake1985 · 09/09/2013 21:45

Uuummmmm I'm really looking forward to being pregnant. Primarily as I then know I'm not barren. I'm not looking forward to weight gain, stretch marks, constipation and labour. But overall very much more looking forward to it than not....

PurpleGeekyGirl · 09/09/2013 21:43

Wispa that's what the drugs are for Wink seriously tho it's not the nicest part of it all but it doesn't last forever and you soon forget. If you didn't the human race wouldn't continue!
